@@paladinoateista9173 can't he? He uses celestial magic right and honestly one of the strongest mages /beings in runeterra. Even if he can't ein he should be able to put some damage to Galio
@@berilsevvalbekret772 In lore he is COMPLETELY imune do magic, even Sylas, that have studied the guy from top to bottom can do a thing against him when comes to magic
@@berilsevvalbekret772 Galio's built out of special magic-absorbing stone. As far as mages go, you need to either be exceedingly powerful (like Veig's sugar daddy Mordekaiser) or know how petricite works (like Sylas) to be able to contest that.
Omg i love the Durand Protege, She's like another Cithria but a sculptor artist version, and yah i love her voice and personality! "Im still learning but i'll help if i can! " 12:24
i love how they try so hard to make the rivalry between sion and galio work, but they completely ignore the fact that sion is just twice as tall as a normal human and galio is bigger than several buildings, galio would crush sion without even trying
I mean you can clearly see the sarcasm in galio's voice toward sion. The only one taking this seriously is sion. And the reason being that the guy pretty much a machine right now
Yeah I get the parallels, they’re both weapons used by rivalling nations, but where Galio was a weapon that became a person, Sion was a person who was forcefully resurrected as nothing but a weapon. But it’s like watching a man fighting a skyscraper
@@peacepham7838 sion isnt unkillable, he is just extremely resistant to damage. But there is nothing you can do when a multiple ton statue just crashlands into you, he would be smeared across the floor 100%
I found really weird how when confronted with the question of why they didn't make Udyr stances the same as the upcoming rework they said Udyr's stances in LoR were supposed to be referencing the animals of the Freljord and NOT the gods... Yet he still clearly screams for Ornn, Volibear and the Iron Boar when using them.
@@jimcharles1479 ah, I was a little unclear there, "vind" is the "wind" part (and "ild" is fire for the boar) I also don't know what haurg means though, or even if it is the actual spelling (horgh might be closer) - still looking though
@@FrostSylph I'm sorry, but I checked and it really seems to be Anivia who froze Gnar back in the day to save his life after the Watchers murdered his parents. EDIT: I just saw there seems to have been a retcon in the lore I find little to no trace of it outside the LoL wiki...
Galio follower is not some order. It a noble house, they are Durand descendants. The old man the girl and the lady all is on same family. And the old man said It a Durand way or a true Durand.
Galio and Veigar was a comedic duo I never thought I needed. Even funnier when you think about the fact that Veigar in lore can’t do anything to him. All his magic would get absorbed and thus he’d be even less threatening than he already is.
@@justicetheblindawesomedemo3122 Not exactly, before mordekaiser turned him into .. what he is now, he was studying the celestial magic to rebuild the world in a sense
"Not you. Anyone but you." Galio's one of those characters where he's usually so boisterous, so confident and proud, that those rare moments where he's genuinely stunned or forlorn just make it hurt more.
@@hakesz there’s a short story on the universe page that explains how they became friends. Galio is the one that kept her company when she felt isolated by her powers and she’s one of the few demacians outside of the house of Durand that see him for what he truly. That’s why he’s so concerned when she shows up in battle (and why she can call him like in the awaken cinematic), because she’s his best friend.
Eh, even in the story they barely acknowledge it. Ashe own father is only mentioned a page or 2 in the comics. It's seems the father doesn't matter for warmother
@@zackfiat607 Because a warmother can have multiple husbands. As such you don't even know who is your real father among your mom's harem. You only know your mom, lol
@@dieptrieu6564 and on top of that, there is the "sworn father", Ashe had a lot of fathers for example. And a feel that on Udyr, he maybe isn't Sejuani biological father but he (at least to me) has a clearly bond with Sejuani, tied back probably to her mother
I think, somehow, Galio can relate to Sion in a way because they essentially serve the same purpose: Sion is chained down under the immortal bastion and only freed when Swain needs him to commit mass murder and atrocities; Galio is unconscious most of the time until the kingdom or Jarvan needs him to protect his people - ephemeral meat sacks that he knows for sure will be dead when he is awakened again anyway - only to shut him down again when he is no longer needed. Both of them are simple tools.
@@FriendlySwarmlord yeah in that way as you already said Galio and Sion are really familiar, i think they also share the same interaction with Jarvan asking wich one of the Jarvan's he is as so much time between their awakenings passes
@@Juanmaligno Uh... Wrong Cassandra, lol. Nami and Yuumi are voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris, who also does Morgana in Persona 5, Sothis in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and Marie Wentz in Astral Chain, to name a few.
omg ikr! I thought they are friends? ( i know its when enemy champion arrives ) and yet fizz knows nami. idk maybe Nami is stressed or brainwashed thats just my personal theory but WOW i kinda love it to see Nami being little bit aggressive. it just kinda broke my heart they have an interaction like this. Im all for wholesome interactions
im so glad we get little bits of fun lore through the interactions, it really gives everyone so much personality. pantheon and yuumi having interactions is something i NEVER anticipated, and its too damn precious for me to handle edit: did you have fun transcribing gnars lines here?
I'm not really an expert in Runeterra lore but I read somewhere that Galio doesn't really bother remembering names because he exists through many generations. He sleeps for many many years and people live and die in his slumber. That is why I think it's more convenient for him to not remember names :D
The Durands and the Petricite beasts honestly have to be my favorite, Galio too. They have so much character, showing that they have made mistakes and yet they cherish and love their creations with all their heart. Including their daughter.
