I do enjoy the original song, the fang of critias. however I wanted to see how Millineum Battle would have added to the scene, and I enjoyed it. So I Decided to share it online and see how people would also respond to it.
I always thought this made the English dub of the scene quite good in its own right because it sounds like Yami has gone sadistic and is literally ENJOYING the massacre!
This is for Exodia! And this is for tearing that card and saying it’s Yugi! And this is for playing insect cards! And this is for BSing the rules of our last duel, only I’m allowed to do that! And this is for Poison Butterfly! And this is for slipping parasites into Joey’s deck! And this is for having such a slashable face!
You know, I don't feel bad that Weevil gets utterly destroyed by an unhinged Yami Yugi. Considering this is this little goblin is known to lie and cheat his way to the top and never learns his lesson, and the fact that he tricked Yami into thinking that he ripped the Seal of Orichalcos that contains Yugi's soul, well, needless to say I think it's safe to say he deserves what was coming towards him.
Listen, I know everyone says: "Justice for Exodia". Fine. But *The Truth* is: He's still mad at himself for playing the Seal of Orichalcos against Rafael & losing Yugi. Weevil tearing up the Gokibore and going: "Yugi's gone forever" was his fracture point. It's just venting for Weevil's "Joke"
@@JadenMoon1475 We know. I'm just saying he was probably looking for an excuse since Exodia, and both the guilt over his Orichalcos-enabled fuck-up and Weevil's little prank moved his timetable up by leaps and bounds.
Definitely better than Battle City. Sure Battle City introduced the rules the actual card game uses, but Waking the Dragons had actual character development.
Probably destroy his body, it they are technically using resurrected egyptian summoning magic (atleast that is what I have always thought to explain why people are getting hurt in a card game)
Would've been 9 attacks, if Téa didn't stop him. I made a comment somewhere on another vid of this, but Weevil had 3900 LP going into this turn. -100 for Infestation -100 for Armored Caterpillar's Destruction -1500 for Breaker's initial attack And THEN the madness that Berserker Soul enabled. If Téa didn't stop him... it would've been 9 attacks from Breaker (1500 x 9), and the earlier 200 from before... 13700 DMG in one turn.
It's not just the well-deserved bitch-slapping Weevil receives that makes this one of my favorite Yu-gi-oh scenes. I simply LOVE the Pharoah's trash talk during it: "Looks like you're out of luck." "This just isn't your day." "Let's see... Oh, well..." Classic.
Someone pointed out that just makes it darker than the Japanese because in that he's just lashing out in a rage But here it shows he's fully aware and revealing in his suffering
I wish the dub was a little better, but 4kids being 4kids. Yami in this duel was using his millenium item to decide what he was drawing. But yeah drawing 8 monsters without planning to would be horrible normally
I actually like the dub on this scene. Atem is straight up out for blood on weevil after baiting him with the fake yugi card and the years of torment he cause to him and his friends
Weevil's crimes thus far Cheating Stealing Sabotage Throwing Exodia off the deck Hijacking a train Risking the lives of Yugi and Tea Emotionally taunting the Pharaoh Yami drew and attacked weevil for each of these.
You know, Weevil sounds exactly like Meowth from Pokémon who is voiced by James Carter Cathcart in the later seasons because the way he talks and screams, you can definitely imagine hearing Meowth.
People forget this Back then The game is over when all the card effects resolve So yami Could have in theory keep going until cant get anymore monsters
It would've been more satisfying if Yami had drawn a spell or trap card at the end instead of the Dark Magician Girl. Would've shown that he had to officially stop overkilling Weevil or otherwise he'd be breaking the rules.
This remind me when Sakura have stop Sasuke for kill dosu the sound ninja in the Forest of death that part was really annoying .and pharaoh just getting started with him
As great as this dialogue is, hearing Dan green yell “durraw! Monsta cado!” Would be like a dream come true. Especially if dan green made it sound like he was just trolling weevil the way little kuriboh did in yugioh abridged episode 73.
He better be glad that wasnt me. There is no way in hell Tea would've stopped me. I'd have drawn every damn monster in my deck till there were none left in it.
So I did the math, If the LP counter went into the negatives Weevel would have been at -8300 by the time Tea stopped him. And had he not been stopped and thre DMG into the GY it would have been -9800... Talk about Brutal.
The pharaoh has no mercy without Yugi holding him back. It's cuz of Yugi he pulled his punches. Just imagine if he treated every duelist like how he did weevil
Now if only the pharoh had summoned Celtic Gaurdian & Mammoth Graveyard since both of those monsters had equally or lower of 1500 atk pts, that would be awesome & nostalgic.
