Just returned from PdC. It was absolutely wonderful. If you go looking for flowers and sunshine, you will see them in abundance. If you go looking for garbage, you will see that too. I stayed in airbnb, used parking garage, i was out late sometimes, too. Never once felt unsafe. Police and military are around, but really, its the people that also keep each other safe, by just being there. We all watch out for each other. The average guy on the street is not out to get you--he is probably a construction worker making money to take back to his family.
I find the "new hot spots" in Mexico are overhyped, overpriced and under deliver; especially on the infrastructure side. Look at Sayulita. The sewage is over flowing. They cant handle its growth. I prefer the old school hot spots like Cancun, Cabo and PV. At least they have the infrastructure to keep up with the tourists.
I live in PV and my Mexican friends and I are avoiding Sayulita right now as people are experiencing health issues because of the contaminated water issue
@theropemonster apparently you didn't watch his video .. he says the exact opposite and says places in the US are FAR MORE DANGEROUS. Maybe get your facts straight before calling someone out. 🤷♂️
Looked very dangerous, the bright sun, you could get sunburn, all those people walking around, you could run into someone. Biggest danger is spending too much money with all those stores and restaurants. I was in PDL a couple of months ago for about a week and a half. No issues
Loved the video and the suggestions!!! I’ll be following these for my future trip to this Gorgeous destination of Playa Del Carmen! ✨ I am watching from Bangalore, stay in touch
I have booked an Airbnb near Calle 34 nrte as read 5th Avenue is the best location to stay with kids and it’s near to it. Can you confirm if this is a safe area please? Love your videos they really show everything in such great detail 👌
Thanks so much for the kind words and feedback Nikki! Yes, that’s a fantastic area with plenty of family oriented restaurants, activities and there are even basketball, tennis courts and public track nearby at the stadium on 34th and 10th. I see a lot of families with kids in that area. I hope you guys have a wonderful trip and thanks for watching!
It’s a magical place for sure! I love the volleyball scene here and all the various beaches 🏝️😎🇲🇽. Thanks for checking out the video! Hope you make it back soon. Salud 🍻
4 weeks ago @Coolist uploaded a video titled “Cancun and Playa Del Carmen are SO Dangerous 👀”. It has 82k views so it’s definitely floating around out there.
@heartandsoul4520 I can’t deny that parts of it fall into those categories 🤣. That’s why I definitely prefer the Colosio neighborhood which I walked through in my last video..way more low key. Do you have other parts of Mexico that you prefer?
I agree everything is expensive in Playa avoid the big stores claiming they have great prices on the other hand no its not dangerous I seen police everywhere and I have walked at night no problem at all do be aware of your sorounding
In the U.S I’m scared to take my little nephews to school 😂😂😂 and going to take cash out of ATMs 😂😂😂 message of the day if you go to Mexico looking for dirt you’ll find it just like any other place
Facts!! I recently went back to Portland, OR for a quick visit and didn’t feel safe at all in certain areas. Glad to be back in MX! Thanks for checking out the video 😎🇲🇽🏝️
Who needs a Mac Donald's in PDC LOL... plenty of lovely foods there. Who needs a Mac Donald's at all, well I certainly don't :) Anywayz, lovely video, thank you!
