I HYPE also eternal favorite is Very good vs Maxx, if you take Maxx C at Lotus you simply search pain pain search trap and make Phantom 2 special summon and 1 negate and one super Poly for entire field not bad ;)
You have to take into account that powerful cards tend to go towards SR if they KNOW they’re going to hit later. That is why you should NOT be surprised if Samsara D Lotus would end up as SR. (Same as his cousin, Snake Eyes Ash)
Every main pack has 13 URs in total, so taking into account that centurion, typhoon and the majespecter support is also comming we can make some predictions: We can expect centurion primera, trudea, auxilia, legatia and emblema oath will be urs so there goes Th-phoon is definetly an Ur the majespecter xyz can be Ur (if not that deck really is cheap af) So there 7 ur spots already taken that leave us with loving defender, phantom of yubel, nightmare throne and either lotus or nightmare pain being ur. i stop the count at 11 because usually they also add some UR reprints in every pack
One kind of video I would like to see is more about the extra deck choices for Fiendsmith and what we would have to cut for it. I can see it's important to make some compromises but I would like to hear some arguments at least for why some cards get replaced. We need to find space for 1 Moon, 1 Requiem, 1 Sequentia, 1 Lacrimosa and 1 Rank 6 at least.
If we go with snake eye rarities, probably:samsara and squirmer (ash and oak) sr, throne spirit and pain (poplar, oss and flamberge ) Ur. Phantom... ahahah they could actually create a new tier just for it
8:06 Instead of Superdreadnought/Varudras you could also play D/D/D Deviser King Deus Machinex as a Rank 10. This way the Rank 10 has at least some form of interaction. I agree with the rarities, except I think Eternal Favorite and Mature Chronicle will just be N/R because they are played at 1 at the most.
@@TrinityYGO They will need to hit the engine, without hitting UR to give refunds. That's why Samsara/Spirit are perfect as SR just like SnAsh. Throne and Phantom are guaranteed URs and typically most cores have 3-4 UR pieces with generic support also getting the UR treatment (like Bonfire). I can see Protector as an SR, but still it's nostalgia bait so UR + animation is highly probable. About the rest, I personally expect Pain to be UR like OSS, or at least fighting for the 3rd SR spot with Chronicle. Poor Geist is guaranteed N, and hopefully Squirmer will be overlooked as a great R
I think your rarity predictions are mostly on point. But I don't think they'd make Eternal Fav and Mature Chronicle SR, I think they will probably be R, and Geist Grinder will be N. Also wild theory, I think you might have to eat cardboard on this one, cos I think they'll make Phantom a SR. Just something about the art and it's significance to the lore makes me think that it's less important than something like the Loving Defender or Spirit of Yubel.
Can't wait for the livestream. Due to work I couldn't play this DC, but last time I spent gems was whaling on Unchained/Lab/Infernoble (12k gems and somehow I made Snakes without targeting them) so I'm ready for Yubel. MD is fine if you just play the events and do some daily quests. About Maxx C, it's not just the effect but the deckbuilding requirements that can be nasty and make Yubel flop like Unchained. 9 Slots can be rough, and unlike Lab, Fire King and even Snakes, we can't do a respectable board under 2-3 draws. DBB helps that a lot, that's why I expect it will be the very first hit for Yubel in OCG/MD and perhaps TCG as well in the next banlist (that comes at the end of the year). Konami hates cards that play around Maxx C (for example floo). The above is the reason i believe "Yubel control" will be more successful than "Fiend Link" until we get Fiendsmiths. Finally because MD is wild, I've learnt to keep Underworld Goddess in my extra, but Pain can help with that. However either Accesscode + Anguish or 3rd Phantom + Chaos Angel are a must (even in TCG) with Promethean package covering somewhat for the missing Varudras. Sidenote: Baronne is legal so I'll have to look into Double/Mirror Resonators
I already looked into the mirror resonator! It’s.. fine but definitely needs more testing! And yea, I agree - eternal favorite for example will probably be a LOT better in master duel and if you can go into phantom early, it’s probably also right to immediately do that in case the opponent saves the maxx c! .. I really just hate maxx c 😵 In the past I haven’t really played that actively, i basically only played here and there when something cool released but with Yubel that will definitely change!
Yubel gets 4-5 UR SLOTS... IT has no Ur Sr. & Lotus is definitely a Ur because basically the Lotus is the one card combo 😅😂Lotus, Spirit and Nightmare Pain will also be a UR(most new good themes have 4-5 Ur (tear-purrely-grossalander-kash-branded- and even more...) )
@@skrupi2216 spirit will be SR for sure. Centurion have quite a few UR already and Typhon is another one and do not forget that they always add reprints in packs so we can expect most of the Ur slots to be taken up by the other archetypes. Lotus, Throne and nightmare pain are the remaining URs for sure. That leaves us with SRs and squirmer that is gonna be a rare or common probably.
I think the master duel meta RN belle might be better then veiler, cause fire king is so dominant and belle is also nice against yubel, meaning we can use it in the mirror and banish it off cross out in some niche corner cases
i can see that! i have to study the master duel meta way more since im currently focussed on the European championship - i just wanted to give some ideas, the finalized deck build/s will be way more optimized :)
Are you going to run Typhon in the deck, I'm thinking just in case you get handtrapped to oblivion and only have a DBB on board you can at least put up some interaction plus if you can end on just Yubel cards and a link monster that has served its purpose you can summon him over the link monster end of the turn for further interaction
its the same as with every deck : you can run ty-phon if you want, you dont have to tho. i personally dont think i will run it since i value the extra deck space a lot ! but if you want to, its not wrong. hes generic and good
I know. It also was legal in the TCG and I still played almiraj :) Yubel can’t dodge anything with it since the normal summon that is Important to go through has to tribute for cost. Almiraj is better in Yubel
