Yu-Gi-Oh! Legendary Collection: 25th Anniversary Edition | Collector’s Set [Reveal Opening] 

I remember having like 3 sets of the Egyptian God cards along with everything else up to 5D. Now I don't even recognize Yu-Gi-Oh anymore things have changed a lot.

So this is what yugioh used to be like before all the crazy new summon mechanics were a thing

Love seeing the OG cards and it really does feel like a Time Capsule. Monster variants and effects have really come a long way - yeah probably not picking it up because most of those cards will just be lost in time simply because they aren’t good; other than the only cards not in the packs of course (the gods, the aces and the Mr 25th anniversary rare).

I love seeing the original cards in this box, including the anine Egyptian God cards

They are releasing 25th Anniversary versions of the first 5 packs, so if you buy a box or two, you'll be able to complete the sets.

Those packs are nostalgic for me because I have Yugioh GX Masters 2006 on Gameboy Advance. And I always loved opening those packs cause it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get. 😊

The only thing of interest seems to be the quarter century rares. Everything else is just bulk

Seeing that DM shiny card was like being one fish from SpongeBob and shout "MY EYES!!" because on how shiny it was.

I remember getting the original Legendary Collection from long ago. Yugi's Legendary Decks brought back to Egyptian God cards. Plus, if I were to get this, I either would like Blue-eyes or Red-Eyes. If I get Dark Magician, that's fine too. I'll make sure to get some sleeves for the 25th anniversary rare card if I can afford both of them. They look beautiful, reminds me of a Starlight Rare card, but SHINIER!!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

That new rarity looks really nice. I do wish that they took a spin on things and made the Egyptian god cards the playable effect versions and used the original artworks for Dark Magician, Blue Eyes, and Red Eyes. Maybe that's just me though.

Ah, the old Goat format from my college days. I would love to get a Ra in 25th shiny, but ideally the full set.

It's an amazing set to celebrate the 25th anniversary, but I hoped they add the gameboard mat again. A 25th anniversary edition of gameboard would looked awesome.

This is a step down from the last time the set released. It presented the cards in 3 slots and under the plastic holder was a hard foldable mat featuring the god cards

The QC rares look nice. I am hoping for QC rares of DDS/SDK art Blue-eyes and Dark Magician, the LOB Red-eyes and uncensored Dark Magician Girl. Fingers crossed.

legend of blue eyes is always going to be my top fave set

Its kinda tricky, the God Cards are going to look the most unique in the game in this kind of rarity, but they're binder-bound cards, so I'll be happy to see Blue Eyes ot Dark Magician in this rarity.

Definitely want Obelisk or Red-Eyes in the Quarter Century Rare

I think it goes without saying, but I already want the Red-Eyes in that Rarity, purely for collector's sake! That said, I slightly suspect that some of these might come in handy for Goat Format Deck building! I'm certainly going to pick one up, see what, if anything, I can use, you never know...

i like the new box being big rather than thin it makes storing decks alot easier

They left out the Labyrinth of Nightmare (LON) expansion and replaced it with Dark Crisis! FYI that expansion came out after Legacy of Darkness not before. Unfortunately not the og first 6 sets, why?!?!

I've not kept up with the physical card game in a long long time, but this hit all my nostalgia buttons and I really want those reprints of the Egyptian god cards (my original ones are pretty worn out on the corners. Those old plastic duel discs didn't allow for card protectors). And it's cheaper than I thought, so yep, I went ahead and preordered this.

These are not the first 6 sets. They missed out LON and LOD, which both came before DCR and IOC.

Since Invasion of Chaos is in this box, I’m really hoping for a new Ultra Rare Guardian Angel Joan. That’s my all time favorite card design. The symmetrical design is great, and how she is slap right in the middle, wings spread from corner tip to corner tip.

Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Executive Producer, and Mega Ultra Chicken

I hate to be that stickler but only four of those six packs were the first. Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Metal Raiders, Magic/Spell Ruler and Pharaoh's servant were the first four packs followed by Labyrinth of Nightmare, Legacy of Darkness, Pharaonic Guardian then Magician's Force came out following the first four before then releasing Dark Crisis and Invasion of Chaos, So basically Legendary Collection 1 and the 25 anniversary edition sold the first four packs then the 9th and 10th pack in the box, completely ignoring Labyrinth of Nightmare to Magician's Force.

My nephews have been getting into the card games, I have a ton of vanillas and old spells/traps I let them play with. If they get ripped or lost their cheap to replace.

They've used the modern card layout for the booster packs, thats a little bit interesting

I remember buying 1 invation of chaos pack and i pulled a levia dragon, my main deck was a grabity bind water and that was the only card i needed to finish it

Back in those pull rates were 0.01% .. you was literally god for having ultra rares lol

this seems fairly worth it i didn't watch the OG yugioh and grew up on gx and the rest so i can't fully appreciate the cards shown but i did like the egyptian gods

The euro version of this is an actual box whereas the NA version is thin cardboard! Cool to see the differences

Please tell me they dont feel flimsy like the new cards are! The old sets used to have such a thicker resilient film on them and I just dont wanna invest if they feel like they can melt in my hand after a few uses

I couldn't quite read the Witch printing but was the card printed with the current errata or is it the text from its original set? I'm curious if a PSCT Last Turn is actually possible if that is the case.

Are we able to play cards in tournaments that still use old summoning rules? At this points are these more of a collector set?

Kind of wished they used the og artworks for the ace monster still like those more than the more common artworks

This version’s IOC pack will have the post-errata CED though, so it’s not quite the same.

I feel so old!!! And funny enough, I remember seeing each and every one of these cards. I wouldn’t say I have photographic memory, but there wasn’t a I card I never saw before.

I got a previous edition that had a hard mat, might pick this up sometime tho because I only have Slifer of my 3 Eqyption God cards.

I love this. I really want to pull Relinquished and Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon I also think Ra will be the best Century rare since it will look like shining gold.

...Wow, really? This actually annoys me a lot. They didn't give PSCT to anything that didn't already have it. So while cards like Wall Shadow or Witch of the Black Forest that got it in previous products DO have modern text, they didn't take the opportunity to give any other cards updated text here, which is really dumb. (You can see from cards like Electric Snake or Chopman.)

Been looking at some videos of these 25th anniversary packs. Out of the 5-7 videos I've seen, you had the most unlucky booster packs. Thanks for the content and story videos. Nvm, the video o saw after this had 1 good, then 2 bad boxes.

I once had the original "Legendary Collection", until one of my Classmates annoyed me so long, until I gave it to him. I was... VERRY angry at myself afterwards. Since then I hated the "Duelist Revolution" Booster Pack and It's Cards, because it was the Booster released at that Time....

I still have my gold and silver og collectors edition binders on my gaming shelf

While I like the gesture it is meh that they also kept the old rarity system. The price for cards has inflated and if you consider that many of the old cards even Supers aren't even that good/playable it does feel like a rip off.

Crazy to think that with Purrely's coming up in the next meta, some people might even throw in Share the Pain as a tech
