Yusuke was hinted at being a demon 2x before now. 1 was what you said about that one demon saying he stole our energy but the 2nd time was during the Toguro fight. I'm not talking about Puu but remember when Yusuke rapped into the power Genkai gave him and everyone could see his energy. His energy was turning from Blue to Red. Spirit energy is Blue in Nature while Demon Energy is Red in Nature. And as you saw when Yusuke got up he had Red Energy
There's actually a 3rd which was the very first hint. At the end of ep.5 when Yusuke first gets the title Spirit Detective. At the end where he catches the small demon and it's says "Ah! he even speaks my language."
im not sure if u notice small detail while he takes hiei and kurama head on he physically has to dodge kuwabara and his sword if he touches him with his sword he pretty much dies
You did call it. You said it when Rugbee tried to kill Yusuke after the first round of the tournament. It was so hard to not comment on you saying that lol but great call, man. I remember being so shocked by that episode.
It was Foreshadowed that Yusuke wasn’t all the way Human all thru the series. And yeah I remembered that you called it back in episode 33 Dark Tournament Arc. Also it was a little bit of hints in his fight with Suzaku when he said that Yusuke is not human. Oh btw in the Next few Episodes you’re gonna see some Epic Anime Fight. I love this Arc. Oh and don’t look at the Title of the Next couple episodes. Lol
Funny how that Defense Force leader tried to stop Koenma saying he would be defying orders. Like Koenma about to listen to the man that basically tasered him a minute ago while he was trying to be civil.
I'm personally a bigger fan of the first saga and last one...I think dark tournament is probably the weakest cause its a lot of time spent on fights sadly which wastes time..
We're here! When you said back in the Dark Tournament that Yusuke is different, he has to be part demon or something - I was definitely grinning when you said it. You hit the nail on the head super early on! I'm glad we got to the point where you can say you called it!
yoooooooooo... that cut scene, "emotional damage" is fire my guy. had me dying at work, now everyone is looking at me weird. please keep that going. keep doing your thing
he's not half-demon, raizen is his only demon ancestor, he is a descendant of him from his mother's lineage, in the manga koenma explains that yusuke has dormant/distant demon blood in him due to being a descendant of raizen, but he is majority human, when he died against sensui he was revived and that dormant mazoku blood was awakened. yusuke's biological dad is human, he appears in one chapter towards the end of the manga.
no the s d f said yuksue was full demon when he died in the fist epsidoe but was to weak to awake has pwoer witch wya he come bac as human so he was nto born human tha wat the sdf said
If we are living in a less cynical time say the renaissance or BC Era, people would have viewed this differently. Purification, spiritual awakening, a miracle Notice how Yusuke went from having dilemma killing a human to having a sudden urge to kill one? and Shinobu hesitating to carry out his plan?
Bruh, this arc is considerably better than the Dark Tournament rewatching as an adult! I thought you were being overly critical initially but you made many valid critiques in comparison to anime during this era and how basic some of the plot was up to that point minus a few interesting ideas early on. You def. called it early on in the Saint Beasts arc where the leader Suzaku said Yusuke isn't just a human. That small foreshadowing you caught was crazy cause I never noticed it my first time watching. You def. have a good feel for catching where the plot is going based on small clues. Keep it up, been watching reactions from you since the DBS reactions & theories!
And back then they were pretty much saying the techniques he was using look like the demon techniques and that's only because genkai modeled her techniques after theirs
Even as a kid, I never thought the Dark Tournament was that great and I'm not sure why it gets hyped so much these days. It feels so bloated at times and longer than it needs to be. I still like it because I like spending time with these characters, and their dialogue and interactions are always entertaining. But the only truly great thing about the Dark Tournament were the character moments between Toguro, Genkai, and Yusuke, and those moments don't really happen until the semifinals. Everything about Chapter Black was darker and more compelling throughout. And while some see the Yusuke being a demon thing as an asspull-y twist (it kinda is), I like what Togashi does with it.
I thought togashi foreshadowed yuske being a demon, if you pay attention it is mentioned in the dark tournament arc and even botan mentioning how his death was completely unforeseen
@@desmondscalaro3669 I don't think so. There are things that we could retroactively go back and say is foreshadowing, but I don't think it was intentional. Here's another one: when Yusuke first dies, they say his spirit has an unusual wavelength (which is why they only had a night for Keiko to kiss him back to life). There are many more instances of this throughout the series, but there's not much to say it was intentionally done. It's not as clear cut as, say, Gohan displaying hidden power throughout the entirety of Dragonball. What I think is that Togashi went back and forth about Yusuke's lineage and whether or not to make him a demon, which is why we don't see his dad. It let him keep the possibility open if he chose to go in that direction. I like that he made it a distant ancestor a lot more though. The absentee/dead father who's secretly really important is such a shonen trope. But Yusuke's dad is just a regular ass deadbeat, and the only reason we don't see him is cuz he ain't shit.
@@Ssjutsu Kurama/Hiei talked to Kuwabara about it when trapped in that void, that's why they brought up the flash back when Kuwabara fake died to power up Yusuke, then Kurama said, "except Yusuke plans to die for real," which then is why Kuwabara starts freaking out trying to activate his new power. Been awhile admittedly, but pretty sure thats how it went down. Also, great content, honestly wasn't expecting a reply.
That's an insult to injury think about it. Imagine fighting three little kids. And on top of that using armor. Already they can't hurt you but now you usimg armor?
im not sure if u notice small detail while he takes hiei and kurama head on he physically has to dodge kuwabara and his sword if he touches him with his sword he pretty much dies
