The only thought that crossed my mind at that moment was "Huh, there's never actually BEEN a 'Batman 2' as an actual title in any Batman media, has there?" The closest example to that I could think of would be "LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes", otherwise :P.
I want to appreciate that the captions are never just an afterthought on your videos and usually enhance the jokes significantly in just how well they're phrased. The kid very indecisive at first about his screaming put a really dumb grin on my face because of that.
@@C.I... "Didn't mean to insult"? You're not as smart as you think you are. It's trivially easy to look at the other comments you've left and see the transphobia you've been spouting. I do still hope you find it within yourself to grow out of this, but for now, your dogged obsession with pestering trans people has officially surpassed my patience. Shut up.
That Blues Clues joke was very well done. I will also say I liked the mashup at the end as well. Gotta love the 90’s nostalgia compilations let me tell ya.
@@Kefkadet thanks EDIT: I found it! It was that Pete and Pete thing. I looked it up and saw something else and it mentioned "Schwinn rider" and I KNEW that was the "swooce"!
3:02 the thing I love about the ‘LOOK IT’S THE FLOWER GIRL’ part is she’s spinning so fast that you can only see her shaking if the video is on 60 FPS mode
I love the James Bond Jr. one because of the implication that a show markets itself by explicitly telling you you're wrong for wanting to watch it and hammering in how much the main character sucks.
the best part was the Lassie commercial "Girl...What?" that's all that it needed to say since everyone knows that commercial so well. lol. some of those commercials were so wacky that they hardly needed to be edited to fit in the video, the 90s was weird
@nomad_borealI got the SNES bundle of games on my Switch and the frickin controls for Star Fox are so terrible 😂. I crashed so much. But that song from the first level is glorious. Should mention my family had the game back in the 90's but now that I have experienced flying games with better handling, it's hard to return back to the finicky buttons of the 90's.
Before the 90s, it was physically impossible to get lost in New York. Despite the efforts of 1981 movie Escape from New York, it quickly became popular after 1992 movie "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York".
0:10 It's funny because Kevin Conroy actually did come out years later in the 2010's. And now I remember that Kevin Conroy is no longer with us, which causes me to be sad...
"The game with the fucking phone!" The absolute look of confusion on the dude's face after 'no wEEw' gag sent my sides into orbit. Ellie, I'll never get enough of mangling advertising and old corporate training videos. Between you, cs188, and noisepuppet, I'm in heaven over here!
YTP... The trick, *_that is also_* the treat!! I'll take this opportunity to once again pitch these 90s shows: _Salute Your Shorts_ (Nickelodeon) and _The Red Green Show_ (Canadian TV; PBS in the US)
@@ninjabluefyre3815 My thoughts exactly. An almost endless supply of content, too, which is so broadcast (albeit reruns), so obtaining it wouldn't even be tough! (I'm sure most of it is on YT already heh)
This is such a masterpiece, maybe it’s the nostalgia for commercials I vividly remember from my youth but everything in this makes me laugh. Even little stuff like the split-second Berry Berry Kix ad and “helloha” crack me up.
@@Introbulus I grew up mostly in the early 2010's and I enjoy watching commercials/infomercials from my time too. 90's as well, I've always had a kind of second-hand fascination with the media from that decade(a kind of "born in the wrong generation" situation, if you're aware of that whole thing).
There's a link in the description to the channel with these videos, and the specific videos are listed in the credits near the end. I believe this part is an ad for Adventures of Pete and Pete
Being as I was in my 30s during the 1990s, I wasn't a fan of children's TV during that decade. But this video makes that era of television bearable. Thanks for the consistently funny work, DaThings!
3:17 You know, given the nature of this board game, I'm not sure how to feel about ypur inability to work in _"YOU GOT THE DUD!"_ I also remember seeing every single one of these commercials growing up. God, I feel old...
Throughout the whole video: This is excellent, I love and laugh at it! The outro hits: *I MUST HAVE THIS MASTERPIECE!* Seriously though, awesome editing!
