Hamon controls lightning and he's based on The Winged Dragon Of Ra who's based on Ra who's the God/embodiment of the sun. Hamon. Sun. Lightning bolts. What a *bizarre* assortment of things
I'm hope Konami or whoever makes a gx version of dark side of dimensions that gives more back story to the sacred beasts and shadow charms and gives gx closure because season 4 in Japan just sorta end abruptly like season 3 English dub.
A GX movie would be great, imagine a 'Duel Academy Reunion' with main characters returning the island and a mysterious figure possessed by the power of a shadow charm wreaking card-game related havoc.
With Cerulean Sky Fire now existing, I'd love if it there was a part where Jaden tries to use super poly on a sacred beast to fusion summon malicious bane but the villain uses sky Fire to negate it. Sky Fires ability to negate spell speed 4 cards feels like a broken anime effect.
I kinda view the God Cards as the benign ones (in the lawfully divine aspect, not in an outright altruistic sense), the Wicked Gods being the malign ones (these dark shadows each being a bastardization of each of the God's effects- weakening monsters, gaining strength from the opponents side of the field only to destroy the entire field when it dies and gaining attack higher than the opposing player by mimicking its attack higher by a pitiful amount) and the Sacred Beasts being the middle ground (being inherently chaotic in a natural sense, not entirely good due to their draining of energy due to their mere presence, but not as inherently evil as the Wicked Gods because their effects are not as inherently evil- being the only target for defense, gaining 1000 for each continuous trap, summoning a monsters to potentially sacrifice rather than sacrificing one of the ones you've personally summoned). The draining of Monster energy through their presence in the anime is pretty much the only reason they were likely considered bad at all, aside from being used by the main villains after all.
It was actually shown in the anime that the beasts aren't evil. They have no will of their own like the gods or the evil gods, they simply bend to whoever uses them in a duel. They are true chaotic neutral
I always thought 15:11 was a reference to when in the yugioh movie , Pyramid of light , the three Egyptian gods combined together . Slifer wrapped around obelisk and absorbed ra
So this stuff HAPPEND in the past? My fortune lady’s can easily destroy them😉 Along with...my ace... *After 5000 years the doors to the Netherworld opens again!* *EARTHBOUND IMMORTAL ASLLA PISCU ARRIVES TO FEED ON YOU!!!*
I would give it to Obelisk. From what I gather it seems the Sacred Beasts are easier to summon but less powerful overall while the Egyptian God cards are a lot harder to actually get out but are much stronger as a trade off.
I personally think that the Sacred Beasts work very well with the D/D and D/D/D archetype since they mostly consists of Fiend monster and have both Continuous Spells and Traps making it perfect for the Sacred Beasts
The D/D/D archetype has far better options when it comes to using their cards. Instead of using 3 continuous spell cards to summon Hamon, whose effects are mediocre, you're better off using those 3 Dark Contract cards to activate Deus Machina's effect to negate AND absorb monsters that is only a once per chain.
@@lordpaulphilippfernandez9904 Yeah i think the only one that might get used is maybe hamon or uria? d/d/d doesnt have the easiest time getting rid of backrow only negating it sadly :C
What about the Aztecs ?! Ometecuhtli - The Two Lord ( Beast Warrior) Quetzalcoatl - The Feathered Serpent (Winged Beast ) Tezcatlipoca - The Smoking Mirror ( Fiend)
14:41- I wonder what the combination of the Wicked Gods would actually look like if the card for it actually existed? In any case, the combination of the Sacred Beasts appears to be mashing all of the monsters together in a very chaotic manner while the God Cards are implied to be reuniting in their original form of an elegant being of light and order.
For the wicked Gods, my first idea would be a serpent dragon, with a skeletal frame around itself, with the black orb at its center, and that black orb can expand and cover the body acting like manipulative flesh
It's also curious that their combined form is called the chaos phantom when all the 3 sacred beasts are called Lord of somenthing,in this case, the correct name for their fusion would be Lord of chaos...if well explored, they could even make a new card with this detail
Zorc Nechrophades seems to e fitting. The body is a buff skeletal monster like Dreadroot, his d*** is a dragon like Eraser, and he can summon solar eclipse, which is the shape of Avatar,
Since the ACTUAL Egyptian gods would be fantastic Yugioh cards, here's my submissions. Horus The Avenger: Level 8, 2500 ATK, 2000 DEF, Warrior/Effect, LIGHT, can't be normal summoned or set, can be special summoned from the hand by banishing two Warrior monsters from the field/GY, once per turn, this card can make a second attack by returning one banished card to the GY. Isis The Mystic: Level 8, 2800 ATK, 2100 DEF, Spellcaster/Effect, LIGHT, can't be normal Summoned/set, special Summoned by banishing two Spellcasters from the field/GY, once per turn, you can negate one attack by returning a banished card to the GY. Set The Renegade: Level 8, 3000 ATK, 2500 DEF, Fiend/Effect, DARK, can't be normal Summoned/set, special Summoned by banishing two Fiends from the field/GY, once per turn, you can destroy one monster on the field by returning one banished card to the GY.
Three gods? Sure let’s get all Greek up in here. Zeus, Hades (not that one) and Poseidon. Zeus would be a Thunder type monster, Hades a fiend type and Poseidon would be either a Aqua or Sea Serpent (leaning on Aqua). Love Greek myths and if Konami did it justice I would totally put it with my other favorites in a collection.
I was about to comment that... their effects could be based on special summoning tokens for Poseidon (kinda like "flooding" the field), Hades could be based on bringing back monsters from the graveyard and Zeus could be based on granting immunity to effects and/or battle to other monsters
@@luishenriquefalconifilho2124 I was thinking a better way to put their effects would be for poseidon he would flood both fields with tokens that cannot be used for tributing or special summoning unless you have poseidon in hand, Hades could be the slifer effect of getting more powerful with monsters (also having your special summoning effect which would lower his attack), and for zeus, I was thinking when he's summoned both players gain 8000 life, but he can attack directly with a 4000 body
Well the effects could be Zeus, destroying all monsters on the opponents field (smiting the opponents monsters) Poseidon, destroying all spells/traps on the field (flooding the spell/trap zones)Hades, banishing monsters from the opponents graveyard face down (not allowing life to be brought back) and if we're doing a armityle thing, Kronos can do something with freezing time somehow (I'm out of idea's)
@@TheDerrogative That's actually incorrect. Only stands such as Hermit purple, or ones from other hamon users, would act as manifestations of hamon energy.
@@dynomite9524 you're right. My bad. I always saw Hamon as an amplification of life energy but looking back i realize its more using breathing to amplify life energy to basically channel the sun(not 100 percent accurate Im just paraphrasing loosely) so I confused the two. Basically Hamon is its own thing that ALSO uses life energy(controlled by breathing) and Stands are a physical manifestation of life energy(so if you think of it like a branch theyre two paths with which you can use life energy). Please correct me if im wrong!
Um, you forgot something else Kagemaru said. He said that Jaden is the only person in the world with enough dueling spirit/energy to control the sacred beasts.
Now with the new support for The Gods and The Phantasm I want to created a mixed Deck of Amon-Ra, XD found they're combo kinda interesting and devastating if it's perfectly balanced
I think the sacred beast may could be the the three Egyptian gods when yami yugi left the world and gone to the after life and yami yugi take the three Egyptian gods with him I think the three Egyptian gods must have left there Dark forms or may be the three Egyptian gods must have battle the sacred beast and locked them up forever
The thing is, they were tablets before being cards, so they must have been ancient and not made recently. My *personal* theory is that they were attempts by the ancient egyptians to replicate the gods but failed and had to be sealed away. Kinda like an ancient version of the more modern wicked beasts.
I hope TGS keeps making videos. If i had the propper means he would be one of the few id support if i could through patron. one day I might be able to,and a few others on RU-vid. These videos are played on my everyday tv schedual lol.
Sin Eric thanks Sin, don’t feel like you need to support me anymore than you already are. If your watching the content and your enjoying it then you’ve done your part and I appreciate it very much :) I hope I can keep making video that you enjoy in the future!
@@TGSAnime you will always see me watching. :) I binge watch your series while i make my decks (profile videos and trivia videos) What better way to make a deck then to learn the best possible info on the card. Some say it's irrelevant, not to this dueslist.
I have made God Cards that start off as just awesome cards and progressively get even stronger. Koarr, Dragon God of Existence Darkstël, Dragon God of the Afterlife Aria, Dragon Goddess, Creator of Magic Each requires a spell card that acts as a ritual to summon them, also you must have the Field Spell "Realm of the Gods" or they are destroyed. Koarr gains power for all cards on the field, in the hand, or in the graveyard, all monsters on your field also become more powerful by his presence. Darkstël gains power for all cards in both Graveyards and can negate effects that have to do with the graveyard Aria gains power for all Spell cards used throughout the game and once per turn by discarding a card you may use the effect of a spell card in either graveyard Each also has a Devastating Spell card Ultimate In which you need this card to use its ultimate ability as well you must also have all three gods on the field. Aria, Magical Nexus Collapse Banish all Spell cards in your opponent's Deck and from both Graveyards. Your opponent takes 300 damage for each card Darkstël, Souls Devoured to the Afterlife destroy all Cards on both Fields and in Both hands Koarr, The True God Reawakens Koarr gains Infinite Atk and Def. Koarr cannot be effected by Card effects and cannot be destroyed in any way. Destroy Koarr after your 3rd Standby phase thus card is activated
Uria could also have been named after Uriah, one of King David’s best soldiers. While Uriah was away, his wife Bathsheba gave in to David’s advances and got pregnant. David then got him killed using a trap.
Hey TGS! Nice video! I really like to hear you explaining history/backgroud of cards... And I was wondering... Do you think you could make a video talking about the Duel Terminal story? Like the whole story..?
It's kind of funny how irrelevant these guys were in the show; like they were strong, but ultimately they were forgotten after they were beaten by Jaden. Then they were brought back by Yubel and even built up by Jaden wondering how he was going to beat them, but with Jesse's dragon they managed to counter the combined form. Then they just make a final appearance against Adrian/Amon and he just destroys the combined form pretty easily and its destruction animation was just it bursting into mist/fog and then they're just gone
I guess the most likely place they would be is sealed away in Jaden’s soul somewhere, as he fused his with Yubel’s and she seemed to take all her stuff with her on that trip.
Parthenon, Lord of the Underworld ************ Attack 1500 Defense 2000 This card cannot be Normal Summoned and must be special summoned by discarding Three Cards. This card cannot attack for two turns after it is summoned. Parthenon, Lord of the Underworld cannot be targeted by Spell, Traps, or card effects. You may exile cards from the field, your hand, your graveyard, or your deck. Once per turn, you may play one card from your exile, ignoring its summoning conditions, this effect activate summon triggers. This card gains 500 Attack and defense for each card in exile. Still working on the other two cards
Plottwist:just to spite joey, kaiba would make it wheelergirl instead and it is based on serenity.(for reference, I think to remember kaiba being the one to design kaibaman in the animecontinuity. Could be wrong tho.
Dude, All god cards look so much better in the anime. Or rather the meta is so very much beyond the anime atm. Lol. And of course, Aztec God cards, man! Quetzalcoatl would make a great Slifer/Osiris, Huitzilopochtli standing for Obelisk and... ehhh.... I dunno, Ometeotl for Ra? Man, I really should start drawing some fanmade cards again like in my youth.
Everything about GX first season is pretty vague, is like if the producers wrote a bunch of episodes to explain further details but they got lost around the office alongside the fire dragon of Bastion
One of my favorite archetypes and an absolute blast to play. The supports for them make the Sacred Beasts pretty good and ultimately make them stronger and more easy to bring them out than the Egyptian Gods, which makes me wish that the Egyptian Gods had new and better support.
Am I the only one who wants a Dark Witch trivia? Yes, I know she isn't the most powerful card but her artwork is amazing and I actually think it's very interesting how she continue having retrain versions of herself that no one notices or talk about. Dark Witch, then a counterpart LaMoon, then Dunames Dark Witch, then Dark Valkyria and the most recent Power Angel Valkyria. I also think it's very unique how she is called Dark Witch (in English version) even though she is a light fairy monster. I don't know, I think it would be cool if you could do a trivia for this card, my favorite old card of all time. I would love to see a retrain version of the original one, with lvl 4 instead of 5.
I wouldn’t make 3 new gods, instead I’d make a FOURTH god/sacred card that’s green and is like a counter to the first 3. Kind of like a forgotten god card that was sealed away by the original 3 because they feared the power of it
It is said that Zushin the sleeping giant has power comparable the Egyptian gods. Not sure if that’s what you meant, but it’s what I got. Great idea though, a green Egyptian god would be interesting.
thecardboardbox L zushin was probably just a last effort by pegasus to make something comparable to the gods since the only real versions left with Atem and the recreation of Ra was a failed attempt therefore its just a normal insanely powerful card although it has a good effect it probably wouldn’t last to long against the invincibility of the real winged dragon of Ra obelisk and slifer
I was thinking of Seth The Dark Dragon for the Egyptian Gods, Lucious Lord of Chiling Frost for the Sacred Beast and Wicked Creation for the Wicked Gods.
I always kind of wondered if the sacred beasts were the first knock offs in yugioh. Like the pharaohs had these immensely powerful beings that were well known so his enemies tried to carve out their own. They were given life either by their wish to harm the pharaoh, or Zorc, but they never saw use because they were innert without a stronger user.
Fun fact: Uria's effect in the anime (Hyper Blaze) is now an actual card (Continuous Trap) also for Hamon's anime effect (Cerulean Skyfire) also has an actual card (Continuous Spell) Also the anime exclusive card, Dimension Fusion Destruction which fuses the three is now an actual card as well
Fallen Paradise + Armityle = OP (provided Fallen Paradise isn't destroyed.) My own three god cards. THE ANIMAL LORDS Jormungandr, Lord of Serpents Attribute: WATER Type: Sea Serpent Level: 10 ATK: 0 DEF: 0 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned by banishing 3 Sea Serpent-type monsters from either GY, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. Also your opponent takes any damage you would have taken from attacks involving this card. Once per turn, you can discard any number of cards from your hand: Special Summon 1 "Serpent Token"(DARK/Sea Serpent/Level 4/ATK 2000/ DEF 2000) for each card discarded by this effect. During your End Phase, pay 500 LP or destroy this card. If this card is destroyed, except by its own effect, you can Special Summon 1 WATER monster from your hand, Deck or Graveyard. Fawkes, Lord of Avians Attribute: FIRE Type: Winged Beast Level: 10 ATK: 4000 DEF: 4000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by Tributing 3 Winged Beast-type monsters. This card cannot be destroyed by card effects, and the effects of other monsters are negated. If this card would be destroyed by battle, you can pay 1000 LP instead. If this card is destroyed by battle, once per Duel, during the 4th Standby Phase since it was destroyed, you can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard: Remove from play all other cards on the field, also this card's ATK and DEF become 1500. Amarok, Lord of Beasts Attribute: EARTH Type: Beast Level: 10 ATK: ? DEF: ? Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by removing from play a total of 3 Beast-type monsters from either Graveyard: This card gains ATK and DEF equal to the total ATK and DEF of all Beast-type monsters removed from play to Special Summon this card. This card cannot be destroyed by the effects of Traps, Spells or monsters. Once per turn, during your opponent's Battle Phase, destroy 1 monster that attacks this card during that battle only. If this card is destroyed by battle, you can banish all of your opponent's monsters by paying 2000 LP. Troegaidus, Hybrid Lord of Chimeras Attribute: DIVINE Type: Divine-Beast Level: 12 ATK: 5000 DEF: 5000 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Jormungandr, Lord of Serpents", "Fawkes, Lord of Avians" and "Amarok, Lord of Beasts" on your field. This card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. One per Duel, you can discard 1 monster card: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the monster's Level x 500. If your opponent takes 5000 damage or more by this effect, you win the Duel. I think I did a good job.
@@TheLuckystar96 Thank you, and no two of them are based on Inuit and Norse mythology while Fawkes is based on the Harry Potter phoenix of the same name. 😅😅😅😅
Only thing we need to make the beast better is to make the triangle force spell and add a clause that they treat themselves as continues traps so Hamon and Uria are easier to Summon with their own summon procedure
I used to run Hamon as a three of in my Crystal beasts deck. Was really funny to jam that down using 3 beasts from my backrow and watching my opponent go “wait what?”
We'll Tyranno infinity's effect let's it get a Max of 59 thousand attack points. Though if it's that high you lose at the end of the turn cuz you will have no cards left.
I mean, if we go by the anime, raviel just loses to obelisk by default because raviels effect only takes him to 6000 while obelisk literally reaches ○○ for the battlephase. The other two matchups could be more interessting tho.
