Tied correctly and pulled up really tight this is one of the world's strongest knots. I use bimini twist to make a loop but it's not essential. Pulling up really tight is though
ok mine just stops tightening after about 3 loops then it just slips out. im following exactly what you're doing. none of these videos mention braid/flouro thickness. is my braid too thin or flouro too thick? 30lb braid to 27lb flouro. im going insane at this point
Beautiful knot! It looks like you are NOT using a doubled main line as most online examples do--is that correct? If so, have you had any problems with this knot using just a single mainline? Many places suggest you really need the doubled main line, like with a Bimini twist.
Once your tight on both your mainline and tag end on both braid and mono, hold both your mainline and tag end on braid tight and then pull just your mainline on the mono while keeping the braid main and tag end tight and once you pull your mainline mono you will see it start to twist slowly by it’s self but make sure you have enough mono tag end long enough because you will see that tag end start to get short until it gets tight
