and immediately showed his level by obtaining the highest score and almost equal to his own world record, however, what caught the most attention during his routine was the rain of teddy bears that the crowd dropped on the track
@@a2b._ they help pick up the bears yuzuru donates them to orphanages if I’m remember correctly does this every time he goes to compete it was just super emotional this time cause of his hiatus
For anyone who's new here, his name is Yuzuru Hanyu, a talented two-time Olympic champion who has broke the World Record 19 times. He loves Winnie The Pooh and his fans would throw pooh plushes after he perform to show their appreciation for him. In this performance, he tried his best and could not even stand properly. He pushed his body to its limit but is underscored and won silver. But everyone knows who deserves to be the champion. Not only his skating skills is good but he's a humble, friendly and respectful person with beautiful personality. (And yes he's hot)
Sometimes its not for the medals. It is to do what no one else can. Hes a legend. You have to respect the sheer ability. Happy Retirement Hanzu. Relax now.
He is relaxing changing the Pro skating career producing top notch Ice shows skating all by himself in front of 35k people and now is preparing a solo ice Tour accross Japan starting from november
@@emerouxAnd his presence guarantees huge stadiums still sell out. For his own ice shows they even sell standing only tickets and still sell out fast! I wish I could see him perform live & in person! 💙
the fact that they all know that he loves winnie the pooh especially the stuffed animal version, and so they bought winnie the pooh stuff for him is such soooo cute!!!
@@elenaspano5067 His favorite toy is Winnie pooh the teddy bear… and that’s his fans gave 1000s of that to him after his performance to show him his love.
@@notaberryg3562 No, it's just being 27 and still remaining in the top of the sport is not common. Physically, your "golden period" can be very short and happens earlier in your twenties. Yuzuru had performed insanely well for many years now. Think they used "was" as he was 27 years old as of this competition.
@@andreagarciamedrano4228 : not sure exactly. He has got 2 Olympic gold medals in men's single - he is one of the few who got more than one gold medals in the history (the others are 66 years ago). May be ISU want to promote new/younger skaters and stop him from getting more medals/break more records since other skater may never get chance to shine. After Winter Olympic in 2018, ISU changed the scoring rules - new rules heavily favor the jumpers - other than jumps, those jumpers do simpler steps/sequences/transitions and didn't do good job in interpret the music but they still get better artistic score than Yuzuru. The new score rules causes a lot of disagreements - audience can somewhat tell how well a skater perform artistically - it's very different from the scores judges gave.
@@andreagarciamedrano4228 - ISU is corrupted to the core. What Huiying Lu says is true. More corruption? After Yuzu announced he wanted to land 4A, ISU reduced the base value of the jump. 4A is believed to be the most difficult jump and would test human limits. After Yuzu retires bye bye FS and corrupted ISU.
honestly he was the only figure skater I looked forward to in competitions. all of his skates (even his falls) are so graceful. And his outfits were always the best 😩
Also can't forget the time when he got injured during a warm up before his performance and they told him that he don't have to do it but Yuzuru insisted that he wanted to go through with his performance. During his performance he kept falling down and I'll admit that it was pretty hard to watch but you can also see his absolute determination and at the end... He got the highest score!!! High respects for him!
Definitely the most emotional and spectacular scene ever in the figure skating history. It is such a important and unforgettable for Yuzu in his whole life
I'm 60 years old, so let me say this: He is a drop-dead beautiful, handsome hunk. His skating is sublime. He deserves every honour for his hard work. Well done!
This is amazing. Imagine his perspective. Tired, exhausted yet knowing it wasnt your best. Maybe feeling defeated, embarrassed and then you see all those fans throwing you the plushies of a cartoon charavter you love. Such a wholesome moment. Even tho I dont know much about ice skating, Yuzuru both in terms of performance and personality is definetly my fav
I remember reading about the Pooh Bears that are tossed on ice. Yuzu said something along the lines of he donates most to children's hospitals in the city he performs in, lets the kiddos who collect them off the ice have a few, keeps a couple for himself, and lets the rest go back home into the woods.
Ha uno sguardo che fa quasi paura dal tanto che trasmette la sua determinazione♥️ ragazzo davvero eccezionale, non importa quanto possa cadere perché si rialzerà ancora , ancora e ancora.....
I heard that it was really hard to chuck those things on the rink especially if your seated farther away. Idk if it’s true but it’s still cool they three them
the type of moment that wont ever repeat. Not to disrespect any of the actual and futue fig skaters but Yuzu will forever stand alone on the spot he created himself, no one compares.
A dream in the future I will never get. I'm still studying now in 2023. Get a good job and fly over to watch Yuzu skates❤ The day Yuzu announced his retirement, my heart broke. I was dreaming of becoming one with of them watching Yuzu skates and see Pooh's rain live! See him gracefully on the ice like the prince he is. But I'm grateful to be given an opportunity to even watch him live through television and live in the era of his greatness.
Retired only from competitions, he is happily skating for his audience fillings arenas all by himself 😊 no more unfair scores only love from his fans ❤❤❤
He's just that awesome combination of talent, great anatomy, passion for ice skating and this amazing emotional presence to his performances combined. Knock out beautiful to watch! He deserves every win for his dedication and hard work.
Okay. For those who just tumble into this video, Yuzuru Hanyu is two times Olympic champion, World Cup champion and grand prix champion. He broke 19 world records, including his own. His artistic performance brought figure skating sport unto a new level for he touched audience hearts like nobody else. Audience loved him so much that would throw Pooh the Winnie onto the rinks at the end of his performance. Of course the girls need to pick them up so that other competitors can skate after him. He announced his retirement and beginning of his professional career as an figure skating artist.
@@lindaajong He is a professional athlete now! He is still skating, he opened a youtube channel and he will be holding his solo ice show Prologue this week. Don't miss out on it coz I think he's about to bring new programs.
