When I lived there it was called Joshua Tree National Monument I don't know why they changed it to park it is a monument. And it is beautiful all through there I was born in 29 Palms most a lot of the big things are in Yucca Valley had my daughter in Palm Springs I know it's not for me to say but man she doesn't belong there all my friends we would occasionally go there to party climb Boulders have campfires play music it was fun then the sixties in the seventies in the 80s and now I see they had to change everything up with the guard gate and charging people we never disrespected the monument but going into the years now it's all kinds of people coming out
@@ladesigner8764 Proudboy media garbage aside, overcrowding brings more crime and drugs! LA "diversity" should stay in LA, and keep their crap policies with them!
I lived in the Morongo Basin most of my life. I lived in other places briefly, and they were better than living here. I loved living in Avon by the Sea, and Point Pleasant. Upland was very nice too in certain areas. Sadly, I could never afford to live in those places. Especially near the beach. I am sure the house at Avon must be at least half a million by now. Cost of living is not as bad out here, but not great, either. I would not recommend moving here. Not much to see or do, yet feels like a city. Perhaps you will get better bang for your buck elsewhere.
We moved back here again from OC in 2016, I lived my whole life in OC, but my husband was born here & his grandparents moved here quite a long time ago. I love this place but yes over the years it’s become so crowded & too many new shops, kinda wish it was like it was back in 2005 when we first moved here, too many shops & traffic now it’s starting to seem like the city & not some quite little town anymore, plus the housing prices have gone up so much since everyone is all into the desert vibe all of a sudden, hopefully that dies down soon & it becomes a quite small town again. I have a question about the video though, why do videos like these show different schools than what we really have here, like they try to make it seem like we have these cool schools, lots of shops when in reality it’s not really like that, then people from the city live here & want to change it like the city they came from (I mean yeah it’s nice when new places pop up, but honestly I rather it just be a small town like it used to be) the best thing about this place is the scenery & night sky, if you want amazing views & good weather (usually) then this is a great place, but please don’t come here & want everything to be like the city because than why not just stay in a city 🤷🏻♀️ idk that’s just my opinion 😏
Understandable. Yes, I agree. It’s very nice having places to eat and shop. we do have a higher population now. Do you feel that the cap on the airbnbs was accurately set?
The night skies and scenery you cannot even enjoy anymore because the weather is so bad and hotter than hell, and remember, here in Yucca Valley you can't even go outside during the summer and you pay a tremendous amount of electricity to even bear the brutal brutal Very Long Summers now
Ya sux no Target ; no Mall, no Theatre, no Chuckie cheese and entertainment fun center for Family with kids. More Restaurants n Market. I miss living in Diamond Bar. But everything expensive Rent n All
@@jeanettecastro8318 yes. Definitely sucks . Took over an hour to target palm desert yesterday. Looking to sell and move closer to civilization once I gain enough equity here. More of the same restaurants, hardly any diversity.
I saw a lady come by the store I work at and I shooped my pants because I swear to gawd I thought it was her! She looked just like her! I froze and asked “are you Amber Heard?” Lmao then I hear she use to live there! wtf that was probably her! Lmao
There's only one high school, 2 elementary schoolsAnd one Christian school. which you have to go to church there. One bus company that runs through 29 palms Joshua Tree Landers and yucca valley and don't forget Morongo Valley. Your 3 major grocery store are stater bros and Vans. Then you have a little one which is grocery outlet. And half of the town is on drugs. And you can't forget San Bernardino since all the pedophiles out there.
