This episode really reveals a lot about those three personalities. As well as the Principles. They weren't just going to kick her out of the school but from the sound of it the nobility and country as well. All for the sake of a 'lie'. They could have easily just double checked. Have her demonstrate her abilities. People like that are not good news. At least the female teacher showed sincerity. Honestly I could see myself just walking out anyway.

SPOILER The fact that the demon king was awake was supposed to be a state secret but the dumb prince just straight up, out-loud, said it in the cafeteria of the school for everyone to hear. You wanna know the funniest thing ever? He never got punished for revealing A STATE SECRET. His parents are terrible parents. His mother does not condemn his behavior and even seems to approve it. His father is a lost cause cause we don’t even hear from him.
Aww, they cut out the part where she had the prince assume responsibility in case something happened. Also changed the effects of the spell. In the manga the dark sphere erased a certain amount of air, vanished, and then a big sonic boom happened as all the surrounding air went to fill the now air-less void created by the erased air. Same effect but different level of destruction
You know, if you think about it, this stunt on the second prince really shows how stupid he is and his inclination not to think things through when you really think over the implications of what Prince Edwin tried to do and to whom and what Yumiella's background was. What the second prince did was unnecessary and pointless because regardless whether or not Yumiella was lying or telling the truth he would have gained nothing and only given himself, his royal house, and the kingdom potential trouble in the long-run in either scenario. How so? Let's look at each scenario. Scenario A: Yumiella was lying (which she wasn't, obviously). If the protagonist was lying about her level, then the prince would gain nothing by exposing her. The second prince wouldn't eliminate a threat to his house, the school, or the kingdom, he wouldn't gain more political power for himself or his house, he wouldn't have gained money or any other material gain out of it, he wouldn't gain popular support...he would get nothing out of it! At the same time, the prince would have inevitably gained the enmity not just of Yumiella but of her own noble house, and again it would have been for nothing. Yeah, sure, her parents don't care about her personally...but given they want her to get married, give them a male heir through that husband via Jure uxoris, have that be an advantageous marriage with a nobleman, and have children to contine the bloodline, her parents at least care about what their daughter and only child represents for them and their house. Beyond that, even if they don't care about their daughter Yumiella, even if they hate her, her parents would not be able (whether they like it or not) to simply take an direct, dire insult to their house without doing something. Sure, her parents can't strike directly against the prince or his royal house...but like other nobles they can side with the "Radical Faction" talked about later in the series in opposition to the royal family. Thus, Prince Edwin would have only caused trouble for himself and his dynasty for no gain. Scenario B: Yumiella really is Level 99 (which is the case). Well, just like Scenario A, Prince Edwin has taken an unprovoked action (against him personally, anyways) with no gain and earned the enmity of Yumiella if not her house as well. In this scenario, though, that enmity is from someone who is Level 99, someone who is at minimum a one-person army, and at that moment in time Yumiella is unmatched (as far as we know of, at least). Not only that, but if Yumiella in response decided to leave the kingdom or got exiled, this Level 99 individual could have given her services to another country-including one hostile to Prince Edwin's kingdom-which could doom the kingdom in the event of a war. It really goes to show that Prince Edwin is not a rational, intelligent person driven by pragmatism, and doesn't think things through. Thankfully (for the sake of the kingdom, anyways) Yumiella isn't the person that Edwin and others think she is.
and also the magic orb that tells the level you have, the first one they say was defective and then they brought in a second one that probably noone has touched and they say she tampered with it. if both of the item gives the same exact info and one of them is probably factory new, id take that info
Yeah, and from what I got from the manga, one of main reason for her not to just up and defect to other countries is Patrick, basically, Patrick saved that nation. Though honestly, I can't really see her that enthused on going to war anyway.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate a little. While I DO think Prince Edwin is a moron (especially for not confirming facts first, and confirming some other stupid fact later in public), Yumiella's background as a "Pseudo centralist's child" is extremely horrible. So on the assumption that Yumiella is straight up lying (as in level 1) then expel her -> humiliate her parents -> make them react -> give them their comeuppance. Also no one believed in the magic orb until the black hole. If the entire world is stupid, then the stupid people are sane.
@@PuchimonExtreme Honestly, I understand their reaction. I think it's extremely logical that they wouldn't believe her. Where I think this whole thing falls appart is that real noble would have been educated not to pause actions that could damage their house. They wouldn't take direct action, instead manipulating things to make the truth be exposed without compromising themselves. For instance, a true nobleman (or noblewoman) could have whispered words in the ears of the headmaster and have prompted that person to act on their own volition, perhaps promising them favor or something of the like. If the headmaster kicks the girl without repercussions, then it's all good. If shit happens, then the noble could just cut off the headmaster. They wouldn't act directly, because that's just foolish. But honestly this can be excused. And the reason for that is that, obviously, dumb nobles exist. So the character's actions are fair if we consider them that way. Indeed, there's really nothing wrong about them if we just consider the prince and the two other boys to be extremely entitled pricks who have not experienced failure before. Given that they are allegedly talented, this is probably what the author was going for.

true, this is just the limit of her techniqual use of dark magic (being to create a black hole) though imagen her going futher like warping time/space/gravity and end up moving planets
spoiler: (kind of, it will appear in either episode 7 or 8.) she uses her full strength black hole and it blocks out the sun for the entire capitol. just... instant darkness for a solid minute, then when she undoes the spell, it's like getting flash banged with the colors of the sky.

@@russellmz I think he was pretty reasonable. Not great but reasonable. 1. Who WOULDN'T accuse her of tampering with the magic level measure? The highest recorded level in the Kingdom is around level 60. And that guy is an experienced Knight Captain who trained and fought for years. And the average for everyone else in combat profession is about 30. Reaching level 99 before schooling age is extremely unrealistic at best. 2. Everyone else in class were level 1 newbs, or something like that. If Yumiella is level 99... Well, she shouldn't be in class at all but if she had to spar with someone it has to be the next highest level guy who is level 10. By right, that guy should have enough reservation to NOT actually break any bones but if it happens, it would be half Yumiella's fault and not the teacher's(for the high level claim. Teacher is just doing his job. The other half would be the lv 10). At the very least, it would be better than pitting Yumiella on a level 1 and have her accidentally kill the poor sod. That would also be half the teacher's fault for putting a level 99 against a level 1. 3. After dragging the guy to the infirmary, he explicitly said NOT to do any sparring matches. It would at least seem he takes safety seriously.

In the Manga and LN Black hole doesn't suck things in it just destroys anything within the black hole and once it vanishes it creates a vacuum where air rushes in to take its place. So anime is different on that.

I like how she just owns all of them after they literally tell her she's lying and just trying to show off and I like the way she does it the first one she beats in sorts play the thing he is best at so much so that he even gets sent to the Infirmary and the other one she shatters his pride so much that he runs away like a little child that just lost his candy and the third she makes him scream like a scared little girl

The thing that annoyed me most about the prince and his little lackeys is that every time up until a certain episode that Alicia approached Yumiella to have a conversation, the idiot trio would rush in screaming at Yumiella convinced that she was attacking or harassing Alicia. The worst occasion perhaps being when Alicia approached Yumiella in the cafeteria when the latter was sat down at a table eating. I understand the purpose of such characters but man, they make it a little too easy to hate them.
If this anime follows the original story, he gets done dirty. Dude has everything taken away from him, essentially. But at least he's not the worst. Somehow he's not the worst even though he tried to get her expelled. His parents set him straight. A lot of other people get done dirty because they can't handle that Yumiella is that strong.
The best part is the magic teacher informs them that at the very least she has power equivalent to a royal mage considering she destroyed the armor and yet they were still going to kick her out.
But I really love the character development in the show. The fact they all apologised to her after the Royal family verified her level 99 skills was a sweet part for me. 😊😊
Even the diameter of a gold piece could've destroyed that entire planet. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say most of the concentration for that spell is nerfing the gravity because that was far larger than a gold piece.
This is one of my favorite scenes by far. However, I think they could taken it a step even further. Like at the end of it… as she looking down at the second Prince Edwin they could have added to the line, “Well your highness, do you believe that I am now level 99?” She would then take took her hand and brushed the back of her fingers along his cheek as she smiles so evil like. Who else can picture this as well. The whole point of that scene would be to show them that despite everything that they did she never got back at them. Her way for trying to teach the prince a hard lesson as prince of a kingdom. After all with such a way how they all treated her no one would blame her for truly going evil. The prince and principal's move to expel Yumiella is foolish. The teacher is right, she's a valuable asset to the kingdom. If she gets expelled and the king finds out, the two stupids will be punished.
I think she should have considered honor bound duel. Would ruin and kick out all the ones that conspired against her with the death that would occur. Such a powerful force trying to ruin her life regardless of negligent motive is to dangerouse to not be addressed with a decisive victory.
Politically such a duel with the second prince wouldn't work out for Yumiella (assuming, of course, that she can even legally have a duel with royalty, or be the one to issue the challenge, that is). The problem is that even if she won there very well could be negative repercussions in the form of retaliation from the royal family towards Yumiella, if not her noble house, given how minor her noble house is in the grand scheme of things, to say nothing of the prejudice she would face for her hair color and magical affinity. Although...then again, that being said, she's got enough raw power even at this point in the story (being Level 99) that she could probably fend off retaliation long enough for her to fight her way out of the country, or she could just sneak out and leave the kingdom like she originally planned. An honor duel with the other two guys-the friends of Prince Edwin-though...that Yumiella realistically could do without fear of repercussions (at least any that would theoretically matter for her, anyways). Edit: just occurred to me that Yumiella also-according to her, anyways-really wants to avoid trouble or just any further attention than necessary, and wants to keep her head down. So with that in mind, a duel-especially one with royalty-would go against her desires.
@JediMasterZim I should have mentioned legally an honor bound duel. So, probably be a high official who signed off that is below the prince. Clearly, putting a noble in the state of expelled so life ruined without testing had legally opened up drastic loopholes to noble protection under their law in some way. Even if denied with demonstrating the power and the intent to kill, it would make it clear to everyone dont mess with me and those high-ranking people will have reputational damage while I gain sympathy for the first time in my life for severe unfair treatment being exposed. Also, after demonstrating power, I look for a way to keep pushing for being expelled and stating I am going to another kingsom to have them beg me to stay again, solidifying the higher ups are behind me to the many nobles present therefore the entire kingdom. Having that reputation boost is much different than everyone still being against me. Since I did nothing wrong legally, I can always stop the expulsion process while maintaining sympathy gained by pushing boundaries.
So if she wanted to she can wipe an entire Kingdom from existence. But no she wants a normal life I know I would after an 80 year fun time in an Isekai world.
That would teach 3 hero a lesson in manners to not awake the sleeping giant with terrible resolve, what FMC did show her max power to make their prideful and stuck up attitudes got shattered after Prince did terrible mistake to FMC with cold attitude who tried expulsion from school she learns at.

Well her parents didn't send her at the academy for learning purpose, it was just an excuse for making her meet some random son of an other noble family and then be married to him, but what more can you expect from parent she hasn't seen once since her memory from her past life came back ten years before she enrolled in the academy^^

I really want that anime to be a desconstruction of the hero's party, the first episode was so cliche but it all make senses when it was revelead as game. Now, thats how they re in truth, a bunch of morons lmao.
Not trying to bash the anime, or anime in general(since I watch it religiously)...But I always have to laugh to myself how they portray spells or any kind of use of "black holes" as a practical weaponized phenomenon. True, a black hole would be extremely powerful if it were properly weaponized, more so than any nuclear weapon even. The problem is the fact that a black hole even a fraction of the size of the one portrayed here would almost instantly vaporize the entire planet the second it was created lmfao. Let alone the fact that anyone actually able to create a true black hole with magic or otherwise would also be warping time and space just creating one for a moment. The key thing to notice there is TIME. Something that can't really be understood how it would even affect objects and living things this close in proximity, I don't think anime writers truly grasp just how powerful the gravitational field of a black hole is lol.
