Before debut, Cube actually intended on making Yuqi a rapper. Soyeon insisted otherwise though, and that she should be a vocalist for her voice to shine more and mainly because she didn't want Yuqi to fall under the common stereotype that female idols with deeper voices should be rappers. Thank god for Soyeon, honestly. It's cool to see Yuqi rapping sometimes but I LOVE her voice especially when she's singing.
Yuqi sounds amazing when she sings, her voice just sounds soo good idek how to describe it. Even when she raps tho, her voice is just amazing. I would never want her to change a thing

Soyeon is truly an amazing leader! She loves her girls, knows them so well, and always highlights their best qualities in her music. She also suggested Yuqi dye her hair pink and it’s helped her stand out so much this comeback ❤️
i feel like if they left cube they’d still be able to make such good music cause at this point soyeon is literally doing all of cubes work for their group
If there's any group I'm 100% certain won't renew their contracts, it's G-Idle. They don't need Cube anyway. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if Soyeon brought Soojin back after they leave Cube, cuz none of them were happy with her dismissal. Still one of the worst decisions in Kpop history, but what else can we expect from Cube

Honestly Yuqi's voice has got to be one of my favourites in all of kpop! I love how all gidle's members have a unique sound, but hers is just so lovely - the deepness of her voice really makes her shine

First of all, her English is fantastic. She is thinking in English here, and quickly too. Second, Yuqi's verse on My Bag is my favorite female rap verse in all of Kpop. Her voice is amazing.
I guess that’s why they followed and trusted SY with everything. Although each of them have their own individuality and at first glance they might looked unlikely to become a group, but those differences paired up with trust and dream, really created a great synergy. A good leader needs not much words to make ppl follow them, just trust and work it out.
Yuqi has such a distinct voice that I enjoy. I still remember being surprised when I discovered that she dropped solo songs that were in English. She's so talented.
Oh my god Yuqi even when she messes up it’s just adorable to watch lmao she’s so good at English literally her mess-ups sound just like when someone else is fluent in Korean or Japanese and somewhat has a weird time pronouncing something because they’re just talking so quickly and know what they’re TRYING to say ❤
