HYBE really deserves one of the best spots.. Utilizing each members special skills and talents... They don't hide it and make them just focus on being a kpop idol
Showcasing the idol's abilities and not just making them conform to a mold! I hope other companies treat their artists respectfully and acknowledge their talents!
I think she sings in a tone that isn't comfortable for her voice, or maybe whoever her vocal coach is is doing a terrible job. There's no way that if she really was able to sing like this, she now suddenly can't sing.
Nah, she still got it, but it's just a matter of practice and incorporating minimal movement among other things. It's Kpop, they love dance and visuals and don't care much for singing (talking about HYBE of course).
i like how source music isnt just letting the fact that they have a super talented opera singer and ballerina just slip by. they're actually incorporating it into le sserafim's performances.
@@johnanhmmiii not necessarily. For a song like this, any classical background would easily give you the correct feedback. However, I would say the hardest part of this song, is the fact it’s in another language. Proper vowel placement IN ANOTHER LANGUAGE. Very difficult. However, the song itself is simple.
@@johnanhmmiii i mean it's not easy for you because your're not a singer, but she's a singer and who also in a music industry that is dominated by singers. So it's not wrong to say the song is not that hard it self
Well this isn’t high at all for a soprano. I’m a tenor and this is simple to hit in my falsetto so, maybe they lowered the key? This song is for mezzo soprano after all
Well relaxation and minimal muscle engagement to let the air control do most of the work are the foundations of classical singing. But also most professional opera singers have been training since they're teenagers or even children specifically for opera and they won't get hired unless their sound is very very developed and correct (yes, there are exceptions). So it is hard to go to an opera or a concert and listen to bad singing. The whole point of opera is that the singing is always almost perfection. Pop singers can be famous and successful without being developed singers so many strain a lot. There's also many amazing well developed pop singers but not all of them have to be good to make it. You have to ve great to really make it in opera. PD: Also she's singing a relatively easy mezzo soprano aria while clearly being a soprano and using a mic so she has to do like 30% of the work an opera singer would do in a real opera setting.
Woah as a french, I can tell she has a really good accent ✨💅 ☆Don't go too much down there unless you want 🍵. ☆LOL🤡 I meant she👏 has👏 a👏 good👏 accent👏 for👏 a 👏korean👏. Like common I know that compared to a french person it's not that good. 🙂🙃
I love Yunjin's background in opera, but i think incorporating opera with this type of stage can make it difficult to appreciate the quality of Yunjin's voice since there's an absence of a suitable acoustic for that type of performance. Nonetheless, Yunjin is still an undeniable opera singer with established foundations and skills.
@@rona1068 lmao you've got me! I'm French and I agree on a spiritual level ahah (I don't know if I should laugh or cry about it tbh, laughing sounds better tho)
The fact that she is classically trained and sings BEAUTIFULLY and hasn’t let idol singing ruin her technique is amazing. Sometimes idols are made to sing certain ways for a specific sound that can sometimes cause vocal regression, it has happened to hyolyn, Tiffany, Ailee and a few others. So definitely props to her for not losing her classical training and being a very smart vocalist. I kind of want her to sing opera more often. It sounds so ethereal
Hybe ruined the talents 😭😭 i mean they were so goooooood before debuting ngl. Even Queen kkura was a better singer before lesserafim. What is hybe even doing ?
Singing opera and singing pop songs are 2 different things. Both need time to practice and training, you sing opera well doesn't mean you'll sing pop songs perfectly. As impressive as this video is, it actually does not prove how good she is in pop genre singing. Anyways... she definitely needs load of training after Coachella...
no.. i think hybe just doesn’t really care about up-keeping or improving her and le sserafim’s vocals.. yujin and chaewon have clearly declined in their singing abilities since joining hybe :(
they were jumping and dancing added to lack of consistence. They were ok with singing at times in the perfomance but struggled. Yunjin and Chaewon were the one who did better. When Chaewon failed her highnote Yunjin did it after that. Overall they werent at the top but as I said Yunjin was ok and proved to able to sing even if in just some pieces of perfomance.
HYBE is not popular but rather clowned on for notoriously not giving a crap about live singing skills. They love cutting corners and using auto tune. Even if you can sing well, it will get destroyed by being so dance-oriented.
What are HYBE doing to their idols? This is Yunjin without em and I am flabberghasted by how good she is and Kazu's dance is so nice and smooth ( I do ballet too so I can tell when a ballerina is good or not) honestly, the look better without Hybe
she wasn't an opera singer otherwise she would have a prodigious voice 😅 she was a theatrical music singer, maybe she didn't have crazy vocals but she was good since she entered hybe she has regressed
She is not an opera singer, but she has a higher level of singing, it's very different, for example she can perfectly nail phantom of the opera, but she didn't sing the habanera aria very well.
Let me tell you what she said, L'amour est un oiseau rebelle.
i dont think anyone can change her opera singer image now 😭 its really stuck with her.. but at least she was classically trained for a long time so who knows she might become one in the future
@@wdnely probably not. She's spending YEARS of her youth, probably her entire twenties as a Korean idol. Let's be realistic here. Kpop singing will kill most of the operatic technique that she acquired.
You can see she doesn't have much experience as an opera singer. She has the right singing technique, but her voice is too light and doesn't imitate the wideness of an opera singer's. I also struggle with this and I'm training to be an opera singer. Anyways, I'm proud that opera gets more recognition nowdays and she honestly slayed her performance ❤ Also, forgot to add her pronunciation is excellent! It's a real struggle having to sing in french (speaking from experience, as I also had to learn the lyrics of multiple songs from Carmen) and it was really REALLY difficult to learn how to pronounce all these words properly... On the other hand, french sounds really romantic and it's honestly worth learning ❤❤
@@xox.kpop101 Yeahh, that could be a cause! I didn't think about that. We either gets mics positioned on the stage (if the acoustic in the hall is horrible, like in my opera) or simply if it was specially constructed for an opera hall (all wooden, a great resonator) we don't get microphones at all, as the acoustic is perfect! I understand how it might be a factor, but just because her singing has to be quieter, doesn't mean she should change her technique, but that could differ, honestly. Also a thing that annoys me so much is that she sings in playback. No, sweetie, I don't care if you don't want yunjin to trip over her words or something bad to happen, ITS NOT HOW THINGS ARE DONE HERE! It sounds horrible and it basically ruined the performance, knowing yunjin is capable! Plus she was standing still, not dancing and the company needs to get that this is opera! I have seen her perform the phantom of the opera without a mic and she's amazing there as well!
she just uses an opera style of singing. i don't think she's trained all that much in opera singing considering she could only be able to start when she was 18 (voice fully develops). also shes singing into a head mic unlike opera performances where they have to sing over orchestra without a mic so her voice obviously won't have that power that actual opera singers have. also she's using a backtrack so theres that
@@thirtymoredays Head mics aren't a problem either. There's some opera singers that sing in head mics too, I've noticed them. It depends on the sound control from the sound engineers behind the concert. With that said, it's all in the technique of how light your voice is and how to avoid that or add it if needed, but hababera is for a mezzo soprano and most singers who performed that aria kept Carmen's demeanor through their singing. You can research more performances or look into her character. She's overly confident, full of herself and feels like the queen of the world. Volume is only one thing. Also, 18 isn't a bad place to start. Most opera singers start around the age of 18, when they're choosing a career path and learning it in the academy. I, for example starter earlier and the struggle was that I had to be careful with my still developing voice.
