Aw, that's really sweet. It really goes to show that GX more than anything else had real heart, heart that was completely missed in the Dub. This series should always be loved for that.

The dub really mistreated his character. It wasn’t until I started watching subbed that his character sunk in for me and actually reminded me of a hate love relationship I had with one of my own teachers in high school
Omar Sadler Saiou has snucked in his mind control powers on Edo's deck before Edo could duel Judai agin. So when Judai loses, he joins the Society. However, Judai can resist Saiou's mind control powers so it instead made Judai blind when it comes to seeing cards.

That's the power of a balanced deck and proper strategy. However, luck and hope is also part of it. :) It's great when your opponent has a 5,000 atk monster and you have - an empty field - no cards in your hand - and a few lifepoints remaining - all that matters is your next draw. Pull off a combo you didn't know that still existed in your deck, and gain that impossible victory you had doubt you can have. :D

Story time: during a tournament we held in my school, during the finals between me an this other kid. My field and hand were empty with the other guy with a field full of Blue eyes beaters, my friend starts playing this song in his phone when my turn comes around. I drew desires then speedroid double-yoyo and red-eyed-dice. Normal summon double yoyo using its effect to summon daiko duke from the grave and tuning for clear wing. Then with daiko’s effect special summon red eyed dice and tune for crystal wing and attack for game. Best day ever.
I managed to pull something similar. I went against some guy with a Blue eyes deck which looked like he spent time and lots of money on. I was playing...Cyber Girls with Metaphys thrown in. I also had Fiend's Sanctuary, which he was surprised I played. I played a Metal fiend token in defense mode with Sanctuary. He attacked with Chaos MAX, dealt double piercing damage, and I reminded him that He takes all the damage I would've taken from that attack. He swung for 4000 with double piercing, which would've been game over for me, even with 8000 LP. I'll admit, even I was surprised.
Dork Blade As did I, but with the most non-meta deck possible. I was against a tournament-winning Synchro deck in 2012 (back when Synchros were actually good). My opponent had Quasar out and Level Eater in Defense Mode with full LP. I only have 800 LP and a facedown Morphing Jar. I top deck a Dark Hole, which my opponent negates with his Quasar. I then flip up Morphing Jar and get a new 5-card hand. From that hand, I summon Lancer Lindwurm (a monster with piercing) and equip him with Megamorph, doubling his ATK. I then use Riryoku on Quasar and equip Lindwurm with United We Stand giving him 7200 ATK. I then activate Monster Reborn to bring back my opponent’s Drill Warrior, causing United We Stand to give my Lindwurm 800 more ATK for a total of 8000. And since Level Eater has 0 DEF and Lancer Lindwurm has piercing, I was actually able to attack for game and get the W.

Love this track, I watched season 4 form start to finish I was in really bad spot on life, I came down with what thought was COVID and not doing well at , while I recovered I watch this season all 25 episodes and when I came back to work this song must have been playing head time after time in my head whenever I was a tight spot, I thought Judai usually pulls something out now where to win and I did the power of anime music folks
True enough, for me season 4 is absolutely amazing for people having a hard time transitioning in life. Seeing these guys all move forward was really sweet.

Fact: Sad Duel couldn’t even be used as Haō’s theme in Duel Links is just 😢. I understand it’s because of copyright reasons, but come on now 🤦🏼♀️. That theme is so fukin good and fits Haō. Man, y’all are just straight up disrespecting Haō sama like that
When I get close to losing most the time this song will pop into my head and I just think I need ether one of these cards and I end up drawing one (a hero lives or miracle fusion) and manage to do the sub zero acid combo

Ikr. GX has some of the best themes ever. This is one of them. As matter of fact, it sounds too damn good to be in a “children’s card game” anime. I picture it being in like Naruto or something cuz for some reason, I have a feeling that it would fit because of how good it actually sounds
boy i just played a local fun tournament and in the finals i managed to summon dreadmaster against a machina player. This song wouldn't stop reverberating in my head when it was summoned

During a match with a friend he used Dark Armed Dragon to wipe all of my field and reducing my life points to a mere 100. So he has a big beater and I only had Jinzo in my hand. My turn I draw Monster Reincarnation, I immediately used that to discard Jinzo for Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. Jinzo was DARK, I banished him with another LIGHT monster for BLS and double attack with him for game, my friend doesn't have any backrow.
Next I play Pot of Greed and draw 2 cards then I play the card I that just so happen to have in my Deck which I've never had until now which will allow me to win this Duel.
My field of Machine type monsters was wiped by a Monarch Deck, 5 monarchs were standing on his field, and I have one card left in my hand, a Cyber Dragon, for almost all my machine monster cards are all in the graveyard, it seems hope was dim, but keep fighting as long as i have lifepoints i can do it! The next draw phase i got what i just needed, Overload Fusion, Fusion summoned Chimeratech Overdragon with about 7-8K+ attack and attacked one of his monarchs(due to Chimeratech Overdragon Effect), wiping his lifepoints clean.
+Kolt461 Something similar happened to me in Nightmare Troubadour against Noah, he managed to destroy most my hand by using Deliquent Duo twice (with Magician of Faith's help) while he had Shinato on the field and at that point I only had one card in my hand (I don't know which, thought that would be come in handy later, but never got the chance to use it) that I set before he used Deliquent Duo for the second time. My chances of winning the duel were close to zero... until I topdecked Cyber Jar. Other example from the same game and I don't know how that happened was against Yami Marik and I got lucky no less than three times: Yami Marik got the first turn and set 3 cards (Mirror Force, Sakuretsu Armor and Ring of Destruction) and didn't summon a single monster. My opening hand had three Gilasaurus, no Egyptian God cards (in the Deck I had Obelisk) and I didn't have anything that could destroy Spell/Trap cards. In my turn I topdecked of all things... Heavy Storm. Then on my next turn (he didn't play anything at all, perhaps he had a brick hand or something) I topdecked Obelisk and finished him.

Yeah, as an E-hero player. Really the only thing I got back was 1 stratos, super Polly and solid not to mention the two link cards which still doesn’t help that much but at least it’s still somewhat fun to at the last second draw that miracle fusion and turn the tides
Man this played in my head during my yesterday MD match, which I was having big advantage both LP and field. I gave my opponent Thunder King kaiju and I rammed my (very intentional) 300 ATK Chaos Necromancer into it. He still didn't understand anything when I activated Inferno Tempest *and* D.D Dynamite. Impossible Victory indeed.
Hope you realize that DD Dynamite is but of scorched earth currently XD But yes, having this turn around victory is amazing. Had it against dryton, pulling 4 negates from the ultimateness and going for nibiru XD
Oh, I remember epic comeback I've done against Rhongo turbo with Dragon Link. On his first turn he summoned Rhongo with 5 materials. On my turn I set some cards and one monster. 3-rd turn: opponent clears my set monster but don't have enough damage to kill me, I am at ≈1300 LP. 4 turn: I've drew Quick Launch but Rhongo still has 4 materials. Set Quick Launch, one monster and activate field spell. In the End Phase, Rhongo lose material so I can summon again. 5 turn: He tries to kill me but I used Quick Launch in Battle Phase, summon Rocket Tracer, use his effect, pop field spell and summon another Rocket from deck. He can't kill me with his monsters on the field and I live. 6 turn: I've finally started my Dragon Link combo. Summoned Borrelsword and some other dude and after some turns killed him.
