I love yuzuru but every time he fails his jump and gets sad it reminds me of my sims when they're upset 😂😂 his reaction is so priceless and adorable 😍👌
1:15 that 5 jump combo... that is totally insane!!!! 1:43 4-3-3.......3 LOL they r both insanely good at skating and it's really fun to watch them skate
To be honest, her jump technique is quite bad, they are small and low and too forced/muscled with toe hammering. On the other hand, his jumps are HUGE and effortless, no toe hammering or muscling.
@@RA-sn7uz you don't have to skate to know about poor technique. The same way in which the judges can't do what they're doing but can call a flutz when they see it.
How can battle jump look so fun like this.. I like their friendship "rival on ice" 😍 I need their collaboration soon.. Yuzu looks so cute when he fail 😄 I will wait for zhenya learn Quad too I believe she can improve in the future
Idk when, but he's been openly doing attempts here and there in a few exe moments. If he's actively practicing for it and showing it off here and there, there's no way it doesn't end up in a short if he's executing it well.
JFbabe *Me and my family, watching the Olympics next year* Me: "WOAH! YUZURU JUST DID A QUAD-QUAD!!" My parents: "... English please. Not Figure Skatish."
Yall are talking about yuzuru.. Cuz most of yall are girls lol fangirling him 😂.. But i will talk about this queen she is so strong.. The fact that she is challenging him in jumps is so incredable + she was 16 in this video .... I love her... she is so talented. By the way now her flutz are perfect.
below comment is not wrong actually. the reason evgenia can jump so many in a row is she is jumping with her strength, not really the speed of skating. this is not wrong, of course. but the problem is that this is why a lot of female skaters have hard time transitioning from junior to sernior. they're light and skinny and small but when they go through body changes, they gain weight and height, making it harder for them to jump. and she already has a hard time doing the combination. evnegia looks like she didnt go through that phase yet. once she does, she's going to have a hard time. an example is yulia lipniskaia. she was so small and light in sochi, but she struggled so much (she still has hard times jumping). if she continues to jump like that, her jumps are going to be even lower and shorter. she needs to start getting ready
FLY !!! i have no idea im assuming her way of thinking? like the time she fell and did not do very well and didnt show up to the medal ceremony after showing how dissatisfied she was with her medal, which was silver or bronze. she was really rude, thats all i know.
FLY !!! i really do not like how she thinks she's a superstar. im sorry but even skaters at a much higher level dont act that way so know where you are standing..
i hate to bring up yuna in another skater's video because people already think yuna fans are crazy but yuna was literally, not exaggerating, the only skater in korea. she had high expectations but she never behaved like that. she had the whole country on her shoulder and even when her scores came out like shit, she never complained once about her score or criticized other skaters, it was to a point where other skaters and magazines criticized for her instead. yulia isnt the only one going through that, evgenia is going through the same thing, maybe even more since she's a champion right now. she doesn't do this, does she? just because you're having a hard time doesnt mean u can treat people like shit.
In regards to Evgenia going through growth spurts. I agree that she probably won't be growing taller but her body could still go through changes which include gaining more weight (whether it is muscle or fat) and where that weight is distributed, therefore causing jumping problems.
girls go through bigger body changes than boys do. girls' hips widen, chests get bigger, and gain weight. that is why a lot of skaters are popular while junior, but slowly go down in rank and are forgotten when they become seniors. an example is yulia lipniskaia. she was pretty well known during sochi but after she went through the changes, she couldnt jump anymore. because she was jumping with her light body, with her strength, but when she started gaining weight and having body changes, she couldnt handle it.
Yuzu did better with his soft-knee landing. People pointed out that the angle of the landing foot with the ice is not as standard (or textbook version) with many Russian skaters.
I swear they could get together some time in the future maybe dunno but why am I so jealous it hurts to watch them having such a great time together even though I wish them all happiness in the world. So bittersweet.
All these people freaking out because they're "5 years apart" meaning that they can't be in a relationship. Come on people, my parents are 6 years apart, I don't even see the problem here. I don't really ship them, but I think they'd look cute together. They're both competitive, I bet they'll be challenging each other into every little small thing in live. Like who tie their skates faster or smth.
QuincyIsCrispy who's "underage"? the 17yr old literally DAYS from being 18? plus i honestly don't give a shit about "age gaps" anymore, he can be 40 and she can be 20 (or the other way around even) for all i care really. as long as they're both "consenting" all is good **shrug** =)
I don't know why people are comparing them. They are both amazing skaters that definetly have gold medal quality. Also I know if they compete Yuzuru would probably win since he can do quads, but plz don't say that Evgenia isn't that good. If her jumps aren't good then what are the rest of the people who get lower scores than her? (Especially when she wins gold) I'd like to see you do those jumps when you say "Oh she shoulve done that instead, her jumps are so weak and bad, if only she won".Because jumps used a lot of upper body strength it is harder for women to do quads. But at least they can make that up by doing multiple triples. If her just were really weak then she wouldn't be able to do that many jumps in a row. Next Yuzuru, he is such a good ice skater, that oh ya just did a 4-3-3. Of course sometimes he makes mistakes but that's what makes him well Yuzuru Hanyu. I just love his personality so much.😖 They are both very different and serious people when they are on the ice, and when they are off the ice, they are just clumsy, fun loving little softies.😇 Also do you know how hard it is to be on the Olympics showing your mistakes to the whole world. There so much pressure from your family, your friends, yours fans, other competitors, plus on the ice your all alone being stared at by strangers and judged by each and every person. So many things must go through their heads; "what if I fall, what if I let my country down, why are they all staring at me like that, I'm sorry, ect..." Sorry for the rant I got a little carried away...hehehehe😅😋😬😶
Shining Armor were you going to mention the inflated scores too? well.... to me, she's a great spinner but not so good in jumping..... lots of potential too
dude flutz callers appear even in videos where she's just having fun, don't you guys have a hobby. I bet you will appear at videos of her just breathing, "she breathes just fine, but she has a flutz". There are very few skaters w textbook technique in all jumps. Yuzu is one of them & even him at the age of Evgenia had a lip sometimes, and he fixed it w Brian. Seriously & the fucking deductions she doesn't get is bc of how rules work at ISU, you would know that if you read that rules, bc they don't downgrade unless the error is severe & getting an e call is not severe, bc she changes the edge of her blade for lutz at the last second before jump, so bc she keeps it flat for a portion of the takeoff is why they don't downgrade. That would change w the new rules though, but still why she's the only one w flutz callers, when I see videos of Daleman, Osmond, Shoma & I could go on & on, I don't see this fucking flutz callers.
Pamela she still should not be receiving a better GOE than Alina Zagitova who actually has a lutz. ISU is clearly fine taking deductions on skaters who can actually take off from an outside edge but okay
And now they will be training mates. In case you didn't know, Evgenia left her longtime coach and is moving to Canada to train with Brian. She made the official announcement today, though there had been rumors during the weekend. What a combo! And a shocker of a news.
stop comparing any skater to yuna! get over the fact that yuna is in the past and these skaters are here now. not everyone has to be the same as yuna, there’s plenty of other skaters. also to everyone hating on evgenia, you try doing what she does and then critique. her technique may not be perfect but it’s damn good enough to make her virtually unbeatable since her senior debut.
literally no skater is the same as another, they all have their strong attributes and weaknesses. just because evgenia has a flutz doesnt mean shes weak in every single other thing which is probably how she beat yuna. alina has the second highest world record after evgenia because her difficulty is higher than yunas with her rippons and continuous jumps. being butthurt and beating a dead horse isnt gonna help yuna get those world records back!
dora Or maybe because judges aren’t giving her the mandatory deductions for it? Have you seen her GOE’s? She takes off on the wrong edge, and yet her jumps are called “textbook.” Somehow judges reward her for her poor technique. She traveled 4 feet on her spins one time yet the judges didn’t deduct her for it. Absurd that Evgenia could come anywhere close to Yuna Kim
okay but why are you labeling a skater by literally one flaw? Katelyn Osmond and Alina also beat Yuna's record! Are you going to point out everything they did wrong and compare it Yuna's one strength too?All skaters have their own flaws and their own strengths. Just because one skater isnt as good as Yuna in one way doesnt mean Yuna's better in every single way.
Don't you see how far she pushes her leg? It's half prerotation not 1/4 as it should be so it gains more cheated momentum and her height and distance it's a joke . Yuzu is absolutely textbook. Speed and position so obviously he loses momentum on the last combo.
were they actually "baiting" each other? or was it "coincidental"? xD on a side note, he seems to jump... how should i put it.... more "gracefully"? sorry i tried, i have absolutely no knowledge of this stuff ^^; i just observe xP
At 1:45 is that a 4F, 4Lz or 4T. Sorry still training to figure out differences in jumps. But honestly though when he does the jump he lands exactly on the beat of the music, talk about being on time Edit: It's 4T
can anyone tell me what jumps they both did? especially jenna's 5 jumps im really curious to what each jump is. i recognized some jumps take off with toe and others are with edge, but i still have trouble recognizing which is which...
This is actually after the actual competition. This is the Gala rehearsal which takes places after most, if not all the disciplines, have finished competing :)
And now they will be training mates. In case you didn't know, Evgenia left her longtime coach and is moving to Canada to train with Brian. She made the official announcement today, though there had been rumors during the weekend. What a combo!
Hanyu denies some reports of suspicion of enthusiastic love with Medve "not involved" May 26, 2018 08:37 Daily Sports The Makuhari performance of the figure skating ice show "Fantasy on Ice" began on the 25th at the Makuhari Event Hall, where Yuzuru Hanyu, who won the 2014 Sochi and 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics for the second time in a row, appeared. Successful triple accelerator at the opening. In public, it was the first jump in 89 days since the Pyeongchang Olympics exhibition on February 25th. Yuzuru Hanyu Denies intimate coverage with Medvedeva "Yuzuru Hanyu in another world ..." Daily sports In the interview after the performance, he cut out the report that doubted her love with Medvedeva, which was reported in some weekly magazines, and denied that "There are strange reports, but I am not involved. I was surprised." He said, "There is a person named Yuzuru Hanyu that I don't know in another world," and walked away. m.sports.ru/figure-skating/1063755856.html
em, so what is the problem with 5 actually years difference? O__o I know lot of pairs with the same and even bigger gap. My father is 5 years older than my mother, so? My husband is 3 years older than me. If he is 10-15 years older, I would agree with you maybe, but 5 years... nah. :-)
Men's singles has quads galore. Whereas in Women's singles, landing quads makes you a legend. So she looked damn good to me. Also, holy shit the number of jumps in a row.
as if u could do that tho lol, i mean like its extremely difficult for women to do quad jumps so i say she was really good if not a tiny bit inconsistent
Triple Flip with hand over her hhead plus triple toe triple toe triple toe plus double toe over her head. No other woman and I dare to say not even some man can add triples as she does. 3F+3T+3T+3T+2T
Little Teller But Alina's not able to do quads tho, right? So Yuzu (4-3-3) > Alina > Evgenia in terms of jumping ability... And yes, I know it's because they have physical barriers, but just to point out a few things...
Ayuna Hattori yuzuru is good. But in jump combos for me it's alina. Alina has no waiting time in doing the next jump which makes it extremely hard. Think about landing the first combo and then using your landing foot to push it to jump 4 more times which makes 4 more clean triples. It's just my opinion
(Facepalm) I disagree. Alina's triple loop combo is impressive but not clean. You should know that Alina's 5-jump combo consists of a few underrotated jumps. And what she did was triple LOOP (3L), which is completely different from the triple TOELOOP (3T) that Yuzuru did here. "Alina has no waiting time in doing the next jump which makes it extremely hard." WHAT?? That is because the type of jump is completely different! LOL. Of course a loop combo is more difficult than a toeloop combo. But Yuzuru does not need to waste his time to practise the 3L combo because he can already do quads including 4T-3T. Why damage your hips unneccessarily? (Yes, doing too much triple loop combo is dangerous for the hips. Tara Lipinski did 3L-3L and that hurt her hips.) I think it is super unfair to compare someone that has never practised 3L combo with one that practise it day in day out. Yuzuru can do 3A-3A-3A though, should I compare that with Alina's 3L combo? That just sounds plain stupid. LOL
Agree. Alina is obviously good at what she does (meaning, her 3L combo), but trying to compare her to Yuzu who focuses on quads in combination with 3T is like comparing oranges to apples. Why bother? It would probably make more sense to compare Alina to Evgenia.
Haven // my parents are 5 years apart and a lot of my friends’ parents age gap are much bigger too... I hope that you’re young because referring to it as gross is unnecessary
My father is 5 years older than my mother and they got married when she was 18 and he was 23. I dont know where you re from, maybe in your country 5 years gap is unusual and too much, but in my country, for example, 5 years is absolutely ok. And also Hanyu looks a bit younger, so he and Medvedeva look cute together :)
