bebop only problem was the woke trash writers, they managed the hardest part to capture the atmosphere of bebop...but the writing,making faye into a feminist lesbian......mixing episodes killing off future ones and mocking a few episodes, those writers werent right for the job. and if you read the feminist woke righter melt down after the series aired.....she should never been hired for nothing.

Toguros showed up last arc of the first season so pacing not too bad

I said the same thing… it looks like they’re even covering the dark tournament cuz they have Bui in there

I think they are skipping rando and I don't think that's the worse thing to skip. They could skip the saint beast as well. I like those acrs, but they are mostly just a way to show powers and relationships. If it's done right you could make Yusuke and Kuwabara closer and stronger during the get his body back part and give Hiei and Kurama a lot of screen time during the Yukina part. Have him get his mentor a different fast way and I can see a faster pace being alright. Cut some stuff completely in order to really linger in the tournament.

I'm old enough to have been able to watch the series when I was younger but anime was never even on my radar. It wasn't until a few years ago where I've become exposed to it and have become a fan. I'm just about finishing up Hunter Hunter and I asked a friend what I should watch next and he suggested YuYu Hakusho (anime, not this live action), so I'm just checking out what to expect. Seems like I'm in for a good ride with this series. So exciting as I pretty much have 40 years of great anime to comb over!

Oh I'm confident they wont. In the trailer you have fights from the very beginning all the way to the dark tournament in a less than 2 hour movie. Something is getting butchered harder the the anime's end.

It's not bad actually. Obviously it won't be match the anime scene for scene, but i've enjoyed it The only dislike i have so far is that the Yusuke kissing Kuwabara scene was cut, I really wanted to see it for the shits and giggles.

I hope they give some of the side character more light like Mr Takanaka and Yusuke's mom. I kinda wished in the anime you'd see the principal be a more guiding force behind yusuke since he never believed he ever was a lost cause unlike the rest of the school.

Yeah, cautiously optimistic for sure. One Piece was good, but that's because it was a live action show first, anime second. Hopefully this one will be too. As long as they don't try to do straight up anime in live action, it should be fine.

@@jkid4855 Not really, thats one of the good things about Yuyu Hakusho. The Main Characters are no super serious edgy dudes (with excpetion of Hiei but thats literally his character to 90%) but very likeable well rounded characters. Casting them super serious and hardcore would be very offputting

One Piece was terrible. None of the characters act like the anime, the CGI was awful, They were so worried with race swapping characters that father and son are 2 different races. Full Asian cast anime live-actions are actually good.

If I had to guess, they are adapting the tournament arc *without the tournament* (Bui and Karasu are shown, and Kurama is fighting Karasu in a warehouse). If they removed the "best tournament arc in all of Shonen" prepare for heads to roll even if it is decent.
