Frankly hated it that I can't even joke about it. It's painfully convoluted that you gotta put up with ridiculous drop rates and overly specific drop conditions if you want certain things from certain people, often that you rarely if _ever_ see them use so you don't even know what you can _actually_ get from them without looking up a guide.
@@MrMarket1987 Meadow Mage was the best for drops. But without knowing that you could farm for hours and get nothing. Especually as seeing thete was nothingbspecial about him at all in game, he was actually really easy to beat.
@@neotono5536 Meadow Mage was sort of the opposite problem in a way. It's almost like they went out of their way to give them all the good stuff. I do honestly love Forbidden memories, but it's terribly unbalanced. :V
@@MrMarket1987 and all that without also considering the joke prices of the cards in the store, I bet no one legitly bought one of the good cards that way, imagine grinding 2000 victories (counting on you actually getting 5 stars each time) for one card, just sheer ridiculousness.
Having 2 landscape advantages as opposed to one as well as having more than average amounts of spells to equip to and to top it all off, it’s got immunity to Dragon Capture Jar.
You misplayed. Your supposed to secure the duel by attacking Heishin directly with Air Marmot of Nefariousness. That would have banished Heishin to the Shadow Realm and got you the secret ending.
@@thisbambibitesit’s true. I attacked Heishin with Air Marmot of Nefariousness and it triggered a cutscene where you see him being sent to the shadow realm and eventually it just sends you to the credits. But when you reload, you just start from your last save, so it’s pretty much just a bonus gag ending. No idea why the developers put it into the game lol, but it’s pretty funny

No other Yu-Gi-Oh game can match the Forbidden memories.. old days Playstation 1 game 😁. The loop continues untill we get defeated 😅 I have tried myself.
It pains me that there was no alternate win condition to this tough fight. Like at least a cutscene that makes Nitemare's power manifest somehow through Heishin that forces Simon Muran to save you from it, to give you _some_ semblance of foreboding events and at least imply you're dealing with powers you're not _quite_ ready to take on yet. Especially when THIS Heishin and the one at the very end of the game are NOT quite the same opponent with the same rewards or cards.
I just think an alternative ending would have suffixed here. Like there is no chance someone would have beaten this first time. So adding a new ending would be a reward for whoever decided to keep on playing
@@lordnoodle2146 I want to agree with you, but the implications of the scene is that Heishin is leading a coup, meaning he's got more than himself throwing his weight and power around faster than the Pharaoh can keep up with. Granted, even narrative where they push back and quell the coup before it gets way worse would have been nice.
@@MrMarket1987 I agree that isn't very realistic to assuming beating him would end the coup but if you really think about it. The conspirators you see at the start of the game are just the mages you beat in the end game. Assuming they don't get weaker with time it stands to reason that the Pharaoh can take them all down like he does in the future. Mind I wouldn't say no to a dark alternative ending where seto tricks you into Summoning Nitemare

You can technically beat heishin with a starting deck if you start off with umi, twin headed, a twin headed equip card. then get a hand of umi, twin headed fusion and equip. first turn play umi (take a hit), next turn fuse your twin headed and put the equip on it and then you pretty much just keep attacking every monster he plays and if he plays a trap card play a monster to attack to take the trap card, until you win the duel by either attacking directly or killing his monsters until he runs out of life points. Also this is basically a chance but it's pretty much the best way to win without having to farm heaps of star chips or spam one specific guy until you win. it may take a bit of restarting for a deck (or if you know how to deck manip it'll take no time).
Just bring tainted wisdom+ancient brain, and you get skull knight ... If you dont have, you can fuse embriyoic beast+time wizard/any fiend + job change mirror to get summoned skull .. and some equip ...
Kudos for this victory, only a few chosen ones had accomplish that As for Mr.cheater: Not only he has a busted deck by that point of the game (Later on it's even worst...) but if he's defeated, then try again, cause he has unlimited credits to challenge you back; and did I mention his pathetic rewards? I liked the very first yugioh where it was just a contest of attack points, than the modern one where there are like 4 different special summoning methods ,pendolum and weirder stuff(I didnt watch vrains ) back then a non-effect monster with high atck was invincible
I remember how disappointed I was when I managed to beat him as a kid an he just challenges you again, this is the hardest fight in the game you stand almost no chance and all you get is a rematch
Yeah, the translations for this game didn't make equip cards particularly obvious on what it could actually work on more often than not. Lots of trial and error. I think only Megamorph and Bright Castle will work on ALL monsters without fail.
Muah ha ha. Looks like a card match between mere children. Me: pulls out a meteor B dragon and combines it with 3 mega morphs and a dragon treasure on the first turn, “feast your eyes”. My opponent: I see your meteor B dragon has 7,000 attack points on the first turn. Let me just leave my monsters in attack position, so you can wipe my life points quickly lmao.
the common rule to summon is the stars. 4 stars below normal summon, 5 stars need 1 sacrifice from the summoned on the table, and 6 stars above need 2 from the table. And other special summoning way are way complicated I can't even explain it here lol
On real ps2/ps1 yeah it's hard to defeat but in ps1 emulator it's easy because you have the save option in your menu so you can save the game whenever you want
@@akram.souri.908 On most ps1 emulators you cant save in the middle of the game, it messes with your save files causing it to say that there is no existing save file, you have to save ingame (card shop or something like that)

Muy bueno. Yo use 2 memory cards... Use la opción de new game y busque cartas de Equip para el Twin headed Dragon. Luego use Trade para empezar una partida con cartas fuertes
I remember that old card cloning trick but I used 3 memory cards where I had the main card then clone the data to a second card where I move the clone cards to the third memory card then the move the clone cards to the main memory card because using 2 memory cards with the same data name will not accept them without a third memory card with a different data file.
@@freestyleduro8832 I didn't have friends who lived close by to to do that but we did get a shitload of memory cards from Kmart because they were dirt cheap at the time. But the funny thing is I was the one who came with that idea because I do remember getting certain cards was difficult without spending too much time so the idea just popped in my mind.
a bit late but fusions usually are based on the monster types. beast + fire makes flame cerberus; dragon + thunder makes thunderdragon (if each off them has lower stats than thunder dragon) if you add another thunder or dragon it makes Twin headed thunder dragon etc.. Some cards have some sort off hidden types like Zombie Dragon which is a zombie but also counts as a dragon or any female looking or sounding card has the hidden type female which are great for fusions (Nekogal, mystical sand, or queen off autum leaves are the prefered fusions with females but there are many more like Dark witch). Some types fuse better than others. There are some specific fusions like you saw in this video with summoned skull those need two specific monsters. Meteor dragon and Red eyes make Meteor b Dragon for example. The symbols are the so called guardian stars. Each star has a specific star it's good against and a specific star it's bad against all the other stars are neutral. Fighting a monster with the correct guardian star boosts your monster by 500 atk and def. It's based on our solar systems planets minus earth (and for the smart guys: + our sun which isn't a planet it's a star... I know) + Pluto which was still a considered a planet back when this game came out. For example sun is good against moon but bad aginst mercury.
Playing this game right now and I'll use this strategy to wreck heishin. I was very lucky with kunai with chain and axe of despair drop. Job-change mirror took some farming, now I'm low ranking seto to get beast fangs for some extra spice. Summoned skull for the win.
