My growth strategy lately has been to play a game with a decent viewer base but without a large RU-vidr presence. in other words, I'm trying to be "that guy" for the game. It's working pretty well, especially lately. The only problem is that it will be harder to introduce new series into my channel because the viewers come for one game and don't necessarily care about others. To get around this I had my viewers all chime in on what games they would like to see. I created a list of similar games to the one I play and have expanded to a new series whilst also retaining views from the people who come to my channel for the first game. It's been a long, hard process but it's starting to bring fruition. On top of that I have a series that does not do very well but I keep doing because I enjoy doing it more. If it gets popular than great. If not I'm still having fun. Oh, and on the top of series that are slow burns. My most popular video is the second video I ever made. It's horrible quality but people still watch it and comment on it every day. I annotated the shit out of the beginning letting people know to watch my newer videos because they are better. Great podcast as always :D
+RedAtMath I actually recorded another one in December as a end of year summary, but I never got around to editing it. People have been asking so I need to sit down and get it it out. It's not really out of date since the discussion is on games which are still out and popular. I wanted to make these a regular thing, but both finding a 2 hour chunk to record as well as sitting down to edit through the voice tracks takes time. Glad you enjoyed them though.
