Funny enough, Monster Reborn, Feather Duster, and also Super Poly are all legal in the OCG. Also, some strategies would favour Heavy Storm because there are cards that you get advantage off of being destroyed, while you clear all backrow, similarly there's the iconic Call of the Haunted/Giant Trunade combo, which made your Call of the Haunted a recyclable Monster Reborn.

My favorite magic cards (no particular order) 1. Attraffic Control. If your opponent has three or more monsters on their field, this card is basically a permanent "swords of revealing light* minus the revealing face down cards bit. The monsters don't have to be face up to activate the effect either, your opponent just needs to control three or more monsters, which makes this card a very useful floodgate against pendulum and special summoning. 2. Burst Stream of Destruction. A very handy card for any deck running blue eyes white dragon, it's essentially a raigeki for blue-eyes users, allowing you to wipe your opponent's field clean of monsters, regardless of position, for the bargain price of blue-eyes not being able to attack the turn this card was played. 3. Cost Down. This one is simple, once activated, this card reduces the levels of all monsters in your hand by 2 until the end of the turn. Because it's always nice to be able to tribute summon level 8 monsters with one tribute instead of two. Plus, the lingering effect of this card can also help with xyz summons done on the same turn, as monsters whose levels have been reduced by this card remain that way until your turn ends 4. Gold Sarcophagus. Need a certain card to complete a combo but have no draw power cards to help you get it? No problem! Gold Sarcophagus is a search card, allowing you to search any one card from your deck for the bargain price of having to banish it for two standby phases. 5. Stamping Destruction. Basically MST for anyone who dragon-type monsters in their deck. All you need is one dragon type monster on your field, doesn't need to be face up, and you can destroy one card in your opponent's back row, regardless if it's face up or not. Plus, your opponent takes 500 damage as a penalty for the destroyed card. 6. Swords of Revealing light. I don't even need to explain this one, everyone knows what it does. Whats not to love about getting three turns free of monster attacks?

I've recently discovered that super polymerization only works on fusion materials of a fusion monster on either side of the field. Before I found this out tho I'd commonly use it to summon Neo Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon and go on a rampage with it.

The cheesy skits made me laugh so hard lol. Good job man

One of my favorite spell cards is Chain of Energy. if you have only 1 of these face up on the field, both you and your opponent must pay 500 to set or play cards from your hand, meaning that summoning a monster or playing a spell/trap from hand will start making anyone think twice about what they want to put on the field. Not only that, but just imagine having 2 or even 3 of these on the field. Great for burn decks.

Ok for people that play cubics this is a really good for the deck. That card is Cubic wave Reason 1: halves the attack points of any monster you choose on your opponents side of the field Reason 2: DOUBLE the current attack points of a Cubic monster on your side of the field Reason 3: most Cubic monsters have 2000 or more attack points and can attack MULTIPLE times Reason 4: if you banish Cubic wave from your graveyard along with some Cubic monsters(best are crimson novas because they can’t be brought back unless they are put into your hand or deck) you can place a Cubic counter on an opponents monster for every Cubic monster you send to the graveyard. Cubic counters cause the monster to not attack and they can’t activate abilities. Reason 5: if you use this card just right with Cubic karma and buster Gundil you can deal over 100,000 DAMAGE! Trust me I’ve done the math(btw buster Gundil has 3000 atk points. Use Cubic karma to add 2800 more to be at 5400 use 3 Cubic waves - 10,800 - 21,600 - 43,200 along with the triple attack of his ability is 129,600 total attack points. Good luck

I think Painful Choice is by far the most powerful spell card ever in YuGiOh. Making the opponent almost literally pick their poison among the 5 best cards in your deck, was, even at the time, amazingly powerful. After that, I think Pot of Greed is the 2nd most powerful spell ever. +1 is +1. Plain and simple. Free card draw in a game with a 40 card deck minimum is busted. If I had to list off my own top 10 most powerful spells: (from when this video was made) 1. Painful Choice - guarantees you see one of your best cards, stacks the grave, just broken. should be banned forever 2. Pot of Greed - see above; a +1 is a +1 3. The Forceful Sentry - far better than DD; you get to see the opponent's hand before sending the best card in it back to the deck 4. Harpie's Feather Duster - one sided back row board wipes are even cooler 5. Raigeki - one sided board wipes are cool 6. Graceful Charity - +1 is a +1 like Pot of Greed can stack the grave and shape your hand 7. Cold Wave - just so brutal in blocking the opponent from playing. will probably be banned forever like Painful Choice 8. Heavy Storm - self-explanatory 9. Change of Heart - take the opponent's monster and do what you want with it. That's it. 10. MST - it doesn't negate but damn it's been so good over the years (was crept by Cosmic Cyclone though)

Best spell card of all time is gateway of the samurai :) I made a new six Sam's deck that uses gate way like 6-7 times a turn >^> end result is vfd, shien, crystal wing, quasar with 3 body as shield set ;D

What about Painful Choice?

I argue that Pot of Greed is the best card in the series. It fits in almost any deck and is not a dead draw at the start of the duel like Monster Reborn can be. It also cannot revive nomi monsters or special summon only monsters that did not fulfill their conditions (including summon negation). It is a free plus 1 and the only time in a top deck when it is a dead draw is when you only have one more card remaining. Harpies and Raigeki have become less powerful especially with graveyard effects and card effect protection.

I staryed playing competitively during the format when every deck was d. Rulers... and my decks werent able to even play past turn 2

I feel like a more flavorful effect for pot of greed would be "Draw two cards, then discard 1 card at random" if only having to discard 1 randomly is busted, discarding two randomly would work. It's flavorful as your greed could lead to you discarding what you needed in your hand.

Cursed bamboo is the best. It is an equip spell that allows your monster to attack directly. Like imagine the Winged Dragon of Ra with it with a wiretap set. Think about it.

I think Delinquent Duo should have made the list because Yuginono and his doppelgänger are the living incarnation of that card.
