Karama stepping in for Yusuke this round was really smart. Yusuke would have probably been duped by Gama's paint techniques leaving him vulnerable against Touya. This way it leaves Yusuke available to go up against the straightforward heavy hitters like Bakken and Jin
While what you're saying is logical, it only makes sense if both of them had the insight of Team Masho's ability beforehand. They were pitted against this team after immediately fighting the last one. No rest of time to get to know the next group of fighters. So they wouldn't have time to know who has what abilities. Kurama's objective was more simple than that: To get as much wins as possible before he goes down so that Yusuke's energy is not spent when it's his turn. Increasing their chances of proceeding to the next stage of the tournament.
@@xnortheast1106 lethality is a degree of deadliness and to add more emphasis onto it I added the word deadly to help stem just how severe and dangerous Kurama’s deadliness is. So his lethal deadliness is to the highest of the highest degree
@Thicc Thighs The three strongest in order and in my opinion are Kurama, hiei and yusuke. Kuwabara's not terrible but I would really like to see him get more character development because I feel like he holds too much back
i liked Gama's powers, they were very cool, paint yourself to get boosted by your own demonic energy, paint enemies to debuff them with your own demonic energy, sounds like the concept for a Strategy Battle RPG character if you ask me.
my god, kurama is everything amazing xD he's smart, he's cunning, he's strong and powerful. he's even kind to his enemies. [he's pretty fucking hot too >D]
lol kurama rules he beat him not with his punches or kicks, but with his freaking hair. and then the classic line"only an amateur depends on his arms and legs for victory" lol wow
He's referring to the fact that those at the top can simply attack you with their energy not requiring the use of their arms and legs to attack you. We see this for example when Younger Toguro just with his aura cut Yusuke.
Every character in the show is an amateur compared to him. Kurama is the single most skilled character in the entire series, and he is only ever vulnerable due to lacking the raw power to fully exploit that skill against more powerful foes.
Yusuke is no amateur. He does do more than just punching and kicking. The lesson Kurama said is an easy thing in fights that surelly Genkai knows, ergo, she absolutely teached it to Yusuke and her students.
haha i know most people dont respect most english dubs but you gotta understand alot of us like them because we grew up on them and it brings back such good memories. for ex. yu yu hakusho, rurouni kenshin, gundam wing and of course dragonball z. so cut these animes some slack
@lybratanz I think it's because in Japan most girls are voice actors, while in America, we have alot of dudes who would love to be a voice in an anime. ^_^
Dude, Gama, you're fighting someone who is still a YOKAI. And he's known as an ANIMAL and a TRICKSTER spirit! How are you gonna not figure out he might just maybe, JUST maybe might have a few tricks up his sleeve that don't involve his HUMAN ARMS AND LEGS ffs
Kurama is a badass but Yoko doesnt give a fuck yes i know their the same person but Yoko would kill his enemy without giving it a second thought at least what i've seen from Yoko which is probably why Hiei wont fight Kurama
Hiei actually said that he recruited Kurama specifically to avoid facing him in combat. He might not have known too much, but Hiei is not bad at guessing his opponents power. It's why few people face him and survive.
I used to think what Hiei would do in this situation, if he couldn´t use his energy. Then I thought, he wouldn´t be in this situation, he would kill Gama right off the bat xD
Yep. Hiei's pretty consistently critical of Kurama letting his curiosity get the better of him. Kurama's strategy is to learn his enemy's move set in its entirety, then absolutely crush them in a way that leaves nothing to chance. Hiei goes for the blitz as quickly as he can so any fancy tricks his enemy may have up their sleave stay up their sleave and never become a factor in the fight. Both strategies have strengths and weaknesses.
Yu Yu Hakusho characters have lots of reference to Dragon Ball Z. In this scene, Gama has a strong reference to Frieza because of the following attributes: 1. Gama's head bandana is oval like Frieza's purple "coating" or "shell" on his head 2. Make-up and lipstick, including the marking on body parts like shoulders and chest have the same positioning as with Frieza's purple marks around his body. 3. Gama's pale skin is like that of Frieza's white skin.
I always get distracted by Kurama's gorgeous face. Still the prettiest boy for me. I love his eyes. Eren Yeager's eyes are the same, but more intense and glowing. No wonder I love Eren too.
I can't agree with Gama's choice to die to seal Kurama it makes no sense. I get that he was willing to give his life to win. But at this point you gotta be thinking Toguro's team is the hardest fight. You can't afford to lose a member this early in the tournament to make one win easier. It's just bad strategy.
Basically the owner of team masho (the one they're fighting) cheated and got those two declared medically unfit to fight, and by the time they realized they were tricked it was too late.
I'm wondering if anyone noticed Kurama looks close to Kenshin😭 Like um, but is no one talking about why Kurama is so pretty boy mode in the whole series?..hes even majestic too
1:40 even though it's filler dub dialogue Gama's speech here could be applied to otaku culture and how normies took over it. imagine he's like "tell me weeb traitor what does the word anime bring to mind? normie females no doubt, a little cosplay to attract the next Chad. disgusting isn't it, the way normies manage to bastardize everything they touch. now few weebs know its original power." prophetic stuff, eerie.
Hiei asks the same question at 3:11. It's Kurama's preference to study his opponent's moves before attacking. If you watch his fights he never attacks first, he always jumps around like this
@@abduljah9355 I wonder what would happen if Kurama fought someone who's also reading their opponent before attaching? Someone's who's not really a "chatter" type of opponent. Like... Super mysterious you can even read what's on their mind 🤔
Kurama plans ahead and he doesn't like to jump in right away in case the opponent has trick up their sleeve. That sometimes does mean the opponent would be able to land hit on Kurama. But whenever Kurama is done planning his opponents pretty much always die in a gruesome way. He goes for the sure kill instead of the quick kill basically.
@frostea7043 The only exception was his fight with Elder Tuguro/Gormet. He destroyed them on sight. Of course, he was beyond angry at being forced to kill a small, ignorant child.
