We chose to feature this journey in Episode 2 because that's the beginning era of today's figure skating world - quads and camaraderie!
And the programs this season is the laying stone for his Olympic title 2018!

Yuzuru said "score is score, but my performance is my performance" . Yuzuru is only happy when he performed perfect, because he sets such a high standard for himself. To me, every performance from him is beautiful, falls and all. If not for those injuries , he could have swept all the gold medals out there:) . Ohhh maybe not coz there is the ISU judging thingyyy.... But we all know who is the STAR in Figure Skating Planet - YUZURU HANYU!!!! even his name is the most beautiful name to me .

This was the best season of men's figure skating ever. The two top athletes skated their best and most beautiful programs ever. They both had amazing achievements (Yuzuru with all his records, changing the sport, and Javier winning the World Championship for the second time in a row). The respect and admiration they showed for each other was a magnificent plus as well😍

I can watch Yuzuru even if the jumps don't work, Yuzuru still completes his performance to the end with all his might! After listening to all his interviews up to now, I now understand why Yuzuru continue competing after 2 Olympic Gold medals. He was skating for the fans, because people let him know how much they were inspired by his skating, so he continued and endured the injuries and kept pushing and kept improving the sport, keeping up with the younger skaters who bring in more jumps. He competed jump with jump.. he did not let up and rest on his past accomplishments. Many felt and saw how he was underscored so many times, but he still skated through that. For this, Yuzuru became the legend, and the most beloved Figure Skater for all time. I do not think there will be another Yuzuru Hanyu ever.

That's the difference between the good and the great: the absolute belief in self and the dream, continuing to pick oneself up after falling, and letting the failures & setbacks become the impetus to greatness. Yazuru Hanyu is competitive but there's something else driving him. It's his love of the sport, a passion, and surpassing his own personal best. That is also an earmark of a champion.

Thank you for the lovely documentary. As always, your documentaries are very interesting, good storytelling, great footage and editing. I don't know much about figure skating and Yuzuru Hanyu in general. Your documentaries really help. I started watching him completely by chance, all I knew is what written in Wiki. I thought he was amazing to be able to achieve that much result since young with such a small body. But I didn't know he had gone through so much up and down in the career. Earthquake in 2011, injury in 2014, then 2015, and even more in 2018. But he still stands firm at the top and being so positive and precious. He is so inspiring.

Can't wait for the next episode!!!! This series is making me realize how big yuzuru is, and why so many people love him... and why I am in love with him lol. I discovered figure skating this month and for some reason I started to watch everything yt recommended me about him, and I couldn't stop. Then I found your channel and now I can better understand why I'm feeling like this and I'm starting to understand how figure skating works, thank you! Yuzuru is the G.O.A.T! fight me!

Thank you for making this video. I'm late to this fandom. It's really nice to see the not so perfect Yuzuru in earlier stage of his career and how he evolved into the god-like current stage.

真的没法想象运动员的意志力，我记得小学四年级时候由于可以立定跳远2.18米（全年级最远），体育老师让我尝试训练跑跑看，最开始400米是跑不下来的，练习了几天，400米可以跑完了，然后强迫自己跑800米，真的很累，就想着还是赶紧回去教室上课吧。刚看NC说他跳过300000，这是怎么坚持下来的啊，Yuzuru应该也跳了这么多以上，真的不容易
