YouTube TV vs Hulu Tv: Which is Better? (2024) 

i just quit Hulu because their price is going up. I am still undecided, i don't watch TV like i used to.

As someone who had YTTV when it was only $25 these price increases are making me consider cable again.

I switched to RU-vid TV because of sports options and 3 screens. Never have figured out how to use the Family Option.

I have chosen Hulu TV due to the additional content of Hulu on demand library, Disney+ & ESPN+. This would cost extra on top of the RU-vid TV price. In addition I like the cable like channels selection better on Hulu TV (History, MeTV etc.). I can still by the NFL ticket, directly from RU-vid. I am not sure of RU-vid TV's on demand library, but it is no where near Hulu's content, not to mention the Hulu originals (Hand Maid Tales). Overall a good comparison.

My family has had RU-vid TV for a few years; and the only complaint we have had is the price. We are looking at other options like Hulu TV and DirectTV Stream maybe bundled with our AT&T Internet or a bundle with Sparklight in the future.

After watching your video I am going with RU-vid TV because of the sports. Thank you for the analysis! You made it an easy decision for me.

RU-vid TV also is missing The CW in certain markets.

When I first decided to switch from cable to streaming, I tried RU-vidTV. I did not like it. The DVR was clunky, show episodes weren't grouped together. When I FF'd the preview pane was black, so had no idea when I was done passing the commercials. Tried Hulu LiveTV and none of these problems existed. I just tried RU-vidTV again this weekend. Some issues fixed, but DVR still clunky where watched episdoes can't be deleted, but are now grouped together. Also, some of my recorded episodes would not let me FF through the commercials, and no, they weren't VOD programs. These 2 factors led me to drop YTTV once again and stick with Hulu. I don't care about sports one bit, so that wasn't a factor for me.

But when you say live tv ...is it really live or a live stream that just says live. If theres brakeing news on fox i should be able togo to that channel and see it live just like cable. Is that how youtube tv works/means when they say live tv ....?

People like myself are fixing broken vhs movies with Scotch tape it doesn't stop playing at all like internet does in the future

RU-vid TV does have the ACC network

Had dish for 12yrs, always had to deal with price increases and, extra charges for local channels, equipment and, add on packages for more expenses. Tried RU-vid TV and added some movie packs and, when all said and done monthly charge was $40 less per month than dish. Dish offers 1 free movie certificate per month, not a deal breaker.

I chose Hulu TV because of their channels offered...but Cable TV is way more user-friendly. 😳 And with Hulu and RU-vid TV pricing so high right now, I may end up going back to Spectrum on a "new subscriber special offer"! Ha!

If you are paying a subscription you should be able to turn off the advertisers! All of them, especially the drug ads!

I chose Hulu for one very important reason you failed to mention... Whether you can hv a billing issue or a technical question, you can give a live person at Hulu. You can never talk to anyone at RU-vid TV... Hulu is worth it for that reason alone. RU-vid has no phone number to call at all for anything!

I just want to say now I only watch the internet because I cut the cord when I drop cable on the final week of last month of last year, but RU-vid TV does offer a sports package of the ESPN channels and the ACC Network because I have seen it especially watching college sports for sure, and I also watch Hulu TV live as well which doesn't offer any sports channels at all, but I think it's because I selected the $17.99 subscription plan of Hulu okay. I am with atat uverse right now and thinking about making the switch to YT TV and ive heard that you cannot have multiple users on all at once unless you buy the 4k package for 9.99? Is that true. I have 4 in a household and we all watch different shows on different TVs.

Hulu TV is so annoying with the way it changes or doesn't recognize my home location when I dont even change anything, making it a hassle for me to watch live TV because when you try to fix it, you get an error message and have to follow all these steps online and talk to a representative to get it solved. It's just annoying...has happened to me several times and I know im not the only one. Switching over to RU-vid TV

Who has the least fucking ads! I pay for no ads on hulu and watch shows YEARS old series snd get 2min fkn ads every 5 or 10 min!

If you have a 4K UHD tv, though RU-vidTV is better because it has better video and audio quality.

I don’t see why anyone would pay that much when just about everything is available for free or part of a cheap subscription

I can’t do with no channel numbers, last channel, having to scroll guide to change channel. Not cutting cord until that’s figured out.

I dislike my youtubeTV! When I'm out of town I can't watch b/c of a playback error even AFTER updating the location and after spending over 45 minutes of the phone with customer NOservice! I'm going to cancel and change to HULU.

Hearing you say the RU-vid TV UX is better than HULU makes me sad. The RU-vid interface is not great. The cable cutting world still leaves something to be desired huh.

Need to update that guy HULU TV is now $101 RU-vid TV is still $72 the same and RU-vid TV one price taxes are included HULU taxes are not included that's why it's $101 although HULU TV customer service was better also HULU does not have free trial you pay and that's it thanks so good video
