Yes I make most of my own batteries. I have some RU-vids on how we used to build batteries. We have a new method. We waterjet our layout out of copper to give us Fusible links for every cell. I may have some in one of the youtubes let me see if I can find it for you, or I will video my current battery build. Thanks for the nice words. Are you following the Honda 2023 build?

Build looks great. I do like how you mounted the on/off switch. Do you know if anyone makes a cutoff switch that would work for a QS 8 male/female connector? I'm trying to leave my battery connected but I want to be able to shut off the power with a red switch like you have mounted. Thanks for any inputs/suggestions.
I use thus type switch on all my electric bikes. You can get them on Amazon. Buy the BEP brand. The single battery type allows you to remove the key, for a security lock. These switches are rated at the amps we are using, but are only rated for 48V. I have been using this type switch for about 5 years in 72V bikes and have had no problems. We always put a spark suppressing resistor across the switch (1K10W resistor, amazon also)

I received the parts and have a few questions on how to wire it. Do you solder the resistor across both posts? I'm also assuming it's the positive cable that mounts to both posts. Do you have a video that addresses it? Thanks Don!
