samuele ricca Goats wasn't a tier zero format you literally hear the guy mention like 3 other decks he had to worry about lol and if you played in goat format (witch i think you didn't) you'd know there were many different competitive builds. Not just on deck that shat on everything like Nekroz now, dragon rulers during their format, and tele dad.
ZShenlong1 i did not play it, but from the outside it seems a really bad format with broken cards at 1 ( delinquent, greed, charity...) and the format nowdays its shit, i agree
samuele ricca greed and charity are nothing to the net advantage cards give in today's format, which is why I mentioned power creep. During the goat control format, being able to go plus and gain advantage often took great skill, not a built-in arch-type combo that konami gives the game.
I can actually give even more explanations for my card choices. the most important reason for spell shield was that NOC can set you back so much because it keeps your monsters out of the grave. The deck also has a bit harder of a time with scapegoat than standard goat, that's another reason why the exarion is in there. Exarion and Tsukuyomi also allow you to bait NOC, which is REALLY good against chaos. Another reason Dekoichi was really good is because if they NOC it, thats already 2800 off of Return. Even if it gets run over, you just set up your grave and dig deeper into your deck. The reason for only 1 Raigeki Break is that more discard cards were just cloggy. Another reason for it over PWWB is that you can actually destroy your own cards, which does come up sometimes. Book of Moon was the most sided in card, because of it being an out for Jinzo and Kycoo. Ceasefire is also really good against the Time Lock deck because they cycle Solemn Judgment often and if you can bait it a few times you can burn them for game or just stop Mask of Darkness with it. The deck is 41 because there was nothing that i wanted to take out. The Tsukuyomi and Exarion were the last additions. The Tsukuyomi was in the side, which allowed me to have another slot free to side the 2nd Sakuretsu.
I can tell this guy had a max rarity standard goat deck and then decided to play this last minute because of everything being really pretty and 3 common sorc ;p
i would actually play common sorcs in the deck, but they have to be 1st ed. i like my goat deck to be original set 1st eds or anything cp, and kaiba pack foils. (and then some specific things like super sangan). so i wouldnt play ultra sorcs. (and i consider rare 1st ed tsuku cooler for goat, because the ulti is waaaaay late) :)
This is a good build for Chaos Turbo. Chaos control is the variation of Chaos turbo that implements Scapegoats and Meta in order to SS TER. Thats the control part. So this is Chaos Turbo.
I wonder if Tom ever felt like Prem and Call were bricks. Opening 2 Chaos monsters with Prem or Call would feel bad. I play a deck similar to his (no Exarions obviously), but Return is my only revival card.
Could you ask him how he got rid of the creases in his spellground? Since I myself have an original as well and was wondering how to do it with the originals.
ikkiiiieee i ironed it from the back. i just looked at the video on the khalsa brain games youtube channel where they explain how to do it and did what he did.
Thank you lithium2300 for the upload. In the future can you please record some games (the finals lol) from these goat tournaments when/if you can? Thanks
He couldn't be there at this tournament unfortunatly but me and some friends did this profile for him. So thats probably why there aren't games recorded :)
The finals as well as the top 4 match were featured as written matches on Team OCC's website though. outpostcardgamecrew.blogspot.be/2015/03/goat-control-tournament-feature-match_16.html
Main Deck: 41 cards Monsters: 21 1x Black Luster Soldier 3x Chaos Sorcerer 3x Thunder Dragon (for Graceful Charity, Card Destruction and Raigeki Break, and good food in the grave) 1x Exarion 1x Breaker The Magical Warrior 1x Tribe-Infection Virus 1x Tsukuyomi 1x Sangan 1x Sinister Serpent 1x Morphing Jar 1x Magical Merchant 2x Magician of Faith 2x Night Assailant (it works really good being discarded by Raigeki Break to get Magician of Faith back to hand) 2x Dekoichi Spells: 12 2x Nobleman of Crossout 1x Card Destruction 1x Graceful Charity 1x Pot of Greed 1x Delinquent Duo 1x Premature Burial 1x Snatch Steal 1x Heavy Storm 1x Mystical Space Typhoon 1x Scapegoat 1x Book of Moon Traps: 8 1x Torrential Tribute 1x Mirror Force 1x Ring of Destruction 1x Sakuretsu Armor 1x Call of the Haunted 1x Return from the DIfferent Dimension 1x Raigeki Break (he say it prefeer Raigeki Break instead of Phoenix Wing cuz Raigeki Break saves it a lot more than Phoenix Wing, Phoenix is better only when you are already winning the game, and Raigeki Break solves problems) 1x Spell Shield Side Deck: 15 1x Jinzo 1x Mobius 2x Zaborg 2x Kycoo 1x Book of Moon 2x Bottomless 2x Trap Dustshoot 2x Dust Tornado 1x Sakuretsu Armor 1x Ceasefire (for things like Mask of Restrict and other annoying flip effect monsters) Extra Deck: it really doenst mather there it is, hope i could help ^^'
@@Aoizeroku in the west the exarion tins legally released after cyber dragon, although some areas got exarion before they got to open cyber dragon packs due to a mix of distribution issues & pre release product sales, a person with cyber dragon could have physically gone to those places and played cyber dragons in their format when they were able to play exarion legally, so even though the experience of TCG GOAT with exarion existed for many it takes very special rulesets to run exarion goat in the way historic formats are ran now
DMOC is staple in a different deck in this format that's all about the otk with a heavy spell lineup. They both run Chaos Sorcerer, but apart from that, they're very different decks.
