Yes I did it again! The ultimate challenge twice in a row.
I started with the River Quest on June 27th, 750 km of paddling from Whitehorse to Dawson City and 2 weeks later I started the Yukon 1000, this time paddling nearly1700 km from Whitehorse in Canada to Dalton Bridge in Alaska and finished yesterday after 9 days of paddling. The race of a lifetime!
So in total 2450 km on my Naish inflatable paddle board.
Very bad weather conditions during the first race, super sunny during the second one, but heavy winds the last few days. It got so bad, we had to stop and lost valuable time, we had to move our camping spot after seeing bear prints in the sand, nights of hardly any sleep, my feet are covered with mosquito bites, but I'm very sad that after a year of preparation it is over.
