What is you opinion of site 90 and 91? Will be camping with 2 tents. Would like to be protected from the wind. Or can you suggest any other preferably with a tap and close to an ablution.

Hi Jacqui 90 and 91 is on the southern border of the park so you will certainly get the most wind there depending on what time of year you are going. If you are in tents the smaller sites will work and are best protected from the wind. Those sites start from number 45 to 82. They are all well protected and close to ablutions. Hi Maurit The camp is very well managed and we have never heard reports of it being unsafe so I would say yes :)

Thank you ever so much for the effort you put into your reviews. It is such useful information. I've neve been to Yserfontein, but will visit as soon as the China virus allows travel. Thank you and God bless, Dave

Do they have any monkeys there and if they do are they a problem? And also do they do long term camping?
@AfricanCampsiteReviews
@AfricanCampsiteReviews 3 года назад

The whole town has only one entrance and exit. And that is monitored by security cameras.

Great review. Thank you. Any tips on camping at the coast (eg using storm straps, wind protection etc).
@AfricanCampsiteReviews
@AfricanCampsiteReviews 3 года назад
Hi Gert Thank you. Glad it was helpful. Because we would like to give objective advice we do not promote any specific products but storm straps is always useful in coastal sites. That said, the most important thing is always to face the back of your camp site into the wind. That provides sufficient protection from the wind in most situations.
