You absolutely stomped me with this deck round 1 in Vegas, this guide would've come in handy if it was released juuuust a little earlier:) My jaw actually dropped when I recognized you after clicking on this video. Thanks for being so friendly and encouraging me to get the top, needed the pep talk and it worked. New sub and I'll be following from here on out
The intro to the video is exactly my feelings 😂😂 I just got the deck before DUNE cuz it was my first deck back in 2021 and I liked that it got new support and now everyone at my locals wants me k!lled
Let me know your techs, something I also could have plugged in were Kaijus, they're somewhat relevant this format and are certainly a usable card vs. Unchained: Lemme know your guys' thoughts!
Another deck that has a great matchup unironically: Tearlaments. Yes the deck is no where as busted as it used to be, but everything you interact with will build you advantage. All the unchained cards affect you by destroying for the most part, which suddenly makes poppong your backrow, destroying monsters or cards that special summon and interacting with cards like reino, tear kash, kaleido, all has the potential to lose the unchained player the game
It's funny that a Dark Hole, destroying all the monsters on field isn't that bad versus Unchained, to force a reaction or allowing them to float. Phantazmay is a half decent handtrap against them as their Links do target.
Unchained feels like the weakest top tier deck we’ve seen in a long time. As soon as people realize how to counteract it, the deck will fall back for sure. I love the GK inscription, just finding a deck to play that it doesn’t hurt you just as much as it hurts your opponent. Excellent content, keep up the great work.
Thank fucking god you made this, every other video on how to beat this deck is so lacking, they just pick random staples and say they aren't very good lol
The funniest counter is Dark world. Not because they put up some anti-graveyard strategy well maybe if they use dark world puppetry. It’s mostly due to the fact that they can just combo unchained into the ground. If they get the ball rolling, there’s nothing you can really do outside of high king pop danger!. While yes, unchained can float The difference is they are once per turn meanwhile Dark world is not.
Dark World is the weirdest Deck imo. It can smash like any deck through multiple disruptions or u just shuffle your hand and scoop. But sadly its like the prime example of losing to droll
dark world destroys any deck that doesn't set up a floodgate turn 1 (assuming no brick obv), but dies to most floodgates including droll and dweller. Go for the gryphon lock turn 1 and hope they can't out it
that barely hurts them ngl, most of the time they end with only high ceasar on board, so not enough tributes, and if you do manage to tribute they usually have sharvara in hand to pop their backrow to then use yama to reborn rage. I would definitely use crow instead
I'm guessing Ash falls in the "good, but could be better" category? It just wasn't mentioned, it it might fall into that it's obviously good so I won't mention it territory.
Two questions. First, I guess we can figure out ourselves going second but, going first, which effect of inscription is the best against you? Second, what's the actual purpose of Abominable Soul? Because it was crucial when it came out, but I haven't seen it being used in any feature match I've watched.
It's extremely important, it's not the win con, but it is used primarily as an interruption going first to summon from deck, and it is your most important going second tool, a non-targeting pop is really good.
@@PhyYuGiOh now that I think about it, I haven't seen many so many duels and most of them were mirror matches, so that's likely why I didn't see it on the board ahahaha. What about inscription instead?
Great video, really insightful, I am currently struggle against floonderezee, if you can share any strategy to counter them with unchained will be awesome 🙏🏻
Floo mostly boardbreaking, Kaijus, etc. They are playing 3-6 Books and their advent so Imperm and Veiler are Like if they have it, they have it. Sometimes they lose to themselves by bricking. But its a tough match-up. The biggest Bird Empen is a nasty floodgate. And if u get shiftered its obv over. Going second against floo is mostly baiting their stuff and Not trying to normal with field spell on field
Dark Hole has more flexibility as it can clear your own board of annoying things that your opponent nicely gives to you like Knightmare Corruptor Iblee. But if you want to play Raigeki feel free
Most Boards end on a Water + DARK, there is a funny thing you can do in branded chimera where if you Normal Summon any of the Chimera/Illusions guys it opens you to immediately super poly with the board, but generically, doesn't exist.
If you set up correctly: You should have Soul of Rage on the field when you get nibbed. So you use your extender that you've held to play around Nib, yama summons back soul of rage, link Anguish and then use it and the Nib to make Muckraker, Muckraker summons back anguish, make knightmare Gryphon underneath: Co-Linked. So you typically get Chamber set with a Gryphon lock.
Personally, Deck Lockdown is a card that can be outed, it's a continuous spell, and pretty inflexible against certain decks. Not to say it's bad, but if you want a degenerate floodgate, I like Inscription better.
Well you can go ahead and laugh at me, but my main deck is Aliens with other reptile cards and Deck lock down is played in there because I can bounce with Golgar so I won't be affected on my turn. I mostly play on Master Duel, but the reason I play Aliens is because I like the under dog cards and I like their design and I'm always improving the deck as best as I can so asking you helps me with tech cards that I can always swap out if Deck Lock down isn't working. @@PhyYuGiOh
@@DigiEvoluido Mikanko is pretty much incapable of putting up a good board going first, so unchained can pretty easily just go second, break their non-existent board, and otk
@@gamakujira64e23 1- Mikankos go second game 1 2- us mikanko players expect you to make us go first, so we floodgate the other decks to hell 3- what can unchained realistically do against Mikanko? You can't target and can't destroy
Ty so much for this video. I think unchained is a cool deck but i dont think its as broken as other tier 1 decks and is easily outable with simple cards. I think this deck wont go very far especially if a banlist drops limiting pot of desires. Too many top tier decks rely on this card to fix how fragile they actually are. Kash being a prime example.
