Thank you Yvonne for the boldness. Kenya is quickly sinking due to greed / pure evil. God is angry with us and we wonder why the flooding and accidents.😡. We need divine intervention, the battle is spiritual
This very true,we have a government which has lost priority, they don't know where we are or where we r going,a government of talking and doing very little
Stop this crap...they are asking not for something new but implementation of a 2017 agreement..besides interns have been paid that amount up to date,,,its Nakumincha takung that pay from them and slashing it to 70000.we never revise salaries downwards
❤ well put. Politics is most paying in the country. I ask my self, why would an mp use over 40 million fir compains whereas, their 5 year actual salary is approx 700,000x12x5 =42,000,000
A friend of mine stayed in the house of a governor who was campaigning for reelection. He told me that the governor had 50 million in cash in the house, and that's just what he had that day. Cost of living would probably be very low were it not for the massive corruption in this country. Remember that everything we consume, from bread to fuel to mobile airtime and to loans and cash transfers using mobile money is taxed
Nyinyi mlikua mnafurahia huyu mangaa akiingia state house in the name of president... hawa watabiri wenye wanabiri vifo za watu ya ruto ni lini haswa??
My suggestion offer the interns 156k now with the balance 50x12k being paid immediately upon completion of the 1 year internship, with automatic appointment and posting as a Doc.
In Kenya, where the prescription for success seems to come in the form of political appointments rather than medical degrees, it's evidently more lucrative to wield a title like "Chief Administrative Secretary" than to wield a stethoscope. After all, who needs to heal the sick when you can just administer the bureaucracy?
When you think narrowly and hold all other factors constant which is idealistic, you will arrive at the same conclusion, but when you think like a ceo/ president you will know that implementing 2017 CBA especially salary to interns is not an issue, the issue is the consequences that will come with its implementation. Other sectors/professionals will start demonstrating for salary increment and that is where the challenge comes in, which most of you overlook. Take this very simple analogy, you have more than four kids, if you dare buy a gift to one kid & nothing to the rest, you know the outcome, Only parents will understand. Then you can do some extrapolation. Paying intern doctors 206,000 while other interns are paid 25,000 by the same government...really!!! that margin is way too big yawa. A rational thinking person will know what will happen if they dare pay that amount, gova sio wajinga nani!!!! 206,000 ni salary ya lecturer mzima.. Ni hayo tu kwa sasa. Thank you very important.😂😂
You make two very different arguments both of which are wrong, far fetched and simply shallow. You overlook the role of medical interns, and second you compare running a country to running a family. You have no idea what you are saying, and it would be better for everyone in the comments if you kept your mouth shut
@@emanuelkipkorir3587Do your research before yapping... As per 2017 CBA, interns are supposed to earn 206,000, this cba has not been implemented and that is why doctors are fighting for its implementation. Currently, a newly employed doctor starts with around 138,000 (entry level). Then how on earth can an intern earn more than a newly employed doctor(as per your assertion). Kmpdu officials are saying 'they reduced intern doctors stipend' because the government signed the 2017 cba and as per this cba, intern doctors should be earning upto 206,000. Gova signed the cba and that is why kmpdu want it fully implemented. So it yet to be implemented and on the same leaf, they are yet to earn the 206,000 stipend. If you don't get it, forget about it.
@@dante_1273 you point of view is narrow and one-sided, that is y you are arrive at the same conclusion. No one is disputing the importance of interns. The analogy is just to make you understand the outcome and the consequences of some decisions, which you may not understand at this point.
