Her Nigerian accent, isn't necessarily her natural accent but picked up from her parents. She puts it on when she is trying to depict her parent, it is done deliberately.
freeyourmind ummm she moved to the states when she was 9, she isnt mimicking her parents per say. We learn to switch it all as we want, depending on who we are around. Signed another Nigerian immigrant kid
OMG .. I'm a Nigerian living in UK. And I can relate to her story about pushy Nigerian parents. These were my mum's exact words when I was in elementary school "That student that scored 100%..how many heads does he have? ..1 ..so do you. You should always aim to get the maximum score". I owe my life's successes, determined spirit and self-drive to my mum
La Verne You already said they are poor not all though and poor people can’t afford education even when they believe in its power but if they ever find a chance or an opportunity trust they grabbing it with both hands. We strive harder out here too because, getting educated in Nigeria doesn’t guarantee a job due to the issues we have with our government. I mean this is general knowledge but glad you asked
@La Verne dude you are every where asking this same stupid question..did a nigerian kid scam your mother?? You sound so frustrated and butt hurt towards nigerians..
Africans come to America and enjoy the very things you claim they hate when they come over here so stop it. I've first hand seen African men come over here and try to sleep with random women, drink themselves to sleep, and all the above. They are not perfect like you'd like to claim they are, they still fall victim. PLENTY of them.
In some scenarios, they're worse, I know someone who got the belt from his parents for being ranked 2nd in his class, also it's not even a Nigerian thing, some Ghanaians are like that too.
@La Verne That has to do with poverty. How can you push your kids to do well in school if they can't afford to study or can't afford to send them to a good school. There's a difference.
Yvonne!!! Sista! When I tell you I cannot wait until the day I give Sallie Mae a check plus her interest. I'm going to climb to the top of the highest mountain and scream lol
Man Yvonne is great. I wish I had that mindset growing up of always looking upward to be the best you can possibly be and to keep striving once you get there. I'm going to start thinking that way today.
It's not even that we're looking down, we're just always looking up. So if you're not in our purview, we don't see you. - Yvonne Orji (The Breakfast Club) Nobody is your competition except for the person you trying to advance over. So it is like, who is in your purview? Get them out, why are they even there? Why did you even give them the opportunity to be better than you? - Yvonne Orji (The Breakfast Club)
@@reoavery6553 I'm sorry you having a bad day and decided to take it out on a whole race of people with your racist rant....I refuse to get on ya level...good luck in life

Nobody said that he's 100 % of anything. We're talking about the fact that he keeps forgetting one of the countries that he's from. And Senegal is one of them, according to his African Ancestry results.

Right! I was a little disappointed when I saw that the interview is only 25 minutes. I know that the reason why some of the interviews are so short is because the celebs have other interviews or activities scheduled for the day.
That’s what I was thinking! But maybe her management was taking her to the next interview! Oh well I’m headed over to Colbert’s RU-vid to watch her there!
