During a dark, sunny day, the horror was discovered; the wallet was lost. Follow the two protagonists as they conduct their search, but fate will have a say. Watch in dreadful HD [720p] Song is Mad World, Gary Jules's cover.
Too true! Lost my wallet when riding my bike a year back, while it was thankfully returned to me by a postal worker the 90$ in cash I had was stolen, my debit card and credit card and all my important stuff were thankfully still there. The cash was the only thing taken.
I lost my wallet sometime last year but thankfully the girl who found it also went to the same college. She saw my relatives name on a paper in the wallet and messaged her to find me. I was pretty much making the same face as Yuuko when I was looking for it tho.
My folks told a story to me where they were in a car behind a motorcycle, and someone on the motorcycle dropped their wallet. Instead of signaling in some way, they pretended to not notice, turned around at the next light, and then went back and got it. A little later, the motorcyclist came back frantically searching for it. He asked my folks if they saw the wallet and they lied and said no, then stole the money. They tried to justify it by saying they turned in the wallet somewhere with the credit cards inside.... I was the only one not laughing. I feel bad for the guy.
Lost a wallet once during highschool time, it is pain just to replace identification card... I will have that dead inside face once i lose my current one.....
What makes it even sadder for Yukko is that if you lose your wallet in Japan, the likelihood you will find it back with all the money in it is really high, so she's really unlucky here. I've lost my phone twice in Japan (once on a bus in the countryside, once in a huge shopping center in Akihabara) and got it back both times. I heard a similar story from a friend losing his wallet and getting it back with everything in it :)
You realize that Japan has just as much crime as anywhere else, yes? What are you going to do with a phone that is tagged with a number that's linked to a phone plan with someone elses name on it that also has a serial number and can be tracked? It's worthless to pawn or sell, especially if it's an iPhone with iCloud lock on it. Taking money is ideal because it cannot be traced. You better believe that you'd get robbed in Japan just as easy as you would get robbed in Eastern Europe.
The funny thing is In Japan, it's believed that keeping a snake skin in your wallet would bring fortune And we can see that what happened to Yukko isn't really fortunate
I’ve never seen a better film description of being utterly dead inside from one of life’s endless shitty disappointments than this sequence in Nichijou.
Before this: Oh, that's probably just an over-reaction! They're just high schoolers! After checking google: 44.81 Canadian dollars... It was a grim, dark day that all shall remember when the money was lost...
My id, driver license, membership, and other cards Those are pain in the ass to get back specially if you lost it for good... god i hate when that happen
Matt I dont know why but losing looks so wrong to my eye, i always associate lose with nose so im always tempted to spell it loosing. It even makes sense like the loo in loosing would sound like spooky or looking. Seriously is this some sort of glitch in the spelling world? The right way of spelling losing is the wrong way in my opinion =/
MrDisgruntledGamer1 Glitch in the spelling world? Have you "met" the English language? This is the language where "ough" can be prounounced UFF like in "rough," OFF like in "cough," OW like in "drought", OH like in "though," AH like in "thought," OOO like in "through," URRAH like in the English pronunciation of "burrough"; even UP like in the old spelling of "hiccough" and OCH like in lough, an Irish term for a lake.
This is the anime version of that one SpongeBob episode where all Patrick got for valentines day was 'a friendly handshake' and was angry for the rest of the carnival trip
I remember temporarily losing my wallet at a restaurant. Had to tell my parents that day that I didn't know where my wallet was and we had to drive back to the restaurant. Thought my parents were going to kill me. Luckily, a nice waitress found it and had kept it up front near the cash register to make sure no one would come by and get it. She handed it over to me and sure enough everything was in it. My ID, money, etc. Thank God for that nice waitress cause holy shit. I thought my parents were going to skin me alive if anything bad had happened.
@@Metallicamilo311 When something really shocking happens suddenly, there's no music, but you can't hear people's voices or other noises at all. hahaha you're right It's like you're losing your brain all of a sudden, and you can't think about anything.
Fubuki maru I never said that I go losing my money all the time. Don't try to bring some shit up when you don't know everything that goes on. Why even try to talk about my parents finance when you don't even know the half of it? -_-
***** I see. In my opinion though, the series (the manga) get better after the anime ends. That's where the real battle begins and the plot really starts to develop.
The guy on the Lost and Found, is the guy who stole her money. How the heck did he even know that it has snake skin inside unless he takes a look inside and took the money out
I dunno. Maybe he checked to look for identification or contact information. I think I'm fairly cynical myself but it's really not fair to immediately accuse someone with only bad faith as a basis.
That happened to me once. I had just turned ten and I had gotten a whole bunch of birthday money, about 50 dollars (which is more than I had ever even seen in my whole life at that time). I decided I wanted to get new clothing at the mall, you know cool stuff that wasn't hand-me-down. I accidentally left my little purse under a bench in a changing room. A staff member eventually found it in the same place I had left it, that is however after someone else had found it. Someone found my little purse, gone through it, and took the birthday money from my wallet... It's been many years since then and it still makes me feel dead inside.
When I was 9 I saved 12 dollars and hid it so I can keep saving, yeahhhhh my mom left with the 12 dollars and pretty sure I cried cause my 12 dollars were gone 🙃
Ah finally I found this video again. I just want to thank you because about 2yrs ago this video literally was the reason I give a try to watched this pure gem anime.
Depending on the country you live in 40$ is a lot of money for a student not doing any part-time. It takes most of us a long time and effort to save that much, I would be really upset too if I lost that much money so I can understand Yuuko's pain.
@@Vandarte_translator in Japan, a well known poet wrote about it. Some of his works became revised has haikus. Yukkos inner dialogs are sometimes in haiku form. Her use of mogami river is a non sequitur form of comedy.
It's the "I'm just not gonna convey any emotions because anything my body can do to try to convey how i truly feel right now will be highly inaccurate." face
So.. I watched this on RU-vid before actually watching the show. And when the scene came up in the actual show, I then found out that there wasn't "Mad world" playing in the background. It's just... so unsatisfied T_T.
