Great video man, i'm hoping to do my first psa submission after everything blows over with COVID-19 and this is by far the best video i've seen so far for yugioh cards. It helped a lot, thanks!
@@Goblin_Hands it's a meme, but based on a lot of truth. I ordered a Legendary Collection Charmander, Bulbasaur, & Squirtle from T&T that were listed as "NM" & they arrived in a single toploader, no sleeve, & dinged up edges/corners. There's a ton of stories out there similar to mine, or worse.
I went and looked at my most prized card. Its a card that i pulled from a single booster pack back when i was a kid and by some miracle its still in good condition. For years i didnt know the difference between ultra and ultimate rares. But this year i finally learnt wat an ulti looks like and realised i had 1 in my collection. Well i took another long detailed look at it using the guidelines u described in the vid and my card i wud say is probably a 9 or 10. Its a "great shogun shien" STON-EN013 1st ED ultimate rare. I looked on the psacard.com website and looked at the list of how many have been sent in for grading and all that. Well of the exact card i have there has only been 2 copies that were sent in to psa to be graded. 1 was graded a 5, and the other got graded a 7. So id say i have a rare gem on my hands.
I appreciate finding this video. card hobbies recently have been hard to get into due to supply and/or scalping. i moved to yugioh since it’s not that heavy and recently decided to test the waters on grading, but I don’t know how to look for since I believe it may be different thank like Pokémon for example.
I would say people’s biggest pitfall in submitting to psa is their bias. Some people want that 10 so bad that they aren’t objective in assessing the card
Sorry but i had to pause the vid at 4:12 cuz u were bending that ultimate rare. I just seized up and was starting to panick. That was very much botherkng me. Pls be more careful with ur cards man. Ohh boy i feel its pain rn.
Ive been looking for this type of video for months and finally i found it. But this time it was youtube putting it on my home page when the bots taking guesses on wat i may like. Ive been even asking around if any1 had any rough ideas of wat imperfections wud downgrade a cards grading at least taking a close estimate. Sorry now back to the vid for me. I had to make this comment as soon as i heard u say that that is wat u were talking about in the vid.
I have a ultra rare Korean dark magician from the first chronicles box, but it has a scratch on the star but under the star it shows foil how many points would this deduct?
I was about to sell my Dark Paladin Secret Rare DMG edition. Only to find out it has a kink in the middle. I treated the card well, but shouldn’t have played that card back then 😭
I just recently pulled a Red Eyes Dark Dragoon. Using your tips and a centering tool the card looks flawless. Centering on the front is 50/50 all around and the back is 60/40 with the top being ever so slightly off. Would you recommend grading through PSA or BGS?
WTF even the Stardust, I'm not trying to be rude or something but why would I listen to someone who can't hold a card safely ? I probably should watch another video. I understand you probably won't grade them, but that's not a reason to damage them
So if on the back of the card there is a semi-deep scratch or very minor indent line of about 1/8" and that is all that is wrong what grading would you assign to it? I have read/viewed different opins and after watching your vid; agree with your opn.
A card with an indent line 1/8 inch would probably get a psa 8. But it depends on how deep the scratch is. If it's very deep indent, it could drop lower than an 8 and if its shallow it could grade higher than an 8.
