honestly Kashimos death was perfect for him, he was in a situation similar to gojo, he was clearly outmatched however his ego wouldn't let him admit just how stacked the odds were against him, he probably knew he would die going against sukuna which makes sense he did want to die a true death not one to old age like he did in his own generation with no one to challenge him
