An extra tidbit of information about De-Spell: targeting an unknown face-down Spell or Trap with it was still beneficial, as it would reveal the card to you, thus allowing you to play around it.

Oh the memories of this format. This is when I started playing Yugioh. Just right out the gate and…I do not miss it whatsoever, lol! I very much prefer the massive amount of options I have now for casual games as opposed to seeing the same 10-ish cards over and over and over again until I literally started to get ill looking at my own copy of La Jinn. Granted I don’t play Meta where this complaint is forever an issue since people play what wins more so than what they find fun, but there’s still some variety in how decks are mixed compared to back then. To me it’s a format worth remembering if for nothing else than to appreciate how much the game has improved over the years, especially for casual players and the numerous deck options at their disposal.

Umm I’m pretty sure that’s a change they must have made to soul exchange some time after because my soul exchange card’s definitely don’t say you can’t conduct battle phase

Spells have no reason to be set in a format where everyone has to set all their spells to avoid card destruction?

at 4:40 an LOB-001 card is shown. IS there actually an LOB-001 blue eyes with that specific art? or is this just a mock-up?

Not trying to spam or advertise. I'm just looking for people to play retro formats with. Is anyone interested in playing? I'd of course be interested a lot in playing with the host of this youtube channel too ;-)

Saying Pokemon and Magic players wouldn't know the power of PoG when both of them had an equivalent to it in their initial format that was totally fucking busted and you were an idiot to not play 4 of them is funny. It was actually arguably even more powerful in Pokemon, for that matter. (Magic's was more powerful but it was a +2 instead of a +1 so, like, obviously.)
