Yu-Gi-Oh! How To Beat Unchained | Best Cards To Use & Things To Remember! 

Unchained is a fun deck to play and to face. One of the best Yugioh games I ever played is with unchained, i played a 60 card branded despia with dogmatika and shaddolls no floodgates or puppet. It was a hell of a game, lasting over 10 turns with both of us making plays after the other.

The thing is they don’t really lose to most the meta handtraps, which is part of what makes them good. D-shifter can hurt them since no GY recursion, but they don’t need it to output a board that can sometimes just stop you from doing anything (even a Soul of Rage can be enough, since it just gets into Yama). Droll and books also don’t do too much, unless they just don’t open much to start. D.D. Crow is weirdly good, since they target cards in the GY.

Dimensional shifter has been insane against unchained from my experience as an unchained player. Every card still triggers when destroyed, yes, but the fact that they get banished instead means the deck has no GY recursion which is one half of what the deck wants to do (aside from having their cards destroyed to make a board). Nibiru is also a pretty devastating one as the deck makes all of its plays just to end on a nibiru token so it has salamangreat syndrome in that respect. After we get nibiru'd, our only real play is setting abominable chamber and pray. In terms of Ash blossom, If you're going to ash this deck, ash the trap being blown up or whatever monster effect puts a second monster on their side of the field. That way, you put them on "better have the extender".

Imperm on tour guide is incredibly dangerous. If unchained has sharvara in hand they can chain to dodge imperm. I think it's better to keep it for the d/d/d. Never imperm rage, they'd just wait for you to commit to a play, use escape and bring back the rage

D.D.Crow should mainly be used on the blue Level 6 Dog imo

Phantazmay is ok too,it can fix your hand plus provide targeting protection.

alright I'm back with a list of cards that might actually see play soon to counter unchained while also being diverse to deal with other decks: Ultimate Slayer, Superpoly, Herald of the abyss, Triple tactics talent to take, a non fiend kaiju monster (if they are good they will make sure to have a sharvara in hand and giving them a fiend kaiju let's them pop it and summon it to make their escape still live), Sinful spoils of Subversion- snake-eye. for going first: ice dragon's prison, Zombie world (they can't make yama or use their Link 2 or 3 effects to add back or use the 2 new main deck unchained cards to destroy monsters they control since they specify fiends), Destructive daruma karma cannon, or Silent Graveyard.

This deck is the most powerful yet fair and strong deck we’ve seen and I’m glad people are having fun with it, honesty reminds me of branded

I find Dark Simorgh really nice against them since I can easily side it in my Ninja deck

Silent Graveyard, Abyss Dweller (in rank 4 deck), End of Anubis (lab can cheat it out or a rank 2 deck with mannequin cat) , Soul Drain will stop everything but traps, Skull Meister

Fenrir, TTT, PTT and ultimate slayer (mb the only blow out card vs unchained) are pretty good too :) Nice and usefull video btw :)

Also remember when using crow/bystials both the trap that revives and Yama doesnt target so if their GY is loaded they will just revive something else.

i am so happy with the deck. i started playing in the end of the past year and was the deck that stuck with me. all my friends said that it wasn't a strong one and wasn't worth spend money in it but i did anyway. bought the new support during pre-order i must've spent R$800 building it and now it's like more than double this price. i still lose a lot because im bad at yugioh tho, but i win far more! love the content

Nib is a counter to the deck you just have to choose the right time to nib. most of the time when they get both Shyama and Sharvara on board at the same time they've already used a lot of recources it's very unlikely they set up ceaser after you nib them and it's very rare they're able to summon them before the 5th summon. Evenly matched is also really good against the deck. Your deck does not need to be a bystial deck to run bystials. (bystial Druisworm gy effect literally outs their bodies with non destruction), Superpoly also outs their 2 most common end boards. Shyama can out any floodgates except Skill drain unless you also have sharvara in hand. lab has a few techs they can use to out them: compulse, Ice Dragon's prison (which other decks can also side), Terrors of the Overroot, Big welcome lab GY effect, Daruma cannon can out their links and stop their plays, if you're really desperate Ichiroku's Ledger book is also an option. Chaos angel can also banish 1 and possibly make your synchros unaffected by monster effects and indestructible by battle. also any card that's untargetable is kind of hard for unchained to deal with. they need to waste resources to go into Underworld Goddess to out them.

Kaiju, the winged dragon of ra sphere mode, lava golem combined with the gravedigger's trap hole is a good way also to somehow stop unchained.

Targeting and destruction protection is very good vs the deck.

Ghost belle are good, i actualy use belle alot in this format, my main reason is basicaly to protect my own graveyard.

Side 3x shadow mirrors

Ash the trap effect in grave and it will make them go negative. Nib them once you see 2 level 6's on their field before they make Caesar (if possible), if you do that, their turn will usually end. Evenly will also completely screw them since the cards are not destroyed and get banished face down.

maybe Skull Meister is a good tech to, preventing any activation on the grave. :V

about nibiru, i don't think using it in the fifth summon is good, wait the unchained spend a bit more resources but it has to be before ceasar, so when the second 6level dog hit the field i think it's a good time to nibiru. most of the time when i get nibirud on the fifth summon i keep playing and end with an ok board (if my opening hand was good enough)

Im pretty sure you can Nibiru right before they make Caeser.
