YouTuber Ruby Franke sentenced in child abuse case 

With so many children being abused, PLEASE give off a signal and send her to prison for a looooong time! This is a CRIME. It must be taken seriously.

As it’s often said, every kid deserves a parent but not every parent deserves a kid.

Isn't it a little early for this woman to be asking forgiveness from the children that she systematically tortured for years?

She wasn’t manipulated. 🙄 These urges were already in her, she just needed someone to validate them. No parent lets somebody convince them to torture their own children, unless they already want to torture their children.

She might receive torturous treatment in prison and yet I dont think it can be half as bad as what she did to her kids.

As a former severely abused child, it will take an extremely long time for those poor children to be trusting again. And her saying she's sorry that doesn't make up for the fact that for what she did to them! She and her business partner had gotten exactly what they deserved! As I've said for years, Parenting is the Last Bastion of Freedom. What happens when you need to get a certification or license to become a parent? In everything else in life, you have to get credentials or certification, license, to do anything (drive a car, get a job) but anyone can become a parent with no requirements. Nobody monitors the billions of parents on this planet until something gets reported.

I don't understand. 4-40 years? That's a very very vague sentence. She could be out in 4 years?

And her husband, who was definitely at least emotionally torturing his kids on camera for years, not only walks away scot-free, but told the courts to throw the book at HIS WIFE! They didn't give him his kids back because they knew he was at least an enabler of this behavior. I'm happy she and Hildebrandt are going to jail for decades, but there's NO WAY the dad didn't know what was going on. He should be on trial as well.

Her husband needs to be charged as he was there and chose to do nothing. Now he wants to act like he wasn't aware. His silence makes him complicit.

Her methods may really work. They may patch the child's current behaviour problems. As a parent and grandparent, I know that abuse will NEVER shape a balanced, caring, thinking adult. That kind of adult grows around a confident, caring inner core. Loving, encouraging and supporting the child to succeed through the child's own thought and thoughtfulness is the primary parental responsibility.
