I do find it funny that Toriyama's favorite is Piccolo, but he gets shit on the most, and his least favorite is Vegeta, but he's by far the best written character in the series
@@Wizkidd239 very exciting for future super arcs. i mean the gammas were considered very strong and orange tanked the hit like absolutely nothing, love it
@@Wizkidd239Piccolo has had it a long time coming. Strength wise , a Namekian will never rack in enough sales to justify more than a momentary advantage over Saiyans. Character wise, Vegeta is by far the most captivating and relatable. Being god tier is kind of common, is SS Broly a god? Is every individual who took a hit from SSB a god? No. Is it because Shenon gave him a tip for good service? Nah. But let’s pay respect to the fact they’ve never fought and how funny that would be to listen to Chris Sabat
Basically one of the pioneers of the reverse power creep. Goku had to throw literally everything at Vegeta and it still wasn't enough needing help. That's when a bad guy is at their best when you know they will lose but it won't be as simple as a last second lucky hit Heck if Vegeta didn't let his ego get the better of him. Him and nappa would have beat everyone before Goku got there and then tag team him and boom series ends.
its funnier when you think about how Goku exhausted himself with the kioken after their beam struggle, meaning if Vegeta didn't lose his shit and cut his power in half with the artifical moon technique. He would have murdered goku and had no trouble against Gohan and Krillin.
@@vixenxia2475Vegeta sis let his pride get to his head. If he was a bit more level headed him nappa and saibamen could clean up everything before Goku came over
That's the thing with Vegeta. When his head is clear (Once a decade), he's got perhaps the highest battle IQ in the series, which fits quite well alongside Bulma's techy streak. I mean, he could be the author of "The Art of War (In Space)" if his damn need to be dominant wasn't so ingrained. Had Goku's head trauma not occurred, Vegeta's Frieza-induced inferiority-phobia would have him as the most warped by a mile.
None of the Saiyans cared about their race, they cared about the *pride* of the race. This is a plot point hammered in since the beginning of Z, it was alien for a Saiyan to develop the concept of a "Friend" Goku was the oddball out, that's why losing a best friend was such a devastating experience.
I'd like to add, I think Vegeta had a bit of respect for Gohan and Krillian by Namek, 1st for the amazing fight they gave him and 2nd that they were brave enough to go to Namek....plus I think he low key wanted them to witness him obtaining immortality.
I dont think Trunks' super saiyan was weaker than Vegeta or Gokus, he just doesnt have the same combat instincts or experience they do as a result hes not weaker just unrefined and as such would be more exploitable.
I wonder if Goku saw the potential in Gohan for SSJ2 and THEN realized the best way to not get over run with anger, inorder to ascend, was to completly control SSJ
Probably saw the pathway in himself. On Namek against Frieza. He essentially accidentally unlocked Super Saiyan, only discovered it when Vegeta was dying & cried for him to avenge the race. Krillins death is what drove him MAD! The lsot & pain created an anger & rage that Goku never could have discovered on his own.
If you think about the Moro arc when Goku said that Vegeta learned something he could not or the fact Vegeta lasted longer his first time then Goku in the time chamber
Great video. One small correction: Goku and Gohan learned to maintain SSJ even while alseep. At least in the anime. Goku falls asleep while fishing with Krillian and Gohan and Krillian remarks how Goku remains SSJ even while sleeping. To test this, he chucks a rock at the sleeping Goku and Goku gets hit and is confused why Krillian woke him with a rock.
Vegeta was always cold prior to Dragon Ball, just like any other Saiyan. Manga and sub states he just hated how the Saiyans were used and betrayed by Freeza.
One massive tidbit that showcases who Vegeta really was, is during his sacrifice against Majin Buu. He knew full well that we would be subjected to hell, eternal damnation, yet still pressed forward anyway. He willingly damned his own soul, in an effort to save what he cared about. That, right there, sealed his fate as a good guy.
Damn good video scholar not even 5 minutes in. People Always talk shit about Vegeta crying when Frieza killed him. You explained it exactly how I see it as it is. Vegeta after a literal lifetime of holding back any and all decent emotion. Even the fuckin genocide of his people. His spirit died totally I would've cried too that fight meant so much. The pride of an entire race along with all the countless other victims. Including the ones he created he routinely described Frieza as a monster.
vegeta knew that he would need to be strong just incase he was needed not to mention he knew gohan was getting to used to the peaceful times so he would have to pick up the slack no thought that goku was coming back he didnt know atall on this he wanted to truely test his power and to see what his strength was at him going to the tourny was purely to test his power and see what he could really do he was hoping gohan was gunna be in it and was hoping he hadnt gotten too soft plus he's a saiyan of royal blood good chance his royal blood compelled him to train so hard just to make sure he was the strongest altogether plus he wants to be strong to protect bulma and trunks the same reason gohan got back into training to protect videl and pan
I would have loved to see Vegeta training during the time skip actually thinking about Gohan in SSJ2 form with that dark smile walking down CELL. Would have been amazing to see.
The background music reminds me of the gba game DBZ: Legacy of Goku 2. I used to spend hours playing that game as a kid all the way to unlocking Hercule for the alternate ending.
Is cheating because goku died got to come back from the dead was taught a secret technique by the gods it wasn't natural to a saiyan vegeta used the tools he was born with his own strength
I think Vegeta in the buu saga was little more relax but he might of had ptsd of trunks death maybe that's also a reason he went majin to rid of the guilt he had to trunk's death
Thanks For Talking On, The Saiyan Prince Vegeta Like Always Saiyan Scholar He Started As Saiyan Space Pirate Conquered By, Frieza's Mentally &, Ambition To Beat Anyone To, Develop Changes By, Goku Bulma, &, Future Trunks Vegeta Being, Rival / Friend, Lover, &, Father Towards The People That Love Him The Most Vegeta Role Models Would Be, Bardock &, Tien Because They Are Courageous & Got Pride As Warriors
"Cheat-code Kaioken spammer" has earned this man the like and the sub. Keep up the good work 🤣👍 (P.S.) Ngl I teared up a little when he explained why Vegeta blew himself up against Buu. Great analysis!
As much as gokus character in super being watered down. Vegeta on the other hand has the best character developement from prideful prince to a proud father and shows proud king qulities meeting his race from universe 6 . Vegeta's perfect ending is going to universe 6 and living as the king that he was destinated.
DBS takes place 6 months after the buu saga it was retconned from the battle of gods movie so that way super would fit the timeline correctly and finish before the end of Z
Saiyan Scholar, would you do fellow dragon ball fans the favor of offering your opinion on the strength of Dragon Ball Heroes’ SSJ4 Gogeta Limit Breaker and LSSJ4 Limit Breaker Broly?
Vegeta sparing Bulma and Krillin on Namek might actually come from place other than getting even for having been spared. Remember that at this point of the story, Frieza and his henchemen are scouting the planet to find high energy sources in order to spot Namekian villages to find the dragon balls. Knowing this, and knowing that Vegeta actually is a good strategist (as long as he's not in a fit of ego-related rage), he knew he had to keep it low to get under Frieza's radar. So I think that Vegeta spared Krillin and Bulma because it would have been a dangerous move in that situation just to get rid of foes that didn't represent any threat to him.
I think majin Vegeta and Goku is representation of Vegeta fighting his old evil self goku is supposed to the current Vegeta and majin Vegeta is his old self and Vegeta mentioned how goku stole his honor i think that's old Vegeta talking about how he stole his pride and the old self version its like the old Vegeta is trying to restore himself and rid himself of emotions and he also views goku as himself
Kaio Ken is NOT a cheat code. It's uniting MIND AND BODY AS ONE TO BECOME STRONGER/FASTER , NATURAL. SSJ is NATURAL and not a cheat code. Cheating started with Vegeta going Majin💯
I think what many people have not interpreted correctly, or automatically assume, is they assume Oozaru is 10 times “ Base Form” I know I know, I hate the word too. I make an effort to say ‘Normal Form’ every time. This is not true. Oozaru is a saiyans power amplified 10 fold. It doesn’t matter if it’s a saiyan that can’t use Super Saiyan, or a saiyan that CAN. Vegetas statement specifically said that the Great Ape increases a saiyans power 10 fold. That is not…HE is not specifying that to “baaaase form” If we look at GT, this is the ONLY example we are ever given, ever, in anime, to derive any information from. And, Omega Shenron dodged his mouth blast. Whether that’s just gonna be chocked down to inconsistent or poor writing or not making sense, well to me that is SS2 Vegeta, times 10. Which is more than a SS3 Vegeta. And he dodged that mouth blast. Then Kakarot is acting like Vegeta is scary and a threat, and is grabbed and is being harmed by the ahha ‘fake squeezing’ while Vegeta is acting. Or so he claimed. Maybe he wasn’t acting, maybe it took him that long to regain control, but his prior experience with Bebi Vegeta and never mind in Saiyan Saga, makes it seem likely he was acting. Oozaru would be weaker than SS Vegeta otherwise. So it actually makes more sense that this was SS2 Vegeta times 10. Before going Golden, then before ascending to SS4. I don’t know if you’ve covered this in other videos, or if you’re about to say it further into the video, but… SS4 Vegeta: At long last, I've ascended.
Let’s not forget that in the Saiyan Saga, Piccolo contributed to the Z fighters’ war against Nappa and Vegeta by destroying the moon earlier on, forcing Vegeta to resort to the artificial moon to weaken his base power level in return for a 10 times power multiplier
I used to get so annoyed when people said goku beat vegeta I always said no the good guys beat vegeta goku was done yeah he may have lost because of goku but it wasn't goku alone 1on1 vegeta stomped goku. Also I think if vegeta and goku fought before 19 and 20 and no heart virus I think vegeta would be stronger I feel like vegetas base would have been have been a little stronger due to training under 400 ×earth's gravity for so long.
Why doesn't vegeta get as strong as goku and gohan? Because vegeta trained to get stronger the goku and cell. While goku and gohan trained to surpass their limits. That's what made goku a genius at martial arts, he didn't let pride tell him when to stop.
Hell, not even Vegeta training with Future Trunks, what if Piccolo took the time to train Future Trunks in the Room of Spirt and time instead of going in with with Vegeta? Vegeta would most likely end up more or less the same strength while Future Trunks with Piccolo's help might have mastered Super Saiyan and Piccolo would have been far stronger as well
Vegeta their was their for Trunks first 8 in da Buu saga Vegeta was training according to Bulma .the super EP 2 was for Vegeta if you weren't paying attention bcos Goku had EP1 N Buu saga Vegeta was married to Bulma n lived in da same house n Vegeta was different from the cell saga bcos they were a happy family they n also Japanese culture they don't hug like dat
Vegeta only cares for the Saiyan race when they are strong. If they are weak, Vegeta doesn't give a shit about them. Vegeta didn't give a shit when Planet Vegeta was destroy and most of the Saiyan were killed. He only gave a shit because learn it was Frieza who did it because he hates Frieza. He didn't even give a shit about Raditz. He didn't give shit about Nappa and killed him. He didn't give a shit about Goku until he got his ass whooped on Earth. He didn't even give a shit about his little brother Tarble until he changed his way on Earth. Vegeta has only show interest in a Sayan when he/she is really strong beyond normal.
A lot of your presumptions are drawn from the (godawful) first Funimation dub and filler. Vegeta's tears stem from him having lost the will to fight due to 1) him not being a super Saiyan and 2) the monumental difference in power between Freeza and himself. It's spelled out quite plainly in the manga. And that speech in the first dub is extremely inaccurate. He made no excuses about "why he was so evil" or whatever, and thank God for that. Had he actually been crying about Freeza making him that way he'd have no hope for redemption. Vegeta didn't attack Cell out of frustration, it was rage. Trunks was killed before his eyes. No more, no less. A justified rage, but rage nonetheless. It was even selfish in a sense as he declared that only he could kill Cell. His first truly selfless act was exploding vs Buu in an attempt to clean up his mess. Yes yes, Goku shares some blame for indulging Vegeta but the largest portion of said blame rests solely on Vegeta's shoulders. Z Vegeta peaked on Namek. He was awful until Dragonball Super.
Pride is also i lie. When you are stating you are proud to be (blank) its usually because (blank) portrayed in a bad light. Its purely a defensive statement. Nobody sane states they are proud of (blank) unprovoked. The fact Vegeta states he is proud of his bloodline unprovoked all the time shows to me just how much the death of his people truly broke his view of himself.
The artwork that you used for this video really takes me back to days of middle school and high school where we carried around 3 ring binders full of DBZ and GT pictures.. I would go to my school's library room and go ham on the computers! Printing out pictures.. Until there was no more colored ink left 😂😂😂😂
Don't forget his father raised Vegeta to be a weapon against Frieza & the king of all Saiyans. I believe he was afraid of what he might do to Trunks best case scenario because of the kind of monster he had to become in order to survive in the Frieza Force, so I really don't think it's fare to judge him be human standards. Paragus & king Vegeta are hilariously bad fathers by human standards but we really don't know that much about the universe 7 Saiyans culture besides the fact that they were planet killers who sold the remains for a profit because they are dead and gone in virtually every timeline we see even(I haven't seen, read, or played all of the dragon ball content just a lot of it) in videogames. The mere fact that he could change as much as he did in GT is proof of his love for his family. I've struggled with many problems that make me wholly unfit to live with others over my life and sure their nowhere near as extreme as Vegeta's problems but I'm pushing 30 now and I still have a very long way to go. So I'd say that changing yourself that dramatically in less than 40 years is a pretty goddamned impressive feat.
Vegeta did cheat with oozaru using some technique to force the change rather than naturally with a moon with a 10x boost with no negatives while kaioken was a double edge sword.
