Sounds like me. I got home to a girl from class and she put on the movie Jarhead, because she likes that one scene where the main dresses up as a hot Santa. After that scene, she didn't wanna see watch more. But man, I i was invested. I hadn't seen the movie before, and i liked it! But oh well, I also liked the girl, so we got going.... But her dad came in.... And things got awkward.

That kinda happen to me with a movie about a single father. At some point I just start the deed but after some minutes i really got into the movie because the child of this single father was diagnose with cancer and she only got like 2 months and that hit me. She got a little mad obvioulsy. But we finush the deed and when we decide now is round 2, I got into the movie again! Because the little kid runaway and the father find her at the beach, they play for some time then she goes to sleep at her father arms and passed away. I cried. And she got mad again.

Sounds like my first soiree into chick flicks. Got a 'invite' to watch this movie How To Lost Your Boyfriend Something. So, me and my battle buddies. There was no chick. Just a free movie at a nearby theatre 10min from our field site. And free popcorn. We didn;t know the free movie was that. Half way through half of us were like, "This is actually a pretty movie, battle. Hope everything works out". Good ol' South Korea, Tongducheon. Camp Casey.
