Taiwan has the greatest fanbase! I used to watch CPBL games online while the MLB was shut down during the pandemic. I love the cheerleaders, I love the mascots, the MC's, the chants! I want to go see a game in-person so bad! I have so much respect for their league. 🫡

A few teams do have cheerleaders and crazy crowds. Some of the east coast teams go nuts especially in big games. Dodgers stadium always packs 50k+ fans for every home game. Houston has some iconic cheer leaders.

I love Czechia: awesome bunch, homegrown, their story, earning their qualification, and actually being competitive (never got mercy ruled or twice unlike China). However, the fact that they stay while Taiwan who won 2 games in Group A has to get relegated tells you what is wrong with the tournament.

It's weird that Czech and China was in the same group and Taiwan was in a tough group with Italy, Nederland and Cuba. This make Taiwan have to requalify with two wins but Czech don't with only one win. That's not fair.

@@AaronW222 exactly. Feel like if the 2 qualifying teams switched groups it would balance the pools out. Czechia in A and Panama in B. China flat out didn’t belong in this tournament and should’ve earned qualification lmao. They’re by far the lowest ranked country by WBSC among the 16 that got automatic invitation. An insult to baseball that they got to share the field with the likes of Ohtani, Yoshida, Nootbar, Lee Jung Hoo, Kim Ha Seong, Edman, etc.

The schedule draw of the WBC is very strange. The strength of Group A is almost the same. The strength of Group B is far behind and other problems. Even if Taiwan has the same record as other teams, it will have to restart from the qualifying round in 2026 due to the problem of the loss rate (Taiwan’s scoring rate is . Yu Chang is the hero of Taiwan in this 2023 WBC. He has done it again and again. He bring the hope to next round for every Taiwanese baseball player and fans. In spite of team Taiwan couldn’t go to Tokyo, but his performance is worthy of the major league contract that the Red Sox gave him. We expect his great experience and performance can let him has the successful MLB career until forever.

Despite not being able to advance to the next round, at least Yu Chang and the rest of Team Taiwan gave us an incredible 4 games that could be rewatched over and over for the next few decades.
