@@baifomet6425 It seems it didn't work since it already spun another replacement called nuzu. They only could demand yuzu becuase of the dumb decision of putting payroll on patreons with roms. That's what nintendo use to demand them since gaining money by selling roms is ilegal. Not the emulator in itself.
It happened because Yuzu Emulator was monetized and the patches were behind a paywall and you weren't allowed to monetize it while the Nintendo switch is still selling out there
@@Nobbie248 the switch ironically doesn't meet the minimum requirements, meaning that you can't use yuzu on it. however, you *can* use skyline. my friend did it once & could barely get through the first level of SMB. Wonder
I despise their dmca legal team in Japan that makes those decisions and the business decisions as well, but I always respect their developers and employees.
@@SkaterPoopyPants guess what? I can play my nintendo switch oled and play the legend of zelda botw and tears of kingdom in the sun light and the sun dont effect my screen like it does with phones. best part? I can bring my games with me no matter where i go! Be it to restroom, walmart, mcdonolods, or even out of country! Nothing beats hand held systems! Including the steam deck!
@@ShinMegamiTenseiVVengeancefan the fuck are you even on about bro? Whats your point of this handheld advantages? I don't really have the time to play games on the go like a kid anyways i mean good for you that have a console that's about to die and Nintendo shutting down the shop for it right after that thing is going on 7 years dude its knocking on heavens door shits gonna be emulated anyways and people make their own hanheld devices for emulating also soo? That doesn't change the fact that Nintendo is a clown they show it every action they do but because you enjoy your switch im some how salty
@@ShinMegamiTenseiVVengeancefan & my switch can be used as a devkit, run homebrew, and run external operating systems. don't cuck nintendo & embrace actually owning your hardware :)
Image at the end from hotdiggedydemon. Also, this is unironically exactly what Nintendo does. SEGA might’ve not won the Console War, but they sure are winning the Emulation one.
I just now realized how emulation is also amazing for disability access, the number of different kinds of input devices for PC compared to consoles, and the software to combine several inputs into a single virtual gamepad must be immensely helpful.
whats funny these companies dont understand is if you already have it downloaded, you can still use it after it gets shut down lol. i still am able to play on xlabs and plutonium for cod and i still have yuzu lol. instead of actually going after piracy or atleast porting their games to pc, they go towards the emulators which will stop nothing.
Their goal is above all to prevent the emulator from running future games that will be released because it is no longer maintained (like the game with Princess Peach), fortunately Yuzu's successor is already there, Emulation will never die!
@mozydiaz8296 ryujinx is still available too. I think it runs better performance wise than yuzu did, but has a bit more compatibility issues. I've only played two VN's on it though, i'm not a big fan of nintendo games tbh
I don't think you understand the reason of the trial against Yuzu. It wasn't just for the emulation but because they were having games on Yuzu weeks before their release, so I think it's normal that they wanted that to stop
You know it’s funny, even though I didn’t have any switch games on my PC, I had the common sense to install and update Yuzu just in case some crap like this happened and it was pulled from the internet... after seeing Dolphin get put under pressure I wasn’t going to take any chances
