I remember watching this video a few days after it dropped and thinking the same thing back then. I also saw Lean do a show with Bladee around the same time in Manchester. There was only like 100 people in the audience, if that.
my friend just showed me him, so thought I'd check out some more stuff... to be honest. Not getting it at all. Like doing Mac Miller but with a more mumble rap aspect. There's nothing interesting about the production or the lyrics or his voice or his style. Like purposefully not enunciating anything and rapping behind the beat on purpose like he's fucked up on syzurp. Bro, you not fucked up on anything. This is a silly act.
@@skyrozxi seriously think about this a lot, like i wish i wasn’t like 8 in 2014 and got to experience real music like dis 💯💯 Eveything is Ass and oversaturated/Not Genuine Anymore. That’s why me n my boys making music To get genuine vibes like this back!!!!
I love how some people give all the credit to yung gud. Gravity boys and SADBOYS do this all as a team effort. They carry each other and do this all as a whole. Yung gud is a good producer but white armour and yung Sherman are just as good. All the rappers in the group are very talented. Yung gud isn't the only good member in the entire clique. They got this far by their efforts.
Euphoric dood420 I personally found Yung Lean through this new Yung Gud EP. I was listening to it and then I see Yung Lean - Yoshi City video. I am not the biggest fan but Yoshi City is a very big tune.
Euphoric dood420 Gud, WhiteArmor and Sherman are indeed really good producers, but it's safe to say that the producers are carrying both sadboys and gravity boys, only reason I am listening to any of this shit is because of the beats honestly, they go hard af. But they can't use the same sound forever, so unless the producers manage to make something good with new sounds (which I don't expect), I probably won't be listening to any of their stuff anymore.
Deathstar/Getting Benjamins 0:00 / 2:36 Motorola 2:38 / 4:20 IceColdSmoke 4:24 / 6:00 5th Element 9:23 / 12:00 Ginseng Strip 12:04 / 14:40 Yoshi City 14:41 / 17:50 Kyoto 17:50 / 21:40 I'm Only Here For Yung Lean Plug Walk - Black Kray 6:05 / 9:22 (Here It Is For Everyone Else)
Just imagine a time traveler from 1969 witnessing how music is now hahaha man what a trip they’d have a stroke. For real though Lean is killing it in this. Truly witnessing a historic moment in music.
Wouldn't have it any other way. But tbf there's being odd and interesting artists in all generations but I think exclusively for our generation with the Internet and how fast and how much info is available there's just so much more. Back then you really had to dig to find interesting artists now you can find them on the front page of soundcloud and I wouldn't change it for anything tbh
Love Yung Lean been a fan for years his influence is seriously underrated very sad I haven't managed to see him live yet but I'm sure he will come to London again soon I will go and see him alone if I have to
Was out in Colorado for spring break with my family and we were eating lunch at a restaurant outside, and I was hearing someone’s speaker blasting “Louis duffel bag filled with heroine” and it got closer and noticed the person banging it was this dude with a face tattoo of a dream catcher taking up his whole right cheek smoking a square with his hair in a bun, I shouted “LEAN” and he smiled back at me, that’s all I had to say, sadboys worldwide.
Honestly at this time this was probably the first Cloud rap/Outsider rap shit type show theyd seen they prolly didnt know what to do haha this was MILES ahead of it's time.
I like his "airy" beats that he raps on. And I think he's quite funny. Like riff raff, I love how he flosses his game and has everybody convinced he's a dumbass. And if you guys are that upset about the difference between "real hip hop" and him, he won. Your honestly worrying about a (now 18 year old) trying to make art to eat all of his favorite food and then some. With out crawling through the mud just too pay rent. Jus give him time.
His actual deathstar song sounds no where NEAR this good actually. And it pisses me the fuck off. The actual version sounds like absolute shit compared to this piece of art.
8:12 asks for drugs maybe?. 8:20 guy gets his bag out. 8:29 gives Lean 'something'. 8:38 has something in his hand. 9:08 looks off his nut. Ready for unknown memory
It looked too big to be an acid tab unless Leandoer be just shovin sheets in his mouth lmao. Which I don't put past him since it's Vaporwave influenced..... Lol but who knows. Could have been a pill of some sort. He does reference acid a lot.
Wish he wouldn't do drugs. He's such a talented guy. And young. :/ really does kill me to see these guys who are killing the game with mad talent waste their lives. Ah man. Heartbreaking.
