Good video, my only comment would be, it would had been nice to know which lens was used in each photo. You listed the camera, ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. It would have been nice to which lens was used. Beside that is it was great video, and I own the 28mm and have Z 5 and looking forward to using it on my up coming trip.

Not only are they talented artists, but they are also software engineers who managed to get Snapbridge to work! Kudos!

In all the photos here you write Z6II, but this is not about the camera, its about the 28 and the 40. Why did you not write witch lens you were using in the pictures? Great photos and a great location. Thanks

Lovely shots and thanks for taking the time to review these little primes. However - c'mon girls, that lady in the white dress just didn't happen to wander into your shot, she was a setup and part of your crew!

Really nice video! 👌👍🔝📸 I have the Z50 1.8 to my Z5. It is a fantastic lens, but I feel it is to intrusive for street photography and will probably get the 40/2 thank to this inspiring video Keep up your good work! 😊

1:01: The Monitor shows F 1.8 and the lens comes with a lens hood. Most likely the lens in this scene is the Z50mm F1.8 but neither the Z28mm nor the Z40mm.

Fantastic observation. Now while the lenses might be awesome, this footage would cost so much distrust about the brand. BTW I am a happy Nikon DSLR user for last 3+years

You are not specifying the focal length in the taken photos only camera settings. So technically these shots could have been taken on any Z lens.

I was going to say the same, but I scrolled down and saw that you beat me to it. Yes, the missing focal length would be of more interest than the ISO, or some other data.

Currently own the 40mm but I think I should get the 28mm as well as I am visiting Lisbon and I'm guessing a wider lens is needed for the narrow streets there.

Why do you made ISO 500 with 1/500 in 3:26? Yes, for Z7II this ISO value is OK but... it looks strange. The same question for the next picture at 3:29 - ISO500 / 1/1000 - why?
@mre_1911
@mre_1911 11 месяцев назад
Hi. Why do you use ISO500 at f3.2 an 1/2500s. You will loose quality because of Image noise. Lower ISO would help. Architecture is not moving 😊

Thanks, very nice little video :) However, you should have stayed - you missed an opportunity for shooting in the city by night with those fast lenses, would have been fun to see what you could have captured ;)

Hi Nikon Europe Luv your updates and channel. Using the Z6, saw this video on changing the lens making the shutter blind come down before removing the lens. Maybe not recommended but is this safe in long time practise or could damage the shutter. SEE video Myong Hong @

The Z6 doesn't protect your shutter?
@NikonEurope
@NikonEurope 2 года назад
The Z 6 does protect the sensor, but it does not have a curtain to protect dust from entering the camera while changing lenses. This feature is now added to the Z 9.

The way the screen tilts on the Nikon Z6II, Fujifilm XT3 AND XT5 makes them my favorite for photography. This type of screen works better on a tripod with an L Bracket than that with a flip out screen.

If you can’t take good photos at that location with those light conditions and models you’ve never had a camera or smartphone in your hands. With really everything that can make a photo you can do the job. That said, the lenses are good and for a decent price👍.

It is not necessary to ask people if you can take their picture-unless you have the intention to sell the picture for commercial use. The street is a common place, where one gives up their privacy. Whether with your phone or with your camera, you have the right and freedom to take pictures. The entire soul and idea of the street photography is the candid and documental character. Neither Cartier-Bresson nor Eisenstaedt could take those masterpieces asking people for permission !

I find it also ridiculous that nobody says anything about the security cameras sprinkled around and recording you 24/7 without your consent-indoor and outdoor, not just the authorities, but companies, as well as, regular people through the new personal camera systems. Companies like Amazon listen to your private life, even in your bedroom, but nobody does anything actively. Facebook and Whatsapp read and store all your private conversations (and moreover, sell them). BUT, if you take a picture on the street for artistic reasons or for the passion of photography inspired by legendary street photographers, hell yeah... You are invading someone's privacy !!! May gods help you : ))) Why are we so blind, dumm and inert when it comes to the facts? I also blame the companies such as Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, Sony for they do not open their mouth and take an action to create awareness and defend photographers' rights. ❗️❗️❗️

Thèse 2 lenses are not too bad … but why this poor build quality all in plastic including the mount ??? More than that , with the SE version nikon got the opportunity to have some metal version and why not with an aperture ring. viltrox do this and add a sun shade for more or less the same price !!! Is it Viltrox role to show Nikon the right way of building prime lenses ? On my side I re sell the 28 and 40 SE version to buy the Viltrox 35mm f1.8 which is faster , all metal and feels far better on my Nikon Zf and not like a toy. Please Nikon wake up. I am not against a cheap line but please think also to amators who like beautiful and quality objects.

Since this comment I discovered another jewel : the voigtlander 40mm f1.2 Z mount. It s just the perfect retro alliance - if you like the focal - with the Zf. It s not cheap for a manual lense (around 700€) but it s really a good bargain. All metal, smooth focus lens (Leica feeling), extra smooth but with delicate clicks aperture ring and a frontal lens which feels not cheap. And for the optics quality , at full aperture it s just like a retro lens with a wonderful diffusion of light and when you close after f2.8 it’s so sharp. In summary the perfect alliance of the 2 words. So now I put my 35mm Viltrox - which I still love as standard lens - on my Z7 and it fits very well and balanced on it.

Aurélie seems obsessed for asking people for permission. No. This is maybe "photographing in the streets" but definitely not street photography.

Nice pictures but in street photography I want to be stealth and with this big cameras you really aren't. There's no way over my lumix/Olympus system. Also the lenses are way smaller.
