Pegasus sounds like he's always flirting with everyone.

Honestly, Pegasus constantly taking opportunities to humiliate Kaiba, as well as reminding him of his losses to Yugi was the best part about the movie for me. There is a reason he’s still my favourite character

Maximillion Pegasus' VA is REALLY good over the years. I've gotten used to this VA ever since I 1st watched it from Season 1. Since 2003. Plus, they also created Kaiba's Theme Music.

Pegasus was retired and probably not interested in dueling for the moment and yet he accepted this simply for a chance to humiliate Kaiba

Loving that Pegasus has his own wine with Toon Blue Eyes as the mascot and a silly 90's-esc font for the year. Also kind of interesting how after Pegasus lost the Millennium Eye not only did he permanently lose his left eye, but he also lost his entire left eye socket. This may be an animation mistake though.

0:04 - I don't really see Pegasus sweating at all. He doesn't seem like he's exerted himself even once since he got the millennium eye.

The ironic thing is, the card Pegasus is referring to is the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon - a card that can only be summoned by tributing the Blue Eyes _Ultimate Dragon,_ which itself has to be tributed by fusing three Blue Eyes White Dragons, Via Polymerization. So in a sense, it's almost like Pegasus _made this card specifically for Kaiba to use._ Unless at the prospect of the three Blue-Eyes being on the table, Pegasus considered that with those cards, _he'd_ be able to use the Shining Dragon strategy. Though it is interesting. The God Cards were so powerful that capturing their likeness in card form literally _killed_ anyone who tried. Pegasus was only protected due to the Millennium Eye. But knowing their danger, he had them hidden away so that no one would ever use them. I guess he figured that it would help to have a contingency plan in case someone ever did steal the God Cards. But even still, the Shining Dragon is no guaranteed win; with its effect, right off the bat it has the potential to be more powerful than Obelisk, but Slifer and Ra might be more tricky. It would depend on how many dragon cards the user has in their graveyard; given its summon conditions, there would already be four in the grave, meaning it would be at least 4200. With Slifer, he'd need to ensure that his opponent had less than 5 cards in their hand. And Ra is probably too much of a wild card to consider.

That's a HUGE gamble. This isn't the first time someone told Kaiba he can't have a card. It's not explained in the anime, especially not the English dub, but Kaiba invested a lot of time and money to find the three Blue-Eyes. Through his wealth and resources he tracked down one card in Germany, one in America, and one in Hong Kong. The owners didn't part with the cards willingly so Kaiba invested more money to buy their company stocks to drive them into bankruptcy and even made mafia connections.

0:14 in fairness, it was presumptuous of Seto to assume that Pegasus would just hand over what he needs because Seto demands it. Pegasus is older than him and arguably is his mentor of sorts, plus in some twisted way Pegasus considers them 'friends', yet Seto can't even be bothered to get in touch or tolerate Pegasus unless he desperately needs something. It's clear that by later seasons, Pegasus actually likes Seto, wants to spend time with him and have his attention. Seto though is generally concerned only with his company's success, his brother's wellbeing, and beating Yugi. So Pegasus has to get creative when it comes to getting Seto to remember he's alive and pay a social call, as well as act like a respectful business partner. Seto got off lightly here, he's lucky Pegasus really likes him.

Like he honestly has the audacity to tell Kiaba what he does and doesn't deserve, after what he did to him, his little brother, and Yugi's grandpa.

I know the lip movement only being one frame makes talking look alittle choppy but the 4k makes the art in the movie look fucking gorgeous

Fun fact in the Manga his name was Crawford J. Pegasus but for whatever reason in the anime (not sure if just English or Japanese as well) they changed it to Maximillion Pegasus for whatever reason.

I went frame by frame to see what he was hiding under his hand when showing his eye or lack there of. And there's nothing. No hole, no mark, no nothing. All you see is a shadow being cast on his face

Everyone acting like Kaiba lost a million times to Yugi. At this point they only played 3 times. 2 official and 1 suicide attempt we don't like to talk about. Imagine if you never dueled your friends after 3 loses. What's the point of the game then?

I love how Kaiba really hates Pegasus. The former champion of Duel Monsters vs the Creator of the game. At this point, Kaiba pretty eclipsed Pegasus in fame in the duel world by innovating and expanding the game he grew up (the duel disks, likely the duel runners and so on).

It was cool rewatching this in theaters.

Honestly the idea pegasus made shining dragon as a counter to the gods is a cool one granted Shining has a absurd summoning requirement and has lackluster protection and an effect but hey it's a effect precursser to crystal wing and all the good boss monsters
