Thank you this is an important discovery, however I was thinking of a simpler answer to the question by referring to surat Ghafer (40-78): "We have sent other messengers before you- some We have mentioned to you and some We have not".
@@MarvelousQuran right i see, then your answer comes in as an issue of relevance in terms of geographic scope and language (and complexity) as you beautifully explained, indeed this is a great academic area of research in linguistics subfields.
@@MarvelousQuran hey , dul karnain was a prophet also not confined to Middle East only … also there is one logic in this , that if quran would have told Chinese prophets stories for example , then people of Mecca would have said that this book is not for us.. bcz they don’t know about all generation and cultures in very first time. But now even knowing the reality that quran founded it’s value in Arabia, but all societies are in need to that …. Also Arabia was in connection with roman Persian Indian parts by trades , not ruled by any emperor, so there is no such society like Arabs to found some new values than it ..
@@MarvelousQuran why They should mentioned it if They didn't want it? "He will not be questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned." Al-Anbiya: 23
@@MarvelousQuran Can you imagine the difficulty for people learning the Quran if it contained the stories of all 124000 prophets/messengers? Allah has made it easy for us to learn and understand the Quran. People bring in unnecessary complications.
Ironically, i was reading Surat Yousef today. I also read the English translation (even though i am a native arabic speaker) however, i find it hard to understand certain words and i found certain verses very difficult.. And words seemed awkward to read or understand in certain situations (this is my own shortcomings of course), even with fully knowing and understanding the story i still required the English translation. It does make sense when you pointed out that each messenger was sent to the people of his own dialect and that throughout the years this has changed. What a true revelation the Quran is, it is the word of Alah (swt). وان كنتم في ريب مما نزلنا على عبدنا فأتوا بسورة من مثله (صدق الله العظيم) - سوره البقره ايه ٢٣ This is beautiful! I admire academic research, especially, regarding the Quran. I wish to gain full understanding of what i read else I'd be reading mindlessly. Thank you, sir.
I put this comment so that everytime someone likes it I can be reminded of the mercy of Allahh (SWT) who allowed us to see this knowledge that has opened up the doors for us to the true understanding in the Qur’an. We are truly living in a blessed time and the Marvelous Qur’an channel is leading the way to understanding true monotheism through the Qur’an. For every person that reads this comment I urge you to let go of all the old baggage that you have inherited in your understanding - open up your mind to new possibility so that you can connect directly with Allahh (SWT) with no intermediaries, and you will see the wonders that this blessed book has to offer. Its time to stop giving due reverence to its outer shell and to allow the essence of the message to penetrate through the ranks of the believers - the true believers in one god. This channel is filled with oceans of knowledge and understanding that’s backed by evidence from the Qur’an. Journey through the Marvelous Quran channel which takes you on a journey through the Beautiful Qur’an and you will see how ignorant we were before this - oblivious of the message hidden within the blessed book.
I cant read arabic but in the english translation one of the things that struck me, was that i had never heard english spoken in such a manner, even in translation the language is singularly unique, as is to be expected from the ultimate author. I would therefore suppose that this phenomenon is even more prevalent in the original arabic. It certainly sounds that way when i listen to the Quran being Quraned.
There were some Native American Monotheistic tribes like the Lakota or Cree, they believed in what they call Wakan Tanka which can roughly translate to the divine, the great one, the creator. Some tribes were discovered to have prayed in prostration east. Maybe those people received prophets. I wish there was a more concrete connection. I wonder what if those religions lasted?
Those religions did last: It's called true monotheism (Islam). All messengers were honored by the Quran, even if not mentioned by name. All messengers were servants of God and wanted their people to submit to God. This is called Islam. And the Quran preserved their legacy by the mercy of Allahh. Regards
@@MarvelousQuran You are right, I was thinking if those tribes still existed at large like they once did, would their worship be pure or have gotten twisted over time like christians into something else. I wonder if many non-muslim religions today had a monotheistic origin, then changed over time by man.
Greetings I too believe every type of nations must have had a. Messenger , some one among them who preached and warned against evil ,from the time of Adam alaiyhisalaam coming down to to the last and final prophet Muhammed on wh be Peace .
Jazakallah for this. This is the first time I've seen this channel and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the videos. I find the language of the Quran fascinating so really appreciate you taking the time to explain it to us. Looking forward to more videos like this!
imagin only allah swt would know a 5000 year or so slice of history in such grate detail and now to see that it even more detailed than we ever dreamed it was mind blowing to me, tears flowed from my eyes when it hit me what u explained so beautifully, may allah reward you and your family greatly in this life and the next for all your hard work and sacrifice to help us to be better Muslims
Jazak Allah Kharain Brother ! I just stumbled onto this channel and very impressed with your explanation thru the guidance given to you by Almighty to help us understand our Holy Quran better !
from common belief I thought Confucius was a philosopher like Plato or Aristotle. but surprisingly Confucius was a religious preacher who spread teaching of one creator!!!
Thank you for enlightening. It's all about the happenings in the middle east and neighbouring countries at that time where languages and cultures were different from other parts of the wold.
It’s different, not even same there millions of Arabs that doesn’t understand what Allah is talking about, because Qur’an is unique and it has its own sense of reasoning if not to those to whom Allah has given knowledge of the book even if you are Arab or not you have to learn to understand finally Allah knows better why he didn’t mention them. »Just my point of view and love all the Ummah
@@rajeshdutt5251 but the Prophet (pbuh) wasn’t a wealthy man. Neither was Jesus (pbuh) or Moses (pbuh). There’s substantial evidence that proves that. So, nah bro. You’re comparing the expression of religion today to the expression of religion in past time. That doesn’t work.
@@mdesyeticamat2235 ....So all the mayhem in the name of religions is happening just to decide who has the best word to define the almighty. The funniest part is that people kill each other to protect almighty (just because they themselves don't have much faith that their so-called almighty can punish the wrong doers)
@@franklinneblett6319 There is a huge amount of substantial evidence according muslims that the so called prophet forced himself on a 9 years old child, owned several of his fellow humans as his properties including others who he made into his sex slaves(allowed in the Quran).
@@rajeshdutt5251 I don't think So. Muhammad isn't poet, he's trader. Event, he's not able to write and read. Even if he's lying I don't think Muhammad has capability to know such a thing that written in Quran like the expansion of the universe, bigbang, embriology, etc. And it also did not contain contradiction. And it has prediction for the future that accurate which is make impossible for human like Muhammad to write that thing.
Subhanallah. I love the term "vertical slice". I'd never really questioned the reason for the Quran to only elaborate on people of the same nation or region. After all, all the previous books or revelations were sent down in the same manner. However, now that I had heard this video, I am convinced that the title of this video is literally the same question playing in the minds of many non-Arab muslims or even more, non-muslims who vehemently argue about the effectiveness of the Quran as a book for all people of different nations and languages. It does make sense that the Quran stays within a "vertical slice" so that it's easier to explain and scrutinize the contents within a specific context and "locution". All this while, for an average-knowledged muslim joe like me, I had only marveled at the fact that every single letter of the quran remains in its place and order, which results in an amazing immunity against any attempt of corruption. However, now I see that the concept of this "vertical slice" is also something that deserved to be wondered about in order for us to see the effectiveness of the quran as a source of reference , applicable to all people living from the time of Muhammad s.a.w to akhirul zaman.
Its just linguistics which can evolve dramatically and almost instantaneously by any person who possess a deep knowledge as well as command over any language.
impressive. I always wondered about the universal values and merits the earth’s peoples share, just as truth: honesty, courage, being shepherds of lands, not to excess in anything. and there are many versus that proves this. we do not have their names because they already had the ornaments of their prophets; they just need to acknowledge the One, and not humiliate themselves to other deities created overtime and misunderstood symbolically.
Population back then were so limited. 2000 years ago we were 200 million people, worldwide. Most people lived in the Middle East back then, Chinese people and all nations got their prophets; Allah says: “وما من امة الا خلا فيها نذير" ورسلا لم نقصصهم عليك"
Alhamdulilah. This was the beginning for me. A Total game changer. Now I’m on the cause and consequences of the result, I.e what’s been learn from this beautiful page, sticks with my cores… qurrah!!!. Iidina siraatal mustaqeem.
12:02 if the caller is one of the brothers, then how would you related it with the next 2 ayahs? In which they ask, the caller what they have lost, and they say the kings measurer .. how would u relate it to these ayahs? You have used just 1 specific meaning of "lisan" over the whole structure... how can we do that?. Haven't you made 1 rule over everything?? We need to refer to the interpretation done by Prophet Mohammad first...
@Teacher Jibreel in the beginning he mentioned prophets he/she, there never was a female prophet as agreed upon by all the scholars. Its nothing to do with gender, its a role ordained
Masha Allah ❤️. This video popped up right when I was thinking about this for a whole week... Indeed there is lot to learn in the Qur'an and culture, languages, etc from other people on earth to understand how -'The teachings of monotheism' was revealed from the first man on earth (Adam) to many other prophets ... 👍🏽.Also how people dealt with that during their time... It's absolutely would be a big study for us 'humans'. We are still to discover more ✨✨✨. Above all thank you for this wonderful video 🌸🌹. Jazakallah khairan.
Thank you!!! May the Most High inspire you to more understandings that you can share with us. This video is refreshingly illuminating. I appreciate you!!! :)
SubhanAllah, this is amazing information! May Allah bless you for your efforts to understand deeper insights in to the Quran, and for your dawha to help teach others.
From where I can get this of "al moojiza" I didn't find the link of this to purchase in English please as soon as possible .. I will definitely wanted to read this book.
God mentioned only the worst of the worst and the best of the best in the Qur'an. The book is send down as reminder, and whats best to leaen from example of those of the worst and the best?
Aren't we blessed with our brain to learn languages of other people.i am happy to speak 7 languages, and English is not my language. I pray on Arabic. I am happy to be what I am and thankful for all what I have and especially what I don't.
@@MarvelousQuran , so my question is why would God or Allah communicate his messages in this specific language only ? Why not in Hindi , English , Urdu , Persian , Slavic-Russian , Chinese etc language ?
I appricoate your effort and knowledge but i want to remember you that the the qoran has told us clearly that many other prophets existed which their stories are not told in the qoran and that prophetMohamed peace be upon him was the last messnger
Salam Dr. Hany, in verse 14:4, wama arsalna, does arsalna mean delivery? "Never have we sent (in this Quran)" could it be "Never have we delivered (in this Quran) about.. Since the word sent is used as for the purpose of means of delivery for messages. Arabic is not my mother tongue, however, arsalna gives me the feel of "to bring about" Just a thought.
It is obvious that all nations in the world have had their own prophets, because it is stated in the Quran that Allah does not punish a people without first sending a massenger to them, meaning that all people who ever lived in the world had received the word of God/Allah. The focus on Middle Eastern prophets in the Quran is not actually a big deal because it was important that the message Mohamed (s.a.w.) was conveying to the desert Arabs of 7 century was given in a way that made those Arabs understand the message both historically and culturally. The message would then be carried by those same Arabs to the rest of the world, which is exactly what happened. P.S. I am non-Arab Muslim
I am British, if I was to hear or read something spoken from here, even from 500 years ago, it would mostly be unintelligible, as you say, we now have the Educational resources, to do much better translations, this can only be a good thing, we cant know many of the Prophets across many Cultures, we do not know even who many of these Cultures were, but they were all Gods people and part of his plan, if you believe in God then you would know he would not abandon them.
Very insightful, thank you! A small remark: to claim that we have to reinterpret the whole Quran after 14 centuries would seem unacceptable in Islamic terms.. But it is valid to say that this could open a new perspective on the Exegese of the Quran and enrich the already existing understanding of the Quran.. May Allah guide us to the truth and to a better understanding of his words.
as-salāmu ʿalaykum Bismillah Pardon if im wrong or my comment lack knowledge. There was/is/will be billions of people for whom the Quran have the answers to their problems. Also these billions people have millions, if not, thousands or like so ways of their own individual thinking style which may not match to each other. As well as one's Interpretation largely depends on his life experience. However there is something which we all perceive with the same exact meaning. Its language/words, it dont require one to think unlike Interpretation. For example- "Apple". As long as we read about apple/saw/ate it, we know its a fruit. Translation may lack in some area's while some area's may flourish. Its the difference between language. Again which is cool cause the message is going to people where people are of different culture and are of perhaps more appropriate for them, again it add the vastness of the Knowledge of Al Quran. Allah knows the best, i may be wrong perhaps right. What i mean is Quran have 1 literal meaning for All humans. There is answers and information about many known and unknown things for for the thinkers. Allah knows the best, there might be some hidden Knowledge which will require more than just critical thinking to unlock. And so on. And one last thing- If you are Right you get marks, else 0 along with some scolding may be! Again trying to answer a question is already of worth receiving points. Nvm, Allah is the best in(Allah's) knowledge. May Allah grant us all Janna and the opportunity to unveil all the knowledge of this universe and hereafter. Enjoyed the video. Learnt something new :)
@@complexitytr9098 Jazakum Allahu khairan! Since the time of the prophet pbuh muslims have always tried to grasp the meaning of the quran and tried to implement it to their sincumstances and times. What is astonishing about the quran is that every generation seemed to find new meanings in it, which helped them tackle the challenges of their times. The nature of the quran seems, to me, as a book filled of layers upon layer of meaning and everyone who approaches the quran with an open heart will find some answers to his questions. I'm not shure if there is only one fixed literal meaning of the quran. The arabic language, and especially the quranic language, would seem to me way too complex to reduce it to one single meaning (without taking the different qira'at into account). The quranic exegetes tried to approach the meaning from different angles like language, reasons of revelation (context), quranic sturcture, etc. and created by that a whole discipline, which is "ilm al-tafseer / ulum al-quran" (the science of quranic exegese). My point in my initial comment was simply that the long tradition of quranic interpretation in its entirety is critical, robust, valuable, and reliable and it is not conceivable to say, at least for me, that we should replace it with a new interpetation after one and a half millenium of scholarly work. Like I said before, in my opinion, every new generation explores the quran from a different perspective, and find new layers of meanings in the glorious quran. These add up to a consistent building of meanings and do not challenge the meanings and interpretations of the first generstions. But I'm no scholar myself, so please take my words with a grain of salt :)
@@akirataimatsu8741 Very true, Brother. In one Sufi book, I read that each alphabet of the Holy Quran has 12000 meanings and interpretations. Only Allah knows best.
Amazing Video, There aren't many who go this deep as you did. Thank you so much for this content. I have a few other questions on the Quran and would appreciate it if you would consider making videos on them. 1. "Al kitab wal hikma" (3:164), a phrase used frequently in the Quran. What does each word here mean? why is it singular "Kitab" and not plural "kutub"? And why is the Hikma not part of the Kitab, why did he not say "Hikmat ul-kitab"? 2. "latajidan ashad alnass 'adawa lil lathina aminoo alyahood" (5:82). What is the purpose of this verse? What was its interpretation in the Muslim empires when the jews and Muslims lived peacefully and the jews weren't the enemies of Muslims. 3. How can we apply the verses that speak to the prophet or about the prophet (PBUH) specifically today? Like in surat al- hujjurat (49) where it speaks of how we're meant to deal with the prophet (PBUH). As a person who does not live with him (PBUH) how can I benefit from these verses? Thank you so much for your excellent effort.
Thank you for your comments. We will keep these issues on the list that we're working on for future segments. Meanwhile, if you have questions, please contact us at marvelousquran@gmail.com. Plz spread the word... Regards
A wise man said 114 year’s ago the pre Islamic people have different understanding of the Quran than us living in this generation due to the different dialects.
Quran has mentioned name of only 25 phophets, but also says on eartg more or less 1.24 lakh prophet has revealed on each part or each religion on this globe. No. One on day judgement can say we hv no message about God.
@yogesh karli a man who could not read nor write(he could arguably have been able to read simple words related to trade and market, but he didn't study literature, nor was he literate)
I finished my late shift came in my accommodation to take meal before I go to bed while searching for some thing this section popped. There are some many Islamic institutes in the world. Dr Hany has done so many discoveries in Quran yet none of these institutes have taken any notice. Are those people who are heads or administrators actually believers in Allah ? I don’t know
Well said , sir I have a question In order to understand divine message that was supposedly revealed to the whole world and not 7 century Quraish only, it's mandatory to learn Jargon of a specific region's language in specific time in the past? Not to mention Even Uthman too had trouble compiling the book in the first place.
We learn the "jargon" (as you called it) from the Quranic stories. Watch several videos, especially the later series after Ramadan 2021, and you will discover a treasure trove of techniques to discover from the Quran itself, insha Allahh
This is really an impressive finding, and this unique analysis would help people to understand the miracles in the Quran, and proves that Muhammadh (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his pure family) is the final messenger of Allah.
