Yume Nikki - Hidden Scenes 

I really wonder what's in Kikiyama's head when he made this amazing game. I like everything of it. Places,music,characters,events... Everything is just awesome!

7:04 - 8:06 was absolutly a real dream. Walking through a strange white hallway into a closet and *knowing* that there is a disembodied head floating just out of your view.

9:19 After all the nightmare fuel Madotsuki has been stressing over, her experience with this in her lucid dream must have been straight up BEAUTIFUL. Imagine having to go through such a mental state by digging in your conscience expecting the worse, only to find yourself flying around your hometown. Having the safe feeling of freedom from the air and the sun is such a priceless thing, I adore her. She needed more attention and help beforehand. This was one of the very events she took on a completely different personal level.

I've also noticed something really interesting recently when I've been having my own dreams: Like Madotsuki's dream realm, I seem to be able to revisit areas I'm familiar with in my dreams, as if there is an actual place present in my psyche! One example was when one time I was being hunted down by the doctor from Heavy Rain, I was thinking that I needed to get to 'my home', a place completely safe from all dangers, and it was my old house my parents and I lived in.

Even after years of knowing this game theres secrets I still don’t know about. I love when games hide obscure things that can be discovered only years later!

Lil update! I want to start making the 'sequel' to this video (although I think really I should just do a whole redo so there's 1 video with every scene in it), and I was intending on using my original footage back from 2009, but it's got a lot of dips in framerate, the resolution is pants, and honestly even when it's smooth it's still pretty low fps by today's standards! So I think it's worth me just going through the whole game again and recording all the footage one more time just so it's in 60fps crisp HD! I'll make a checklist of everything to collect HD footage of and then I'll think about what the video will look like. I'm thinking one possibility is that I'll make an abridged video (which will be the main one), and then several other seperate videos which go into all of the fine details that the areas have. I'll just try to cover everything I feasibly can in Yume Nikki!

Hey, everyone! If you liked Yume Nikki, I'd recommend the game Anodyne! I think it's a bit like Yume Nikki, Earthbound and Zelda all put into one and it's pretty cool!

There's just so many little details in this game it's outstanding!

It's before you get to the White Desert, where you have to go through the 8-bit area with the dark maze building. The last room changes to black and white right before you get to the room at 10:22. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :]

and this is why you should never have drugs before bed, or this will most likely happen O:

First, go into the Dark World and walk to the right for about 35 steps (or, if you have the Lamp, walk right until you get to the first pattern) and then walk down until you see the doorway. When you're in the desert, go right. Then go northeast (there are two 'up' exits). You'll see some of the face blocks, so go northeast again (another two 'up' exits) and you'll be at the right room.

You're interested in secrets and stuff in the game? When you go to open the door while Uboa is in Poniko's room, there is a squeaky voice saying "Dame dame dame Muri Muri Muri." In Japanese Dame means "That's bad." Or basically "Stop, that's bad" and Muri means "Impossible" or "That's impossible."

Oh, yeah! I had forgotten about that. On the rare occasion that text comes up, you see those eyes. They're just like a down arrow, like a "Press A to continue" arrow you see at the end of dialogue boxes. You're able to change that in RPG Maker, so Kikiyama has changed the arrow to two eyes. And I just noticed that the "effect selection" bit in the menu has those eyes at the bottom, too. They're pretty subtle. XD

Very unsettling. My dreams aren't always as violent or as disturbing as this, but hey reflect the unpredictable, simplistic quality so much...and it's interesting how various events in her dreams will effect her outside of the dream. If the "real" world isn't just another dream, that is...

Things that spawn when you use Cat effect in the another planet are spaceships, I heard.

:P I swear, the screen was darkening slowly and I was just thinking "Oh god, what's gonna happen...?" and then there was that pause. Then the disco music came on ALL OF A SUDDEN and the creepy aztec thing (which I had remembered was the scrolling background from the block world) came up all in bright colours and I jumped out of my skin. It was also 3am. +_+

2:50 this guy teleported me when I stabbed him enough, not much more than you did. It might have been me walking into him? He teleported me to the dark hallway with his clones that you can come across elsewhere.

.. the floating things at 5:55 are supposed to be that disfigured uboa head if you kill uboa and go to the white desert.

What I was trying to do? I was trying to make a cheesey finish to the video (the random suggestion to the viewers at the end telling them to "Stay safe") and make a mild Uboa zoom as if it was scary! Unfortunately, I've actually scared so many people with it unintentionally!

Do u know who monoko really is? its a girl that Madotsuki (the girl u play as) saw in a traffic accident. The Arms sticking out of her arms (i guess) are supposed to resemble Monoko's bones and the arm sticking out of Monoko's Head is supposed to resemble Monoko's Brains. *pant pant* WHOO THATS A MOUTHFUL

I still think there is nothing in this game scarier than FACE.

am i the only one that that sees yume nikki as the scariest game? dumb games that use jump scares like cry of fear or atmosphere and no emotion like amnesia just gets no reaction from me. but yume nikki was made by someone expressing their deep personal thoughts and life..it is meaning and emotion and the mystery of yume nikki that is creepy, especially since it may not have even been intended to be a horror game.

Thanks for uploading. I might not be a very big fan of yume nikki (can't find many let's play of it and my pc sucks) but because it's an interesting game, I still would like to see more of it

Yeah. I always thought there was a particular theme about eyes in Yume Nikki. The TV... Uboa's room... A lot of other things in various worlds always had eyes which stared at you, like the dark forest map before the train.

I looked and saw this comment again, so I tried it. I just did it and I have to say, though I expected that to happen, it scared the hell out of me! Thanks for sharing this!
