I finally got around to punching, sleeving and organizing my pledge (all in, including the solo mode). Looks like the extra pack of cards included in the solo mode are reprints of cards in the original pack that had typos and/or needed clarification or wording changes. The “chief cards” are in the original pack, but are to be replaced with the leader cards.I could be wrong, but that’s how I interpreted it (no info is available anywhere I looked - the KS campaign, comments, BGG or Reddit).
So, I am one of those outraged backers lol. I have never seen such a bad rulebook and reference sheet. Hopefully we do get a new rulebook that actually makes sense and is good... I have voiced my opinion loud and clear cause at the end of the day we paid our hard earned money for a product that isn't what was promised to us. If people would of known the rulebook would be that bad no one would back it. Also doesn't sit well with me seeing it on sale in retail before backers even get their pledges, but thats besides the point. I didn't even punch out the small pyramids cause they are pretty worthless. As for the big pyramid I am breaking it down every time and will rebuild it every time I play it. I can't stand that stuff doesn't fit back in the box. Anyway if you could make a how to play video that would be soooo appreciated! I will never play this game til we have a new rulebook or if there is a detailed how to play. I shouldn't have to read reddit and forums on BGG to learn how to play a game that is supposed to have a rulebook that makes sense lol Good video btw!
Yes I played my first game and the only real issue with the rules I had was the iconography.. like some cards have icons not mentioned anywhere.. some cards have benefits specifically for the attacker but it Doenst say. On bgg the designer had to clarify a ton. The small pyramids don’t have the rewards printed on them which can really mess up a game. I think I might make a how to play because I think I have a good grasp on the rules now and I haven’t seen one out there yet
@@KMReviews That is fantastic news. I have read there is a fun game here under all the dust of a bad rulebook! So looking forward to playing, but need to learn it and feel comfortable teaching it otherwise itll never hit the table.
I'm not real happy about the pyramid box either. My biggest gripe is that I want to be able to put all 6 player trays in the core box. That box should be big enough to hold everything (including solo stuff) minus the assembled pyramids. I came the same basic opinions as you. I have not had a chance to play it yet either, but I've watched it played a few times and it looks like it will be really good.
Yea I’m playing it tomorrow. I really wish it fit in one box. It’s so much room to have all those boxes for one game that’s supposed to be pretty simple
The space this thing takes up is a bummer. I actively dislike the pyramids and the need for an extra box. A square board could've had room to track what's going on with those. The 5-6 player trays not fitting in the box sucks. I hope it's a great game, but it's competing with some heavy hitters that take up less space on the shelf. Basically, the game is going to have to justify the shelf space at this point.
@@VaultBoy13 I agree needing the core box, a 5-6 player box, and a pyramid box.. is a ridiculous amount of space.. if they had one box that fit it all, and a aware board that you could track the pyramid info on, that’s all they needed. I coukd see the pyramids being optional but they essentially have the big pyramid as mandatory. But honestly it’s the weakest part of the game.. like you are lucky if your leader gets to the second spot, probly not every getting to the third, etc
