I love Yusuke's attitude. "FUCK WHY'D BAD SHIT HAVE TO HAPPEN!? NOW A GOTTA SAVE THE WORLD AGAIN. FUCK!" A way more realistic hero than Goku's forever happy-golucky self. Not downing Goku cuz he was cool, but Yusuke is cooler personality wise.
I don't know if you know this, but not every anime hero has to be precisely the same or be "realistic" in your eyes. They're allowed to have diverse personalities and motivations. Yusuke is different from Goku, not better. Would you say Edward Elric or Rurouni Kenshin are bad heroes just because they aren't like Yusuke?
@@djervalevy9784 I was quite literally a teenager when I penned this 13 years ago and while I still like Yusuke more for personal reasons, I do respect and agree that Goku has completely different intentions as a character and he fulfils them extremely well
They both got way stronger since their first fight. I remember Yusuke actually handling himself rather well against Hiei the first go round. He caught Hiei by surprise with a solid counterpunch, then later managed to ricochet a spirit gun off a mirror (forlorn hope, stolen artifact of darkness) that blasted Hiei in his back. (Kurama did kinda intervene/help during the fight by stepping in front of a blade.)
@@jazzyprince3335 Just a weeaboo troll being a dickhead about *any* English dub. Cuz Japanese version always better to these no-life idiots that most likely can't understand the language at all aside from subtitles...
I like how Sniper stands there, while Hiei stares at him, like you don't know that Hiei intends to kill his ass. Haha, one of the better bits of the show.
This fight is about 2 minutes long and it's better than most other anime today sadly. Hell the reused scenes where they're just punching each other for 7-8 seconds is way more hype than 99% of other anime fight scenes. Good old fashion beatdowns are way better.
I like how hiei forces to make Yusuke believe that Hiei was about to summon the dragon of the darkness flame there at the end only for Hiei to start licking his own blood
Hiei walking down the barrel of a pitol and dodging bullets is one of the coolest directed shots I've seen. Love seeing the speed from Sniper's pov, Hiei waits til he already has pulled the trigger to move.
Keep in mind Yusuke is still an A-Class while Hiei is an upper B-class. Yusuke was distracted because he was angry and being irrational, that's how and why Hiei was able to keep up. At the end of the series, they're more or less equal, but Yusuke's new energy definitely gives him an edge.
@@meerkatsuricata9729 yeah, but Yusuke was already much stronger than Yoko Kurama before the Demon World tournament even began, and he got even stronger with his new energy. It's possible Hiei was stronger than Yoko Kurama, but I highly doubt he was as strong as Yusuke by the very end. The gaps between all S-Class demons are enormous.
@@matyasd007 wouldn’t say so, if Yusuke towered to the power he used against Toguro, then Yusuke would blitz him. Now if hiei uses dragon of the darkness flame prior to yusuke’s spirit energy building up slowly like it did with Sensui? Then yes he wins.
@@matyasd007 That’s false, by this point Yusuke had already fought 2 of the physics and Sensui. Hiei at best managed to tie against a TIRE WORNOUT Yusuke.
Yusuke mostly because he's the freakin main character but in this episode they seem kinda equal except that in the end yusuke was breathing heavily and hiei was fine.
“BRING IT ON BITCH 🤜🏾💯🗣!” I swear I remember watching this as a kid? Yusuke was always cussing up a storm 😂🤣! He was like the only character that had a foul mouth but also play the hero. I always wanna know was he a anti-hero? Cause it always seemed as if he ain’t give a fuck about shit
Hiei didn't go all out in that battle he wanted to die that whole saga until that battle with Mukuro convinced him he had reasons to live and even if Mukuro didn't use full power who says she used half power even it was half of her power an A class demon would be demolished so Hiei was S class and he didn't absorb the Dragon so we don't know how strong or fast he was Mukuro didn't have an easy time fighting off Hiei at all.
@MultiDbzrocks well lets face it, if it hadnt been for the whole, yusuke being the son of the almighty demon king thing he wouldnt be much of a match against hiei in a plain fist fight.
Not really at this point in the story he didn’t even use demon energy nor did he even know he was part demon plus logically wouldn’t that put them on equal grounds you know considering there both demons
@fusedpower YUsuke liked to fight too,you can see that from his battle with Chu and Yomi where he just didn't care about anything other then fighting XP
I like the manga version of this scene better, as when you first see Hiei appear, he's already saved Yusuke and stabbed Hagiri before he even notices, and Botan pops in midway through the fight to say it goes on for around 10 minutes.
@Tranisdaman DBZ inspired most shonen mangas not every manga in particular. Yu yu hakusho was one of those inspired by dbz, with One piece, naruto and bleach.
while i don't deny Hiei skills and power, i don' t think you can say Yusuke was only strong because of that. It's just like His match against toguro, Yusuke power is never fully released at the beginning. I believe at best Hiei was S class with the dragon, it was never mentioned that he went to S class without it so we can only assume that he was. i think he was an A+ at the end and S with dragon
The pot of gold is just euphoria, you can find that in multiple zones 🥱, that feeling of being truly alive is the sequence undertone. Fighting brings that out of some 🥱.
@badboi0717 i knida agree. but goke isnt all happy go lucky. he just has a positive outlook on life and likes peace but is serious when he needs to be. but yusuke is a born street fighter so hes just always lookin for trouble
no hokoshin was lower S- class, we never get to see sensui use 100% of his power he was about to do something but then raizen possessed yusuke, sensui was S class while yusuke was S- class before raizen stepped in.
