I mean people are hyped about abhyss, and they're not overly strong ATM, with the current cards we have. War rock is just really really bad, like other battle focused archetypes are way better than them. Maybe more support can fix it, but they'll need a lot to make them interesting
It is just that war rocks is like a modern dm era deck. It has a lot of normal summons and even if you bring your big monsters out, they dont do much. Even if in the future they get more support at the time they are pretty bad. Also people talk about not so competitive decks like zexal and armed dragon thunders that are new, because they do things. War rocks does nothing much.
I like the archtype, think the playstyle is a bit outdated but I'm going to hang onto them and pick up the additional support from Lightning Overdrive and build an archtype deck with them for casual play 😁👍
It is nice to see someone actually acknowledging how false and bloated his praise for everything is. Though I do wish Rogue Theory himself had been able to feature at some point. Regardless, well done, sir.
Other than completely retraining their gimmick, there is very little that can be added to make them even rogue status. Glad beasts have better effects, battle phase effects are objectively subpar. They suck, no amount of counter traps or SS from the deck cards can make them good because their primary gimmick blows
