Always loved how you can tell in this series the killing intent of someone by the glint in they're eyes. Yujiro's was blue the whole time till he became tired of dealing with Tanagi in 'till he actually wanted to inflict fatal damage, turning red. Meanwhile Yanagi's was Red the whole time because he was giving it is all. He fought to kill Yujiro and failed like the rest before him.
Oh shit yeah lol good spot bro I've watched this season maybe 8 times and didn't spot it lol the father son hate relationship resonates with me , started training at 11 to beat up my dad 😂
This makes sense. I remember in Spec vs Hanayama that specs glint in his eyes were red the entire time because he wanted to kill Hanayama. Hanayamas glint were blue when he was fighting him because he didn’t want to kill spec. But when spec came back and started stomping Hanayama, that’s when his eyes were red. I’m glad you noticed that detail because it shows a new detail about the fights and makes them way better 😄
Originally he was supposed to be dead after this,as well as Doyle(Oliva broke his spine). But author brought them back for that Prisoners Revenge Arc that is being hyped so much, yet I don't see it happening in original timeline of the manga. Maybe it will be a movie...who knows.
Can we knowledge the fact that yanagi tried to talk smack to the “guy” who’s back is a literal second torso , veins probably can stop bullets , at 17 fought the Vietnam war with is bare hands and said hand destroyed a TAIKO DRUM.
@@magmat0585 Y’know traditional Japanese people might choose their own so-called courage over their life… Would Yanagi have died, the numerous people sharing his mindset would’ve seen him as a hero. :p But I admit it’s often better to just close it and shit oneself when Yujiro’s here, indeed
The brutality and athleticism of that hit was amplified so much by that ridiculous pose. The way his whole lower body was just thrown aside for his upper body rotation.
Yujiro is such a great character. I always felt like Baki's character was a little inconsistent, but as a 14-18 year old I guess he would be all over the place. But Yujiro goes from pure powerhungry evil to almost a weird role model. He stops killing for the most part, feels bad after killing his wife and even goes out of his way to help others later on, like this scene and later when he makes sure all the other fighters can leave Pickle's holding cell a few seasons later. It's like, he's realized he doesn't have to cauae destruction to show strength, there's other ways.
The development was well earnt. He got too excited and crushed his wife but he had to live with the decision and say he did it on purpose. His son gettjng stronger and is climbing on his level excites him and makes him proud. Bakis influence to other fighters and respect also somehow made its way to yujiro he has been getting softer and even the author recognized that in one of the conversations with the general in the latest season yuichiro is kind of the final form imo. Its like baki turning into yujiro and yujiro turning into yuichiro finally knowing peace and becoming more humble and getting wisee
Baki was the only person to give Yujiro a real fight. He only did this to Yanagi because he almost got rid of baki and yujiro spent 18 years hurting baki to turn him into a warrior to fight him. He doesn't love him but values him.
Yujiro wants the audience to think that he is only pissed and did this because Yanagi did not only poisoned Baki but almost robbe Yujiro one of his potentially greatest challenge in his life so yeah, it was insulting to him after subjecting Baki to multiple near-death experiences. Although true, deep down it’s because he also cares. Yujiro has trouble with expressing affection so he does it in his own way, violence, sort of. Like when he killed his wife lol. It was a hug of love…and death.
his wife challenged him to a deathmatch. and yujiro wouldn't back down against anyone or anything. if coronavirus challenges him, he will beat it with all his strength.
2:34 that's a look that says "no-one poisons my strongest son and most worthy opponent/successor as Earth's Strongest Living Being, tucking them into a death-bed and gets away with it!"
I love how Yujiro color of his eyes were blue which mean his intent wasn't serious. Then the guy didn't want to admit defeat so Yujiro eyes turn red to deliver the serious blow to his jaw.
I like to think that despite how ruthless Yujiro is towards his friends and family that he has some sort of fatherly love for his sons and since yanagi was the one who poisoned baki yujiro just decided to annihilate him, besides why would yujiro care about a skirmish when he could destroy armies
Yujiros point is he want to kill that shitman and yujiro doesn't feel like it because yanagi is dying so yujiro made a conversation knowing full well that'll make him angry so he could do it. I mean come on, he's not that stupid, he's been through a lot of fights and war
power scaling between god of war and baki is too different for that god of war is filled with gods and mythological creatures, the people in baki verse is still considered humans (well yujiro is considered the strongest creature but you know what i mean)
I've seem this seen multiple times and only now feel like I understand fully what happened. When Yujiro appeared he "defeated" Motobe when he broke his sword. Motobe couldn't fight Yujiro without his sword he became helpless he was "defeated". But Yanagi in the face of Yujiro didn't concede even if his very hands were dismembered. Yujiro challenged Motobe during his match he lost. Yanagi challenged Yujiro and he also lost. The difference is Motobe conceded at the loss of his sword. Yanagi did not concede but was unable to continue fighting at the loss of his life. So in the battle between Motobe and Yanagi; Yanagi is the true winner.
Bro you also misunderstand something.admitting defeat is also correct choice cause it shows that the person knows his limits.but yanagi, even with how much truth was out their about yujiro he challenged him.yanagi was filled stupidity.what I seen so far.he is not that skilled.as fighter.assasin sure but he was never a fighter.either way he lost so many times and main cast are way stronger now.
@@reko8324 This is true, but what did all the prisoners seek when they reached Japan? Defeat. The all wanted to know defeat. Why? Idk but that's the plot we are working with. Yanagi was not satisfied with his defeats so Yujiro came and gave him one he would be satusfied with.
@@joshuabenitez3260 😁 it's one of the things that irritated me about those clowns. Like... _Yeah, you demolished me in a completely one sided manner, despite all my tricks, but it doesn't count as a win unless i say so._ 😁 Most ertarded logic ever
Even we all feel the aura and get yujiros goosebumos when we listen to the death music guitar playing besides we also do know that yujiros voice actor has most of the times voice acted specifically for the most strongest characters in other anime like Uvogin in Hxh
That stupid frame where he hit Yanagi. The pose is Yujiro is in is hilarious but even with that, you dare not try to ridicule him in his presence. Despite the stupidity of how he looked, he one shotted his face to oblivion.
Tbh i think it was his way of controlling the hit bc if he wanted to he could just slap his head off his shoulders, so he was making sure it was just enough to not kill him
A guy twice my size whom everyone regards as the strongest being on earth, who dropped an elephant with his bare hands and ate a bison. ...I bet I can kick his ass and get his title! It's alright, this is an anime. People defeat opponents three times their size all the time in anime. Hold my sake and rice ball.
Hanma Y.: Im going home Yanagi : yeah! Hes going finally, i think my pants are full of shit but no worries because i have fresh ones in my hideout, so im free to.... Hanma Y. : spinning suckerbitchslap! Yanagi: aaakkkkkkkkkaaaajjjj
In my personal head cannon I like to think that yujiro did this right after finding out that baki was poisoned. It makes sense if you think about it. For one, it is somewhat logical that yujiro would want to kill whoever put his son at deaths door. Yujiro from the begining of the reboot acknowleges that baki just needs experience and some badass techniques to be a worthy adversary. Second, yujiro probably looks down on people who need to use weapons and poisons to kill when he can do it with his bare hands.
