I've watched this video more times than I can count, but for some reason when I watched it today, "J*ck Off the Fat Man" made me giggle uncontrollably for the rest of the day. First there's the pun on the actual title. But then, the notion of there actually being a show by this name (a game show, maybe?). And then the idea that this show is SO POPULAR that it keeps getting renewed for more seasons. I'm dead, I've been giggled to death.
The British Red Dwarf was a damn good show with very memorable characters. The Americans made an unaired pilot that was not picked up for later production. That actually was a good thing. The British show was a cult hit and aired on PBS channels in the 90's. It had a charm that the American version would never have had.
Ever seen the pilot for the American version of The IT Crowd? Same plot as the British pilot, except Roy was mean instead of inept, and Denholm Reynholm was just pretending to be stupid. It's like they tried to copy the original but make it less likable.
Same here. I always enjoy seeing Ryan Stiles, (or Styan Ryiles in Ex-Lax: 2194),even if it's only in ytp-form. Because he's always been funny. From the Drew Carey Show, to Whose Line Is It Anyways? Always been a fan.

Oh man, an American version of Red Dwarf would have been terrible They tried to do that with the IT Crowd too, and it was baaaad. They tried it with The Inbetweeners too, and it was even worse! For that matter, I'm kind of amazed The Office succeeded
In Red Guy, regular dwarf craig bierko has been sleeping in space for just over 3 years, with some kind of hot looking lady in a television who acts like glados and is basically a cynical character who wants to help Red Guy gag the galaxy because his Red Dwarf was too long.
